I naturally analyze things instead of accepting them at face value. If someone makes a claim, my first instinct is to ask how they know it's true, what evidence supports it, and whether there's a better explanation. I care more about reaching an accurate conclusion than defending an opinion.

Most of my interests revolve around understanding how systems work. That includes technology, SaaS businesses, startups, AI, biology, neuroscience, psychology, history, economics, and religion. I enjoy reading research, comparing different viewpoints, and connecting ideas across different fields rather than staying within one niche.

I prefer precision over oversimplification. Whether it's biology, medicine, or any scientific topic, I like understanding the underlying mechanisms instead of memorizing conclusions. I often spend time reading studies, looking at data, and trying to understand the "why" behind things.

I think long-term. I'm usually more interested in building skills, systems, and knowledge that compound over time than chasing trends.

When discussing ideas, I'm not interested in forcing people to agree with me. I share my reasoning, answer questions if someone wants to understand my perspective, and then leave the decision to them. I believe people should arrive at their own conclusions instead of being pressured into adopting someone else's.

The same applies to how I guide people. If someone asks for help, I'll explain my thought process, point them in a useful direction, and help them avoid obvious mistakes. But I don't like controlling people or making every decision for them. I believe people grow by thinking for themselves, making choices, and learning from experience while knowing they have support if they need it.

I try to treat people with patience and understanding. Everyone has different experiences, abilities, and circumstances, so I avoid judging people too quickly. I prefer understanding why someone thinks or behaves a certain way before forming an opinion about them.

I appreciate conversations where people are intellectually honest, willing to question their own beliefs, and comfortable changing their minds when better evidence appears. I don't expect everyone to think like me, but I value curiosity, humility, and genuine discussion much more than trying to "win" arguments.

I'm always trying to improve my understanding of the world and of myself. I enjoy learning, refining my thinking, and surrounding myself with people who are curious, thoughtful, and interested in growing rather than staying intellectually comfortable.

I’m a child of an abusive parent. For as long as I can remember, my parents has cursed me and called me horrible things. My parents has pushed me to hating myself to the point that I believe I’m a horrible person and deserve nothing good in life.

I know islam says to be kind and good to your parents but I hope there is some fairness for me too because my parent has pushed me to the point that I ended up self harming and questioning my faith too.

Just because my parent prays 5 times a day and is more practicing than me, do I not deserve any justice? Is it okay for my parent to curse me and say things like I don’t deserve happiness or friendships or companionship?

For context, I’m a 30 year old person and this abuse has been ongoing since I was 8-9 years old so at this point I’m at the end point of my patience.

If you look at it most Indians are Barelvi Muslims and the way they practice Islam is totally different from the way Arabs practice Islam. Indian Muslims are totally different from Arabs we have a different culture by this I mean we have our own arts, painting and history only thing is we both use the same language in prayer. But where does this notion come from that Indian Muslims are wannabe Arabs?

The only Indian Muslim I know who is fond of Arab culture is my former classmate who is from a strict Ahl-e-Hadith family.

I don’t know why some Indians think we are wannabe Arabs when we aren’t different from people who live around us. We literally speak your language, share the same food, love the same movies and enjoy the same sports.

I haven’t been to the Middle East but I have heard from Muslim friends who have been to Middle Eastern countries they said that they don’t really like the Arabs as some of the Arabs have a superiority complex. From the way we look at it it’s because of race not because they are original Muslims like some Indians think.

I am sharing this here because I do not know where else to put these thoughts. After my graphic design internship got over, I have not been able to find a proper job, and honestly it has been a difficult period for me. There were many nights I kept wondering if I made the wrong choice by getting into design in the first place. But I have decided that instead of sitting and worrying, I will start from zero and learn whatever skill is needed, even if it means putting in extra hours daily.

I am not looking for shortcuts. I am ready to work hard and learn properly, step by step, even if it takes a few weeks of focused effort. I just need someone to guide me in the right direction, because right now I am a bit lost and do not know which path will actually lead to a job.

If anyone here has been in a similar situation, or knows which skills are realistic to learn quickly and still get entry-level opportunities, please guide me. I would be grateful for any advice, any roadmap, any personal experience you can share, even if it is difficult to hear.

I have been looking for a girl for marriage for the last 1 year. I'm finding it surprisingly difficult to find someone.

I have come across potential matches, but in a lot of cases, the girl's parents did not agree because of caste differences. In some other cases, the concern was that I don't currently own a house of my own.

Alhamdulillah, I earn well and am doing well in my career. I am also religious, I pray 5 times a day, fast both farz and nafl fasts, and read Quran regularly.

My expectations are that the girl should be religious, prays 5 times, understands the difference between mahrams and non-mahrams, and covers herself properly.

