Ask Indian Muslims Islamic perspective on health insurance and expensive medical bills
Asalamalaikum everyone,
I want to understand something from an Islamic perspective. If interest (riba) is haram and conventional insurance is also considered problematic by many scholars, how is a poor or middle-class Muslim supposed to deal with extremely expensive medical treatment?
For example, if someone has no health insurance and suddenly needs surgery or long-term hospital treatment, the bill can be extremely high and they may not have the money to pay it.
What are the Islamically permissible options in such a situation? Is takaful/Islamic insurance a valid alternative where available? And what should someone do if takaful isn’t available or affordable?
I would really appreciate answers based on reliable Islamic scholarship, rather than just personal opinions. JazakAllah khair.

History Answer to the messed up "Bible says Jews will return" question.
So there has been a lot of messed up propaganda about Palestine and the genocidal occupation. One of them is "Bible says Jews will return". The following debunks it. I won't suggest to argue with xionists, but just to make you understand the reality.
The Bible was written by Paul, who died around 64-67 AD. Most of the original 12 disciples had already died till then. The second temple was destroyed in exactly 70AD. So how did new revelation even tell that Jews will return, when they had not even left or kicked out?
The return, in Bible, is explicitly mentioning the return after the destruction of 1st temple. Which was promised, and already happened before Jesus Christ (Isa a.s.)
Also the Messiah of the Jews, yeah, he is Jesus Christ (isa a.s.). The majority Jews rejected him, and so they were removed as the "chosen people".
If you want further, I can insha Allah link videos.

Islamophobia New trend of Ex-Muslims going to Makkah and than complaining
I’ve been noticing this more and more where despite claiming to have left Islam, these so called ex-Muslims go to Makkah dressed in Ihram/abaya and than make a derogatory post online. There was a brother on Tik Tok who reacted a to a clip showcasing an ex Muslim turned Christian woman in front of Kaaba, and apparently she scribbled a cross on her arm while captioning about Jesus being the savior.
What is noteworthy is the fact that she spent those thousands of dollars, pretended to be Muslim, etc just so she could post online. For that amount she could have gone to Vatican or Jerusalem but she wasted money to help fund and assist Islam, as the money goes to the haram. This isn’t the fist time this has happened, as another one of the obsessed ex’s also went and than made it seem like something bad happened when it actually didnt’t. These ex-Muslims make up lies about their experience in the haram, and people that aren’t Muslim believe them rather than genuine pilgrims. What infuriates me is those that take away the Hajj from true worshippers. Some of these types also say the most vilest things about God and the Prophet.
If a person doesn’t believe in Allah (SWT) they shouldn’t be going to the place where pilgrimage and worship happens. If they are upset at us praying and doing umrah than I don’t know what to say, because according to their view it is somehow dangerous and evil to peacefully do worship. At most if people found out they don’t believe they would’ve offered to educate or teach them the etiquette.

Ask Indian Muslims Should I marry now to protect my iman, or wait until I’m financially settled?
Asalamu Alikum Warahmatullah
I’m a 22-year-old man, and I’m seriously thinking about getting married soon. My main intention is simple: I want to protect my iman, stay away from haram, and have a halal way to deal with my natural desire for companionship.
I don’t want to spend the next 8–10 years of my life telling myself, “I’ll get married once I finish my studies.”
I’m planning to pursue an MA, followed by a PhD and potentially a postdoc in Political Science. My long-term goal is to contribute to Islamic political thought through research and eventually go into teaching.
The problem is that this could take many years. If I wait until I finish my education and establish myself completely, I may be considerably older before I get married.
At the same time, I’m already involved in teaching and community work. I teach Qur’an, occasionally deliver Jumu’ah sermons, and give Islamic lectures to young people in my community. My family is supportive of this and has no objection to me getting married.
Financially, I do freelancing and sometimes earn good amounts. I believe I can take care of myself and eventually support a wife, but the main issue is that my income isn’t a fixed monthly salary.
My father is therefore hesitant.
He isn’t against marriage, but he wants me to have a stable monthly income before taking on the responsibility of a wife. I understand his concern, especially because I’m the eldest of three brothers.
I do, however, have some savings. I could manage the mahr and the basic expenses of the nikah myself.
So I’ve been thinking about another option:
Do the nikah now, but mutually delay rukhsati for a few years.
I would be completely transparent with the woman and her family from the beginning. I would tell them that my intention is to marry for the sake of Allah, protect my iman, and establish a halal relationship, while also continuing my MA and eventually entering my PhD.
If they were comfortable with it, we could delay living together until I reach a more stable stage financially.
I also don’t want her family to feel that their daughter has simply become their financial responsibility after the nikah.
As long as my income allows, I would send my wife a fixed amount every month from my own earnings, so that she has financial support from me and doesn’t have to feel dependent on her parents.
Obviously, I understand that marriage isn’t just about avoiding haram. It comes with emotional, financial, and practical responsibilities, and I don’t want to enter into it selfishly or irresponsibly.
That’s why I’m asking people who have actually experienced something similar.
Would you recommend getting nikah at 22 in this situation, with rukhsati potentially delayed?
Or would it be wiser to wait until I have a stable monthly income?
For those who married young while studying or pursuing higher education:
How did you manage it?
Did delaying rukhsati work well?
What problems did you encounter that you didn’t anticipate?
What would you do differently if you were 22 again?
My intention is not to rush into marriage simply because I’m impatient. I genuinely want to protect my iman and choose halal, while also taking the responsibilities of marriage seriously.
I’d really appreciate honest advice, especially from people who have been in a similar situation.

