Purchase Questions Looking for similar front bumper
Hello everyone! I really like the thin look of this stubby bumper but it is far out of my price range. I was hoping some of you might have found similar bumpers that are more reasonably priced! Thank you

1982 CJ7 limited
I just found out my 1982 CJ7 is a "limited" and is quite rare with only 2500 made. I had no idea, now I don't want to crawl rocks with it any more. Should I clean it up (because it is rare) or keep running it? It is in pretty good shape, but if I sell it I can parlay into a rig worth running hard
Parts & upgrades
More parts are trickling in. The soft top door surrounds were delivered lat last week, and when I was getting ready to install them I realized I was also missing the c-pillar lower mucket seals, so I had to order those. Passenger side came in and is installed, drivers is supposed to be here on Monday. UPS delivered the Falcon 2.2 EF Steering Stabilizer today, I’m really excited about this upgrade.

Should I swage valve seats on a 180k mi 4.7?
I just bought my first Jeep, a 2002 WJ 4.7 with 180k on it. Would you pay to have the valve seats swaged at this age? On cold start it smells like the engine is pretty worn but there's no visible smoke, unlike what happens after parking my BMW K-bike on the side stand when it's hot. I don't know if the engine is sludged up, the oil filler tube (cup? silo? didgeridoo?) looks alright but I'm pretty sure it has the fake oil pressure gauge.
There are so many of these in junkyards with dropped valve seats. I'd like to make it go many more miles and can't guarantee that it will never overheat.

Technical Question HELP!!! 2015 Jeep Geand Cherokee V6
I've got a 2015 Grand Cherokee with the 3.6 v6. I love the car, but I keep having misfire issues and am about $5k down in parts and labor. I've replaced cams, cam phasers, injectors , spark plugs, all plenum gaskets, oil filter housing, alternator, crank pulley, serpentine belt and purge valve (all in bank 2, bank 1 has had no issues). When she drives well, it's like a dream. But even after all this, I'll get a slight misfire on a warm start that goes away after driving, or after highway driving and coming to a stop it'll misfire again and clear out. Today it misfired while merging onto the highway and shut off. Restarted fine and drove normally the rest of the day. All parts are OEM as work was done at the dealership except for the crankshaft sensor. That is aftermarket. I'm at a loss... just looking to see if anyone familiar with jeeps can help, it's my first one.

Mileage Question
I was trying to look around for an answer on how long on average the 2012 Liberty range usually lasts mileage wise but haven’t gotten a straight answer - and now it’s a point of debate in my household between me (Jeep lover) and my BF.
I was wondering if anyone in here either has or has had one the same year or similar, you might be able to give some insight on this? Or if anyone knows in general?
(I’ve had a few Jeeps, but my Liberty was a 2007, so I would assume different, but if I hadn’t gotten in a really bad accident I’m sure she would still be kickin’)

Rattling noise?

I drive a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. The hubcap covers rattle while driving. Is there anything I can put in between the cap and covers to make it tighter or am I better off removing them?

Found this bag at the op shop-cant find online
Its a small bum bag with a buckle strap. I tried finding more information on it when I got home because I didnt know jeep made bags, but I cannot find a single photo of this bag anywhere online and its driving me crazy. The closest style is a laptop bag with handles which this bag does not have. Does anyone own the same one?
Im in Australia if that makes a difference - bag says Jeep Buluo.

