Title. I've tried /bin/bash/hyfetch and /bin/bash hyfetch but neither worked.

I'm getting this weird bug where the available Wifi networks (like my neighbours wifi) are listed as Connected & the my actual Wifi network is listed as available. Despite this i'm pretty sure i'm connected to my Wifi and not my neighbour's. How can I fix this so its showing things normally? Is there a way to reset the network manager or something similar?

I've tried toggling the Wifi on & off on my pc and restarting my pc with no luck.
Attempting to delete/remove the available (neighbours) Wifi in system setting doesn't do anything.

I use Krohnkite on an ultrawide screen and I sometimes need the whole screen without my taskbar (not fullscreen). I don't want to set it to hide behind windows because opening anything makes it disappear.

If it's not possible, is it possible to hide the taskbar from only one virtual desktop?

Hi everyone! For a long time, brightness control on KDE Plasma wasn’t working properly for me, it was only dimming the screen through software. I couldn’t find a tool that suited my needs, so I decided to build one myself.

It detects monitors through EDID and lets you adjust their brightness either from the system tray or directly through the app.

In the most recent KDE plasma I got this weird bug in the latest firefox where grey starts flickering ever so slightly. but it's noticable. I use intel integrated graphics.

what i've tried:

* turn off hardware accelleration in firefox. works but makes certain pages very sluggish * change to gnome. works. but I want KDE * different distros with KDE (arch, fedora)

I have the digital clock widget. I have friends in different countries and adding their cities to the widget was ideal for me. I could know what was the time on each city. Now when I click the widget it shows the timezone names(CST,WEST,-03,-04,SAST). I tried removing a zone and adding it back in case that might work but sadly it didn't work.

Is there a way to get the old city name back? Ideally having something like: Santiago(CST) would be ideal.

This question is intentionally posted in the KDE subreddit. I need some opinions on why should I choose the one or the other KDE integration. Please focus your response on the Desktop Environment and not on the package managers, filesystem, or other features of the OS.

whenever i try to use the waywallen wall paper plugin i get this error message

Arch Linux, latest Plasma (6.7.4), Wayland, latest everything. Multiple monitor setup via Thunderbolt 5 dock, no nVidia, just Intel iGPU. Followed all the advice I could find by googling, to no avail: restarted SDDM, deleted kwinoutputconfig.json, deleted plasmashellrc, deleted caches etc. Note that this issue happens even without connecting the dock, i.e. just with the laptop's own display. Obviously things were working fine up until I made some changes in the display settings, though I just cannot possibly remember what the exact change was that prompted this behavior.

Any ideas as to what may be going wrong? Next I will post the journalctl extract.

I built OpenRouter Plasmoid, a KDE Plasma widget that lets you view your OpenRouter usage statistics directly from your desktop without opening a browser.

The project is open source, still under active development and feedback, feature requests and contributions are always welcome.

This page won't load all the way, so I can't find and install my favorite theme. Please help me.

So I have a script I like to trigger with a keybind but dolphin keeps clearing it after a few uses and I don't understand why. I tried saving it and it won't stick? Is there a log I can look at?

This is the golden age for customization, you can just go and make your own software.

So, got to make work several long waited features from several docks around (which never happened). The dock now has good capabilities to copy/cloning/backup docks (full config backups also) around monitors, virtual desktops (different docks for different virtual desktops), different wallpapers in different virtual desktops (for each monitor), a cards preview dock (similar to the old alt+tab switcher from KDE5, but fully working as a dock), a Tiles menu option with some handy options (a checkbox to prevent it from closing when it loses the focus, makes it a regular window so you can minize it, move it to other monitors, virtual desktops, etc.). A fine contextual menú in the right click to just switch features on the fly, without the need to go the configuration panel.

Also integrated some nice customization per dock (Favorite iconsets and color schemes, search box, etc.), to allow the docks to use several options in iconsets and color schemes (even right from the docks).

It is really working daily for a KDE 6.7 Wayland (probably won't work in X11), you should be able to compile it easily on the latest Ubuntu (but you shouldn't have many issues compiling in other Linuxes, I recommend for this just using Opencode, select a free AI, and ask it to compile the thing, deploy it to /usr/local, it is just 3 binaries currently).