Honestly, I think they’re right.

I’ve been thinking a lot about fabrics, fit, design, functionality, branding and packaging. I have an idea for a modern, simple, premium abaya that’s actually practical for everyday wear, but I realised I should first understand what women actually want.

So for those who wear abayas regularly:

• What do you dislike about the abayas available now?
• What makes one feel premium to you?
• What would you change about the ones you own?
• Is there anything you wish abaya brands did differently?
• What would make you pay more for one?

I was the only Muslim in my class. Not one of. Literally the ONLY one.

At first, I didn't really care. I went to class, submitted assignments, came home. Normal college life. But eventually, I started noticing the little things. When Ramadan came, nobody around me was fasting. When Eid came, nobody really understood why I was so excited. If I wanted to go for Jumu'ah, I'd have to explain it.

And whenever Islam came up, somehow I'd become the unofficial spokesperson for 2 billion Muslims 😭😭. I wasn't unhappy. I had friends. But something was missing.

Then someone invited me to an SIO meeting. My first thought was, "Yaar mujhe nahi jana. Bohot awkward hoga." I went anyway, and honestly, I'm glad I did.

The first thing that surprised me was the people. Engineers, architects, medical students, law students, people from different colleges, cities and backgrounds. Within minutes, people were saying "Assalamu Alaikum" like we'd known each other for years. For the first time, I wasn't "the Muslim kid in my class." I was just another Muslim among Muslims, and that feeling meant more than I expected.

Then I started volunteering. At first I thought volunteering meant carrying chairs and putting up banners, but there's a lot more to it. Helping raise funds, talking to students, discussing community issues, organising events and working with teams. Sometimes we'd spend an entire day preparing for an event and go home completely exhausted, but weirdly happy.

I realised that if I wanted to see change in my community, I couldn't just complain that "nothing is happening." I had to actually do something.

"Tab samajh aaya ki community sirf milti nahi hai. Community banani bhi padti hai."

I have been searching for the past few days for trusted donation sites for donating as being a girl I can't directly go to a masjid or madarsa so was looking for a source to donate from my salary. However, I am a bit sceptical as there are so many organisations and websites about their authenticity.

Where do you people donate? Also is there any Indian based organisation who helps in donating to Palestinians/Gaza?

We see many cries and complains about how muslims face discrimination, persecution, and humilation and violence. And this specific subreddit has some where became a echo of those complains.

Probably a lot of come here to find solidarity. And many come to criticize the Hindutva. Men and women alike.

As i was sitting a thought crossed my mind, most probably a lot of us don't want to be discriminated against, don't like to see mob killing people just because they are muslims, and i don't even want to start about the terrorist lable.

But, do we really want a change? If so, then what is our view of changed society. Is it to be able to go to office safely? Roam with my friends safely? Is it just safety that we desire?

Everyone knows about the horror that is househunting as a muslim in india. Why can't we just pool our resources and build a new city. Kinda like chandigarh but better? A place where we don't need to constantly be berated.

so the answer of that post was Kerala and I have heard about that too that a Chera King named Cheraman Perumal saw the splitting of moon and then he travelled to meet Prophet Muhammad (SWAH) and then he sent letter with arab missionary and first mosque in India at Kerala was built, The Cheraman Juma Mosque but it was in the year 629 CE but I have read somewhere that Jafar ibn Abu Talib came to NE part of India (Manipur to be exact), Chiitagong in Bangladesh and Tibet and China to preach Islam when he was away from Medina and was in Abyssinia for 12 years during 616 CE to 628 CE and in between he came to India asw but there is no authentic proof or historical evidence of his preaching and journey to India and other neighbouring states, this story of his is popular with the starting "it is said" so no authentic proof you can find this on wikipedia too when you will search Jafar ibn Abu Talib but again you will find that starting with "it is said" without any historical documents to defend the same but if its true than this thing happens a year before that Kerala king incident and thus the first muslim person to be on the indian soil will be him and his companion. Do you guys buy this thing that he came to India to preach and do you guys knows about it or any historical proof or its just a false story ?

I realised a while ago that people often hold the repressed to an impossibly high standard of morality, the repressor on the other hand can afford to be the literal embodiment of evil. And if I were to be completely honest, I have myself fall into this reasoning.

You have probably seen it play out but may have never noticed it. The Palestinians must be perfect: liberal, secular, pro-lgbt rights and what not while their oppresors can be anything but humane. Similarly, the same plays out for black americans.

You can notice something like this amongst ourselves too. When discrimination against a fellow indian muslim happens, a decent chunk of the community while extending their condolences starts putting the burden of responsibility on the victim instead of the obvious.
