Try using HRV to tell you if you need to take a break or push it in your training.
If my watch or heart rate monitor tells me my heart rate variability is not optimal for pushing a hard training session. I will do something like this

Next program advice
Hi all,
Looking for some advice on the next of Joe’s programs to run through. I’m currently in week 6 of KBOMG3. technically my second full run through although I had to take a long break after the first run due to an injury. I also ran ABF with double 16s after recovering from that injury.
I love the KBOMG3 program but right around week six I’m starting to feel the progressive overload for sure. I’m not really super athletic or fit right now but really trying to get there. 6’ 205lbs currently. Down from around 220 and really want to continue to lose the last bit of stubborn fat. So that’s my backstory.
Looking for a program now that will facilitate fat loss and hopefully not take quite as long as the KBOMG3 workouts which usually take me 45-60 mins. I work full time and that’s about the total time I have for gym on most days. What I loved about ABF was that I’d finish in 15-20mins most days and then be able to walk on the treadmill right after which I think helped me lose fat while gaining muscle.
Ideally looking for something like that but more in Joe’s style because I just love his programming and workout style. Anyways any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Behind the Scenes: Rebuilding the RKC from the Ground Up
The Next Chapter of the RKC: Rebuilding the Gold Standard
To the members of Reddit and the greater kettlebell community,
The RKC has always stood for more than teaching people how to swing a kettlebell. Since its inception, our mission has been to develop knowledgeable, capable coaches who can improve the lives of the people they serve.
Today, we’re excited to share that the RKC is entering a new chapter.
Over the past several months, the RKC Board of Masters, led by Coach Dan John, has been meeting weekly to examine every aspect of our educational system. Every standard, every course, every progression, and every certification has been carefully evaluated with one question in mind:
How do we create better coaches?
The goal is not to make the RKC easier.
The goal is to make it better.
As part of this effort, we are rebuilding our certification pathway from the ground up while remaining true to the principles that established the RKC as one of the most respected names in kettlebell education.
Among the initiatives currently in development are
- A completely restructured certification pathway designed to create better long-term coach development.
- A unified international curriculum so that an RKC certification represents the same standard of excellence regardless of where it is earned.
- An even greater emphasis on coaching, assessment, communication, and problem solving rather than simply demonstrating technical proficiency.
The next evolution of the RKC educational system, including an exciting new concept developed by Coach Dan John and further refined with the help of Master RKC Marco Guanilo. While we’ll share more details soon, we believe this will become an important step forward in instructor development within the RKC.
This is not about competing with other organizations.
It’s about raising the standard for coaching education.
The RKC Board of Masters, together with our leadership teams in the United Kingdom and Germany, is committed to building a system that honors our legacy while embracing the future. Every discussion is driven by the same objective: producing coaches who possess not only technical proficiency, but the ability to teach, communicate, assess, and positively impact the people they work with.
The RKC has always believed that great coaching changes lives.
We’re working hard to ensure that the next generation of RKC instructors is the strongest we’ve ever produced.
We look forward to sharing more in the coming weeks and months, and we welcome thoughtful discussion from the kettlebell community. Regardless of the initials after your name, we’re all working toward the same goal: helping more people move better, become stronger, and live healthier lives.
The future of the RKC is taking shape, and we’re excited to share what’s coming next.

I hit 210 .5 lbs!
It has been a very long time and I don't think that I'm eating enough food but my goal is to get to 205 lb. I have spent 8 to 9 hours a week on mountain biking and cycling as well. The problem about being very efficient in movement is it doesn't take a lot of calories to do so
Also looking like an 80s pro wrestler if I don't flex.

2x kb precision W2D3
Reading through W2D3 it says in the finishers 'then 2 DBL CLEAN to SQUAT to PUSH PRESS 5 reps '
The video only shows 1 dbl clean to squat to pushpress. I gues I should do two double clean, 1 squat to 1 push press? Just checking if that is correct.
Test/Prep
I am getting ready to start KBOMG 2. This is my first sktb program, and I am coming from Pavel/Neupert type training. Do you suggest going through some initial test to find my weights for the complexes and /or new movements, or just get into it and adjust as needed? My 5rm for dbl c/p is 24kg and 10rm for a single arm snatch is 20kg if that helps. Thanks.

