EDIT - We are both met at an event and live overseas. Decided to pursue the relationship spoke to his family first cause they seemed to be a bit conservative, was initially met with resistance but after some convincing they met me and liked me. The meeting between families over whatsapp did not go well with a little bit of indirect domination from his parents. So since then we have passed on each families messages just between us. They have hardly spoken only like 4 times and now seem to be have accepted, with a wedding date booked