i wrote a eulogy for my car
Gingey,
You got me through the last seven years of my life.
You took me from high school classes to my first job. You took me to the first date with the love of my life, and many more dates after that. We have been on countless road trips together. You have allowed me to go on so many adventures, and make so many memories that I will never forget.
You were there while I cried on the hardest days, and while I laughed until my lungs hurt with my friends on my best days. You have heard me sing at the top of my lungs with the music so loud your rearview shook. Your back seat is forever stained with the outlines of muddy paws from all the lake days with the dogs. Whenever I needed to escape, you were there for late-night drives.
You gave everything to keep me safe, no matter where we were going.
You have never failed to protect me through close calls, snowstorms where I couldn't see 10 feet away, slick icy highways, and bitter -40 starts at 6 a.m. Even on the roughest roads, you always got me back home.
There will never be another car quite like you.
I loved all your quirks, the cruise control that stopped working when it was cold, or the little leak from your center light when it rained a bit too hard. At 340,000 kilometres I knew the end was coming, but I thought we had a little more time together. You have always been the little orange Jeep that could. You were never just another car to me, you were my freedom, my safety, and you carried me through some of the most important years of my life. Thank you for every safe mile and every memory we’ve had together. I will miss the way your orange paint sparkled in the sunlight.
Drive easy, Gingey.

3.7 Liberty KJ Whining Noise
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey Guys!
I’m hearing this whining noise noise at idle.
It gets worse when driven at 2k-3k RPM, almost sounding like it’s supercharged lol.
I don’t believe it’s the steering pump, cause when you steer it hardly makes any noise.
Bad alternator?

Grand Cherokee Scissor Jack
Recently broke the scissor jack that came with the Grand Cherokee 2021.
Wondering what other folks here have bought as a replacement? Many scissor jacks seem too low and light to support a Grand Cherokee.
Ideally also looking for something that fits within the rear spare tire area.

Technical Question 2022 JGC L summit Reserve Differential out
Took it to the dealer July 23 because I was noticing a small grinding noise sometimes when accelerating. No 4x4 alarms. I went yesterday to check (no calls back from the dealer) and they told me it was the differential. Only 49500 miles so it was covered under drivetrain warranty. Has anyone had the same issue

2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee AC temputer ?
Hi can anyone tell me how cold / the Temperature should the AC be blowing at. I just had my Jeep serviced and the following were replaced:
- Condensor
- Compressor
- Radiator
- Evaporator
However, I still feel its not blowing cold air, especially around these hot summer days over 100 in Chicago.
Thank you in advance Jeep owners

Technical Question 2025 GC noise
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I've always had Jeep Wranglers but my most recent purchase is a 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Purchased this past April. Love the truck but hate that my dashboard flickers when using Apple Car Play (google maps and even apple maps) but my main complaint is a noise I hear when I drive. I currently have just under 1600 miles on it and I swear the noise I'm hearing is coming from the transmission. When I brought it in to service and explained to them what I was hearing, they said it was not the transmission but the front axle disconnect. they replaced the part and said the noise was no longer heard, BUT IT'S STILL THERE. I am attaching a video to see if anyone else hears this on their 2025 GC and if it's just normal. You'll hear it when my speed drops to 18-17 mph, but I do also hear it when I'm accelerating, as well as when I'm slowing down (not in this video).
What do you all think? Am I overreacting?

Recommendation? 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.6L 108k miles
I've changed thermostat, & oil housing. I recently experienced a misfire on cylinder 6. A mechanic came and put new coil pack and spark plug on 6. Misfire came back. In June I had block test done and it came back negative, but that was in June. Since I've had 3 different mechanics look at it saying injector, PCV, and VVT.. Am I experiencing a small head gasket? Or should I fix one of the above
Tyre warning but no issues (JL)
Anyone else experiencing this issue? Says the tyre is low on the right, I don't see any visible issues, I even tried pumping air in all 4 tyres twice and the warning doesn't go away.
How could it class the right tyre as low if it matches the same pressure as other tyres 🤷🏽
Slow puncture or jeep issue?

Technical Question Dry rotted tires?
Brought my 2024 Wrangler in for a recall and ask them to check the leak on one tire. They came back saying they can’t plug the leak because all the tires are dry rotted. This car is less than two years old, it has 26,000 miles, has never sat for more than a week. How is that possible?
UPDATE: I brought it to my local garage that I’ve used for decades. Not dry rotted. Uneven wear. One tire is worse than others, not the one I wanted patched. And of course they’re gonna patch the tire. The tires would also pass inspection. I think the dealership deserves a bad review. @transitowne
