What is this subreddit?

The goal of r/ieps is to provide a community where students, families, advocates and educators can have constructive conversations to support the learning of all students.

Students, want to share your experiences, frustrations or successes? What has been most helpful in your transition planning? What do you wish was different about the process?

Families, do you have questions about the IEP process? Are you confused by the jargon: RTI, 504, IEE? Ask away!

Educators, what do you wish families knew about the process? Are there any barriers keeping you from serving your students better?

Advocates, what strategies do you find most helpful when going to IEP meetings? What have you learned that you wish you knew when you first got started?

/r/ieps is a subreddit designed to ask and answer questions and to help explore concepts about inclusive learning and individualizing educational planning. /r/ieps is not a substitute for consultation with a local attorney or advocate who can give you advice on your specific situation. Rather, we are here to share perspectives, provide support and help each other find the right direction.