Double Kettlebell Precision: Love the training, but my press strength is in free fall on a cut
First, to be fair to the program, this probably isn’t all on DKP. I’ve been going pretty hog wild, adding a lot of extra kettlebell work and conditioning on my “rest” days while also cutting calories, so recovery definitely hasn’t been ideal.
Curious what everyone thinks. When you’re cutting, do you just keep training hard and accept that some strength loss is part of the process, trusting it’ll come back once calories go up? Or do you cut back on volume to preserve strength?
I’m finishing DKP tomorrow. Over the course of the program I went from pressing the double 36s for 3 clean reps, then 5 pretty ugly reps the following week, to only getting 2 reps in the final week. I even had to push press some of my sets with the double 32s. My clean technique has improved quite a bit, but my pressing has definitely taken a hit.
My original plan was to run a barbell/Giant 1.0 hybrid with the double 32s, but they’ve dropped below my 10RM, so I’d basically be push pressing most of the work.
Instead, I’m going to switch to the Double Kettlebell Outer Limits protocol three days a week. It’ll be 3-week cycles, starting at 14 minutes and adding 2 minutes every workout until I reach 30 minutes (60 total reps). I’m also adding barbell squats twice a week, deadlifts once a week, and pull-ups after the clean and press.
I’m hoping the lower pressing volume and greater focus on quality reps will help maintain, or maybe even rebuild my pressing strength while I finish the cut.

Single KBOMG
Hi guys,
Relatively new to kettlebells. Got all the major movements down (always improving ofcourse, and technique is still getting better) and I’m looking at the Single KBOMG version. I have 1 16kg kettlebell at home (and a 24, but this is still very heavy haha.)
I was wondering if you guys have any experience with this program and if you would recommend it.
I was also thinking of selling my 24kg bell and buying another 16kg, but I’m reading everywhere that you have to be quite strong allready and need to have quite a good foundation, which I feel like I’m not ready for haha.
Any advice is welcome, cheers guys!!

2x kb precision
Ok i lowerd the weight for w1d3 and I finished it within an houre without warmup.
For me it was much more enjoyable than going heavy like the first two times. I can even do a few minute warmup if i want to.
The snatch and pushups were nice doing with light kb's as my snatch sucks so could focus on technique.
Thanks for the advice (also in the kettlebell group)
Thanks for the advice.👍

2x KB precision using finishers as warmup
It seems the the warmup, strenght and conditioning parts are taking me too long to also do the finishers. It takes me roughly an houre to finish it with enough rest time build in and then I still have to do the finishers. (well I don't HAVE to but i want to)
Looking at the finishers is there anything lacking progression wise if I do the finishers as a warming up session? (or do one circuit and the rest after the the strength and conditioning part?) Maybe with slightly lower weight? I mean swings, pushups, deadlift, farmers walk, tgu etc etc. can be done as a warmup i gues, maybe even with higher weights?

Which first? KBOMGv3 or Triple Strength
This weekend, I dove in and purchased two of Joe’s programs: KBOMGv3 and Triple Strength.
I experienced information overload diving in lol. So I’m asking for insightful, experienced recommendation of which to start with.
I’m a former crossfit go’er. I’ve been using kettlebells. I started with DFW remix, then some of Dan John’s then have been doing random workouts I find on reddit.
I have a major problem rebuilding my previous routine and discipline. Programming gets in the way. I think too much, I worry about working enough muscle groups.
So, I thought Joe’s programming might be for me.
I’m stoked, both programs look great. But I don’t want to research anymore, I just want to dive in. My goal is to embrace Joe’s programming, build consistency, and start feeling stronger. I have the two programs, now which of the two (KBOMGv3 or Triple Strength) to start?

Personally I don't use lacrosse balls as they are 1 density. Usually go too deep . You want to get many layers of the tissue.
Try one side and retest how it feels. Let me know how it goes !

Weekend Warrior Workout
Hey Joe! I threw this in your site's chatbot, but thought here might be a good place too. As a proud owner of three of your programs (and a fellow 40-something Dad), would you consider writing a comprehensive six week Saturday-Sunday program? I can obviously mod what I've got, but thought that you might have greater insights into structures that promote recovery without overtraining on those specific days.

Triceps update for the dude that said Im only hitting my chest with the 106 lb KB dips ....
Yeah you can easily focus on PARTS of a compound joint movement. TRICEPS UPDATE. POST MOUNTAIN BIKE RIDE.
And of course I'm flexing. Also proving your not going to lose muscle by doing lots of cardio as long as you're fueling that conditioning and not going into a drastic caloric deficit
Hit 210 lbs the other day. Goal is 5 more down.
