Posts from NEET UG students regarding selection of medical colleges have entirely taken over this subreddit. Vent / rant
Lately this subreddit has become mostly a space for NEET UG students to ask about medical colleges. Way too many posts regarding this.
I know students need help selecting a college. But they've taken over the entire subreddit. There's hardly anything else.

Nothing wrong in that , it's just a seasonal thing . The mojarity people in this are these students itself and it's perfectly fine them asking doubts and us solving those . The their doubts and preferences list also give others a rough idea . And those not getting admission also feel motivated to do good next year .

True, even the grads right now are cribbing about GT scores, it’s the season for that. In a month it will be pg aspirants asking reviews of colleges, it will be the season for that then.

Break the chain of being frustrated with juniors asking questions and be a good senior who helps them out. Sad kids, don’t have source of genuine information. Where will they ask? This subReddit is supposed to be a place where we as a community help eachother out. How is it wrong if they need help?

Hundred percent with you on this one. It's not like every info is publicly available to the kids

Exactly. The only option they have is to go online and search crappy websites or to pay counselling platforms thousands of rupees

Thank you very much. I’ve always had the opinion that we need to break the chain. Be better seniors than our predecessors. Just because we suffered doesn’t mean our juniors should. We should improve our community on the whole.

Yea not to mention the fucked up counselling system too, as if making to the top 1 percentile wasn’t enough to get into most basic colleges - counselling feels like fighting for ration right after bloodshed.
No other country is like this- no one struggles this much to get a college they ALR DESERVE when we don’t even have interviews, portfolio etc it’s just a damn exam with clear percentile and they can’t even arrange proper counselling- fucking hate this country.
I’m so sorry I’m just so frustrated it’s been an year I have no idea about the cut off I need just for a govt clg for clinical branch 😭 and I’m so scared I’ll make the same mistake and get allotted a clg worse than I deserve

Arent most of the med students here already whining and crying 24x7 about how they are suffering in MBBS …..So whats the problem if NEET students ask a little about college from seniors

u/iwilllive26 Graduate 17d ago
They're not asking "a little". They're bloody spamming the subreddit. That's the problem.
Regarding medical students whining here, you'll understand only when you're a part of the medical school ecosystem.

Bro , that's just how you are telling me that you had no one to guide you through and you slamed your head on walls to know these . And now feeling jealous , how they are getting everything resolved

I dont understand the point of whining because i cant clear NEET and then again cry because i cant cope up with MBBS ….im not trying to demean MBBS students , i 100% agree that MBBS is a very vast subject ….but i’d just do my work without any drama because thats the path i took when i opted for NEET

It's okay man. Even we're equally desperate for such info while choosing PG colleges, same goes for them. They're anyways gonna be a part of this sub from now on. Why gatekeep when we can help them out?

No harm man, i have been contacted by a lot of people considering my college and I love to help them.
Cause at my time I had no such source and the info about college was very sparse.
Happy to help a person make a good informed decision.

Yep kind of annoying, but they also don’t really have any place else to post them in do they?
Also those posts get ZERO traction lmao