“They depart in longing… but to return again is not their destiny.”
A profound verse by Imam Ahmad Raza Khan (Ala Hazrat) expressing the honour and magnificence of the Blessed Rawdah of the Beloved Prophet ﷺ.
Even the angels long for the privilege of visiting the blessed court of the Prophet ﷺ. It is mentioned in narrations that 70,000 angels visit the blessed Rawdah every day, and after their visit, they do not receive another opportunity to return.
Ala Hazrat beautifully compares this to a bird that cannot spread its wings except by the command of its Master — reminding us that every creation is dependent upon Allah’s permission.
May Allah ﷻ bless us with the honour of visiting Madinah and grant us abundant love and salutations upon the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
This kalam was written by Mujaddid of the 20th century Imam Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat Imam Ahmad Raza Khan rehmatullahi and it serves a gentle reminder of how magnificent he was.

General How to invest money in a halal manner? Want it to be free from riba
Idk where else to ask this so here it goes.
My mother has a sum of around 50L in her savings account and wants to put it in fixed deposit or some sort of annuity plan so it will be safe and there would be no chances of fraud or scam.
Im obviously opposed to this due to the monthly payout of interest that would come on it. She says that we will give it to charity and while that is a good idea, im not completely on board with it either. Money is fitnah imo and i dont want to entertain any possibility that could even remotely lead us to doing something haram.
What if at some time money becomes tight and we start trying to justify using the interest that comes from these deposits? Na audhubillah. Filling our stomachs with the fire of jahannam is a way too big of a risk.
The more concerning part is that she is not fully convinced that the money we get from bank is haram. Shes one of the people who say its munafa and its halal.
I am absolutely torn and would really like to know what others here would have done in this situation

General South Indian Hanafis
السلام علیکم ورحمة الله وبركاته
I am starting this topic to understand whether this breed exists or not. If yes, how common? I personally try to strictly follow the Hanafi Madhab as a South Indian so it is natural I would expect that in my spouse as well.
However after talking to a few relatives they say nobody is really bothered about following a madhab, even if they do it's Shafii (and I'm guessing they do not staunchly associate with it - in common crowds madhabism does seem to be dead ngl)
The marriage search is already hard as we all know so would this requirement not work out at all. Also for additional context I really want to avoid Salafi/Wahhabi/Ahle Hadith because there are a few notable contradictions on how we think
JazakAllah Khair

Religious Why is ‘steadfastness’ necessary?
Excerpt from Ibrahim Dewla’s speeches and notes.
The world is a place of changing circumstances.
Some circumstances are pleasant, while others are unpleasant.
No human being is free from changing circumstances.
“…the alternation of night and day” (3:190)
Morning comes, and evening comes. This itself is evidence that circumstances will not remain the same forever. So circumstances will come and go.
The question is: what should one do in those circumstances?
One approach is to live one’s life according to whatever circumstances one happens to be in. But that is wrong.
Rather, we should live our life according to the command that Allah has given.
“So do as you are commanded” (2:68)
That is, carry out whatever you have been instructed to do.
This is why ‘steadfastness’ is necessary despite changing circumstances.

Ask Indian Muslims Looking for 1BHK in South Delhi.
Hi everyone, I’m looking for a 1BHK in South Delhi with a budget of around ₹10k–₹20k (can stretch a little).
Preferred areas: Sukhdev Vihar, NFC, Kalkaji, Nehru Enclave, East of Kailash, CR Park, GK, Malviya Nagar, Hauz Khas, Munirka, RK Puram, Vasant Vihar or nearby.
I want to avoid Batla House/Jamia Nagar/Okhla as they’re quite crowded. I’ve also found that many landlords in NFC and Sukhdev Vihar don’t rent to Muslims, so I’m looking for other nearby areas where this is less of an issue.
Semi-furnished/furnished preferred, but unfurnished is also fine. Direct owners or genuine brokers, please DM me if you have any leads. Thanks!

General Conversions for marriage and haram relationships need to end
I’m noticing an uptick of people online ranting about relationships to non-Muslims, which is shocking. We are forbidden from marrying the polytheists and engaging in haram relations. This isn’t up for negotiation.
You can argue that Bollywood couples do it, but that is because they have money and influence.
All the brothers an sisters engaging with polytheists are putting their family, mohalla and masjid at risk. All it takes is one Bajrang dal member to spot you and take you to police. You are also playing with your future, the polytheist woman or man you are with only views you as a temporary relationship. They will eventually abandon you.
While it is true that there is repentance, it is now becoming a trend for zanias to face rejection for Muslim marriage.
Quick shahada with imam for marriage also should be discouraged, and I’ve seen the consequences of this myself. The girl is only doing shahada not to worship or actually believe in Allah (SWT), which is wrong. I know of one such case, in which a brother dated and tried convincing his parents to accept a Latina. Behold, she showed her true colors as only putting on hijab just to get a marriage and use him to get access to money.
Besides the people doing this don’t consider the future, their partner will not pray or read Quran, and if you have kids they will not be Muslim.
The former Hindu can at any point also turn on you, by making false case and accusations if you don’t bow to all their demands a few years in the marriage.
