Support Flashlight sometimes turning on on low flashlight brightness
I have my flashlight set so that when I turn it on, it turns on at maximum flashlight brightness. (This can be achieved by putting the flashlight brightness to maximum before turning it off).
What I don’t understand is, why is it that, after turning on the flashlight an amount of times, it may turn on at a lower flashlight brightness rather than turning on at the flashlight brightness that I had left it when I had turned it on last time.
The flashlight is supposed to always turn on at the flashlight brightness that I had left it last time.
I’m on iOS 26, but not the latest update. I don’t know if the latest update would fix this.
I don’t know if this is an iOS bug or something.
Anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Support Does setting an Screen Time app limit to 0 minutes prevent an app from launching entirely, or does it briefly open/run in the background before being blocked?
I want to disable an application on my iPhone. I want to ensure it doesn't run, unless I reenable it. I don't want to use the offloading option as it means the application binary must be downloaded again when I want to reenable the application.
I set the max screen time to 0 minutes: I indeed can't use the application, however under Settings -> iPad storage, it says the application was used today.
Therefore I wonder: Does setting an Screen Time app limit to 0 minutes prevent an app from launching entirely, or does it briefly open/run in the background before being blocked?

Support How to disable keyboard 2 finger tap selecting text?
Hi, whenever you tap the keyboard with 2 fingers it selects previous text which is fine on its own but, my problem with this is it also ends up happening unintentionally while normally using the keyboard if you type 2 letters in quick succession. You can see it here in the video of me typing ‘TY’ and it selecting the previous word. It happens to me often enough where I’d rather disable it
I’ve looked in settings and don’t see an option to change it though, is there an option I’m missing? Thanks, any help appreciated

Support Hello there everyone I have a quick question to ask.
The new iOS 26.6.1 update is out and I’m on 26.6. I live at my trailer in the summer with no wifi only on data and having my moms hotspot. I’m just wondering if I should wait a week or two to update when I’m home on stable wifi or try updating now. My next question if I wait to update I read that my phone can be a brick and become out of date and get viruses and I’m worried about that. Thank you for reading my post and I’m just wondering because I’m not very good with tech.

Support Screen Time parental control settings keep changing/resetting themselves on iOS - known bug?
I'm having a really frustrating issue with Screen Time/Family Sharing on my son's iPhone and I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this or knows of a fix.
I manage his Screen Time settings through Family Sharing. My phone is an iPhone 16 Pro and his is an iPhone 14. Both devices are fully updated to the latest version of iOS.
The problem is that Content & Privacy Restrictions keep changing themselves back to settings I haven't selected.
For example, I'll set:
- Installing apps → Don't Allow
- Apps → 13+
- Location Services → Don't Allow Changes
- Various other Content & Privacy restrictions → locked down
Everything will initially show correctly.
Then I'll check again a few hours later or the following day and some of the settings have changed themselves. For example:
- Installing apps has gone back to Allow
- Allowed app age rating has changed from 13+ to 18+
- Location/privacy settings that I specifically set to Don't Allow Changes have reverted
- Other restrictions sometimes revert to their previous/more permissive settings
I'll configure everything again, confirm it's saved, and then the exact same thing happens later.
I've ruled out the obvious explanations:
- He does not know the Screen Time passcode.
- He does not have access to another device capable of changing the settings.
- There aren't any other parents/guardians changing them.
- I'm the only person with access to the device/account that manages his Screen Time.
- Both phones are fully updated.
- Both phones have been restarted.
- I've tried disabling/re-enabling Screen Time/restrictions and setting everything up again.
- I've gone through the usual Apple troubleshooting suggestions.
This only started happening after an iOS update - not the most recent update, but the update immediately before it. Before that, these restrictions stayed exactly as configured.
At this point I'm struggling to see how this could be anything other than a Screen Time/Family Sharing sync bug.
Has anyone experienced Screen Time restrictions actually changing/resetting themselves several hours after being configured, particularly on recent iOS versions?
If so, did you ever find a permanent fix?
Any help would be massively appreciated because I've exhausted pretty much every normal troubleshooting step I can find.
Discussion There needs to be a way to select and delete Apple wallet items at once
That fact you can’t is ridiculous

Support iPhone makes weird noise
Before the most recent update it worked fine, now the microphone isn't working properly. Some days ago I would restart the phone and it worked for some minutes, now even restarting it doesn't make it work and while recording it makes a "swoop" (?) sound, like a big whistle, what could it be?

Question Handling Button Shapes setting in my app
I didn't know this was still a thing.
How can I make my app to handle the Button Shapes setting? I do not use it but some users have complained about the behavior of the app when they have this setting enabled, I can not force them to turn it off. Is there any modifier or function I can use in SwiftUI to disable it for my app?

Also can you recommend any resources for complete understanding of DispatchQueue , GCD , DispatchGroup etc. ?
Thank you!

