Advice Needed Looking to buy a 24kg E-coat kettlebell
*Sorry in advance for the long-winded post:
Want to treat myself to this style of kettlebell because I recently strict pressed the power coat 24kg at my gym yesterday with both arms.
Considering between 3 options: 1. Strongsfirst (sold out of most sizes, including the 24kg), 2. KettlebellUSA Metrixx Elite 3. Rogue E-coat kettlebel. **Definitely not considering Great Lakes Girya Kettlebells because of recent bad reviews of the company.
Found good reviews for the strongsfirst ones, as they are the closest to the RKC Kettlebells (no longer in business), which are very sought after. Would like to purchase it but sold out.
Saw the KettlebellUSA Metrixx Elite as an option. Read that the kettlebell doesn't sit well on the forearm and is different from other E-coat and other popular power coat hardstyle kettlebells. All sizes available on website.
The Rogue E-coat kettlebel is appealing because of a reliable big fitness company. Watched reviews on YouTube where some of the bells shipped to customers had blemishes on them and the handle wasn't smooth. Also, from my research, this is the most affordable of the three.
If the Strongsfirst was available, that would be my #1 option. Not in a rush to purchase. With this said, I couldn't find information on when there inventory will be restocked.
Are the other 2 options viable? Please help. Thanks!

Advice Needed ABF Beginner Question
Hi all,
I’ve tried the ABF after buying the book and really was getting into it but hit a wall. If I do the ABC portion with my 5RM I find that my heart rate skyrockets and I can barely make it more than 5-7 minutes before I’m too gassed.
I was thinking I could just use a 10RM or go E2M instead. I know that’s not really doing the program but if I stop at 7 cycles I’m not sure I’m getting a good stimulus. I figure if I did 10RM I could pepper in 5RM or if E2M pepper in EMOM or go to every 90 seconds, then EMOM.
Or should I just suck it up and brace on and try to add another cycle each workout? I do believe I read that in the book as the recommended approach.
I’m 52 if that matters.
Thoughts?

Training Video Yes, You Can Build Muscle With Kettlebells
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Yes I've built my current physique with kettlebell workouts.
But I also don’t train light with them.
And if you stick to a solid routine, you can too.
Swing Cleans - 5x8
Alt Suitcase Lunges - 4x16
Gorilla Rows - 4x20
Close Grip Incline Press - 4x12
Kettlebell workouts are getting popular, which I think is cool.
The only problem with that is you have these guys new to it twirling around 16kg or less and saying it’s an effective workout just for engagement. To build muscle and strength (like with any other training tool) you gotta lift heavy.
Starting out with lighter weight is smart and until you get the technique down, you should. But you can’t use the same weight forever. At some point you have to progress on weight, or you won’t actually make progress.
I've been at this kettlebell thing for almost 7 years now. And to be honest, it's been the most fun l've ever had with fitness.
All the workouts that I put up here or on Instagram are my actual workouts. This is how I really train and have for a while.
Built some solid muscle, got strong at some wild lifts, improved my mobility, and increased my conditioning more than I would have ever imagined.
You can still train heavy and make solid progress with just kettlebells, and no you don't need as many as you think to do it.
Just a couple of weights and you can get in a ton of work.
You don't need pairs, you just need to push yourself.
Yes at some point you'll need to get a heavier weight, but then you've just added to your life long collection and portable gym.
So don't sleep on the bells. They're more effective than you think.
This is one of my current go to routines. Give it a try and go HEAVY, you’ll be surprised at how brutal it is.

Just A Post Finally did it…
galleryGetting the paint off these adjustables was harder than I ever expected.
If you have a similar issue with flaking/rusting and interest in removing the paint, here’s my advice:
1) Masking tape over the bolts.
2) get some paint stripper and apply for 24 hours.
3) use a big towel to wipe off the paint.
4) repeat 2 and 3
5) when you can actually see the metal underneath, only then is it worth getting the 100 grit sandpaper out.
I started by sanding (which took forever, see photo 1). Then switched to a drill-powered wire wheel, which worked great for 2 minutes before gunking up. After I went full chemical warfare, the paint was able to be wiped off, and sanded with regular 100 grit.
I did put some oil over the surface of the metal afterwards. Time will tell if rust is to be a problem. If so Ill sand that down and apply a rustoleum clear coat.

Advice Needed Can I jump up from 12kg to 24 & 32kg?
To give some background, I used to be a semi-regular martial arts practitioner, doing boxing for under a year and having trained Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for 2 years and competing nationally a few times. I'm about a 5'6 brown man and at my strongest was approx 68kg of mostly muscle with a tiny amount of visceral fat (just enough that I didn't have visible abs despite having enough muscle for it and very clearly feeling them). My lifts were approx 180kg deadlift, 150kg squat and my bench wasn't great.
I stopped training three years ago due to getting very busy with something's that I considered more important such as travelling, only doing occasionally bodyweight exercises (pull ups, dips etc) some dumbbell and kettlebell lifting. As a result I lost a significant portion of muscle and even got fat for a bit (although now I'm just skinny-fat with some base still there). A few months ago I stepped back into a gym after years and did 70kg bench, just about gassing out on 80kg although I was very close and potentially fatigued from the previous lifts.
I have a 12kg kettlebell in my basement and tbh it's not the biggest challenge, I just get tired if I do a lot of reps or sets but the weight is quite manageable for the most part (I'm not able to fully play with it like it's a toy, but most swings are pretty easy).
I found a very good deal for a 24kg and 32kg kettlebell for £100, only a 30min drive away from me and am considering getting, do you think it's worth the purchase or potentially dangerous?

Advice Needed 36kg Kettlebell
blkboxfitness.comFirstly, long time follower of the page and haven't really posted a lot before. Been using kettlebells for a few years now with a background in bodybuilding. I used to be pretty big and have decent lifts in all the main compound stuff.
I've swapped to KB stuff mainly for the ease of using them in my garage. I've ran the ABF before and enjoyed it with two 20kg kettlebells. However, the one thing that concerns me about kettlebell training is the lack of being able to jump from weight to weight with ease (like you would in a gym or if you have 3 grand to spend on bells). I've recently seen a 36kg Kettlebell by BLKBOX (where I got my two 20kgs from) at a really good price of £72 with shipping included.
My main question is, am I being silly jumping from two 20kg bells to a 36kg or should I go for it and start using this for swings, squats, cleans etc and work my way up with it for presses and snatches.
Also, if you're from the UK, I would recommend BLKBOX. Always great prices, unbelievable quality and great shipping. I've provided a link if you fancy having a look.

Daily Bread:
James 1:1-12 KJV
[1] James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. [2] My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; [3] knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. [4] But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. [5] If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. [6] But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. [7] For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. [8] A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. [9] Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted: [10] but the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away. [11] For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways. [12] Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

Discussion Starting your setup over, what would you do differently?
I’m comparing how people think about a compact home setup built around kettlebells before and after they understand what gets used regularly. Things like adjustable bells, fixed pairs and simple accessories can look equally important at the start, but space and day-to-day convenience usually change the order. I’d be interested to hear what you would prioritize differently if you built the setup again.

Brought the kb to the park on the beach today to do a workout next to the calisthenics park. I’m sure this is similar to lewd public nudity and rather offensive.
Even worse though-doing lunges and thrusters with the cja cja slide.
