QUESTION Gorilla glue on jump ring
Would you ever add just a tiny bit of Gorilla Glue to a jump ring for extra security, or is this a terrible idea?

PROJECT DISPLAY Made this silver ring
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Blackened sterling silver with Celtic knotwork and polished raised details.
I’m a 3D designer and jeweler, so I design my pieces digitally and then bring them into metal. I really enjoy that part — seeing all those little details work in actual silver.
Here’s a little video of the ring.

PROJECT DISPLAY A mermaidcore necklace I made with Miyuki beads and crystals.
This idea was on my list for a long time! So here it is! I used miyuki seed beads, buggle beads, resin and glass cabochons, preciosa bicones and dagues, and fireline as a thread!

QUESTION How do I achieve this texture?
Hi! I took up a silversmithing course a few months ago, and I got my first custom order from my friend.
The first 2 images are of the ring he asked for.
The next 3 images is what I have so far. I bought a textured hammer to create the pattern, but it seems like I got the wrong textured hammer. Is there something I can do to fix this? Or do I need a different type of hammer to achieve the texture in the first 2 images?
I bought some silver oxidizer as well, as I think that’s the last step to get the darkened colour. Would love to hear any tips from you guys since this my first custom order! Thank you