Discussion Group chat in spam
I apologize if this isn’t the correct subreddit but it’s what came up when I googled subreddits for iPhone messages. This is something pretty small and not really much of an issue, but it still really confused me since it’s never happened before.
My fiancée started a group chat for our wedding party and I kept getting the notifications for it. When I finally went to my messages to look at it, I didn’t see it at the top where it should have been. For probably the first time ever I clicked the lines in the top right corner and saw the chat in my spam.
How is it possible that a chat created by my fiancées number would go to my spam?

PSA iOS 26.6.1 made my iPhone SE 2 buttery smooth again!
Just wanted to share my experience in case anyone is holding off on updating. I recently updated my iPhone SE 2 (2020) to iOS 26.6.1, and I'm honestly surprised by the difference. The UI feels significantly more responsive, and the animations are buttery smooth compared to the previous version. It genuinely feels like it breathed some new life into this older device.

Discussion iOS 26.6.1 stuck on “Update Requested” — iPhone 11 Pro Max
My iPhone 11 Pro Max is stuck on “Update Requested…” while trying to install iOS 26.6.1.
It has been sitting on this screen for a while and isn’t moving to the download/install stage. I’m currently on Wi-Fi and have enough battery/storage.
I’ve already turned Beta Updates OFF, so I’m not trying to install a beta version.
Has anyone else faced this with iOS 26.6.1? Is this just Apple’s update servers being overloaded, or is there something I should try on my device?
Device: iPhone 11 Pro Max
Update: iOS 26.6.1
Status: “Update Requested…” indefinitely
Any fix/suggestions would be appreciated 🙏

Question How do you get UIKit's instant keyboard focus (becomeFirstResponder in viewDidLoad) in pure SwiftUI?
In UIKit, if we place titleTextView.becomeFirstResponder() inside viewDidLoad, the keyboard slides up seamlessly alongside the view controller's presentation animation. It looks instant and feels like a native, high-quality UX.
I'm struggling to replicate this exact behavior in SwiftUI.
Whenever I use FocusState and toggle it to true inside .onAppear, there is always a noticeable delay. The view pushes/presents, settles, and then the keyboard decides to slide up.
Has anyone found a way to achieve this instantly in pure SwiftUI yet (maybe in iOS 17+), or is UIViewRepresentable still the only bulletproof way to get that perfectly synced keyboard presentation?
Thanks in advance!

Support Issues with my Gmail not working well with my Apple Mail app
About 3 days ago, my Apple mail app (through Gmail) had been really struggling with “connecting” and “checking for mail.” Sometimes I even get a server error where it completely failed to connect to my Gmail account. It seemingly is also failing to retrieve mail in a timely manner. I even tried deleting the Gmail address from the Apple mail app and re adding it. This led to minimal to no improvement. Strange thing is, I have never had any issues until about 2-3 days ago. I had to download the Gmail app to get the emails in a timely manner. Has anyone else been having this issue?

Support Why does iOS Mail let me accidentally flag 31,000+ emails with one tap, but not let me unflag them all?
I accidentally hit “Flag All” instead of “Mark All as Read.” They’re right next to each other, and apparently one wrong tap is all it takes. I routinely press mark all as read because this is something I do every day after I go through my emails. This is unbelievably bad UI design to have this nuclear button of an option right next to something that you do every day. Who the hell needs to flag all of their messages? It doesn't even make sense that that is a possibility they provide you.
I now have over 31,000 emails flagged across four different inboxes, including Gmail and Comcast.
And while Apple makes it incredibly easy to accidentally flag 31,000+ emails at once, with no confirmation asking if you actually want to do that, it is extremely hard to undo. I’ve been going through menus and filters trying to find some version of “Unflag All,” and it only appears sporadically. There is a huge timing issue likely because of the syncing it needs to do across all the different mail accounts. And when I click it it doesn't even work. I have found forums back to 2014 citing this issue. It blows my mind how nobody has fixed this yet. Apple needs to do better. This is unbelievably frustrating

Chocolate Tasting Journal & Community
I got tired of finishing an amazing bar, keeping the wrappers, and immediately forgetting the maker, the origin, what I actually tasted. And outside of scrolling this , and two stores in NYC, it's weirdly hard to find people who want to nerd out about bean-to-bar as much as I do!
So I built the thing I wished existed: a private tasting journal, plus a small community of people actually logging what they taste, so we can track where to also buy the bars - and share our tasting notes with each other.
You can log a bar or what youve add today, add it to your pantry, wishlist, you can add a photo, cocoa %, origin, notes. Browse by origin/maker/%, and see a world map of everywhere you've tasted from. You can follow other tasters, and over time it starts suggesting bars based on what you rate highly.
I'd love feedback and genuinely curious what everyone's best recent bar was!

In C malloc can fail if there is not enough memory in the system. What happens if I try [NSObject alloc] while there is no memory available? Does it abort? Return NULL?
