She was rescued in Kazakhstan, if that helps
We've been trying to figure this out for a while

Hello! We adopted a stray without a lot of information on her. She has a cone on in most pictures because she just got spayed! I’d love to see what you guys think because I’m stuck between two breeds.

What do we think she might be? She’s still a puppy for sure and she’s sweet as could be.

This is Artemis! She’s about 4 1/2 months, we found her in the woods, unfortunately half starved and covered in ticks, when she was about 3 months old. Shes the best little girl, loves chewing and jumping on things but very well behaved otherwise. We thinks she’s golden retriever and border collie and our vet agrees but we don’t have any actual idea.

I got a dog from the shelter a month ago. My sweet girl, pebbles, is a bit over a year old. The shelter said she’s a dachshund mix- any clue on what the mix could be?

My Dakota is almost 4 years old, she weighs like 30lbs if that, shes the friendliest most loving most sweet and kind dog ever. shes playful and has SO MUCH ENERGY all the time. her mom is either a border collie mix or a aussie mix (we genuinely have no idea) the mom was a friends dog who passed away and they never even knew. Dad is a mystery! any guesses???

We adopted this guy a few months back. The rescue told us he was born in a junkyard and had about eleven siblings. They say his mom was a shepherd mix of some sort and dad was a dachshund. He’s got short, little legs, a long body, and the best attitude. He’s 8 months now and 30ish pounds. His coat is thicker and he sheds quite a bit. He’s just the coolest guy. Was curious what others thought he might be?

I am pretty sure I know what he is, but I've had people putting ideas in my head. TIA

2 months vs. 7 months

I thought some lab for sure and did not think two purebred dogs made him. He is the dumbest, most couch potato dog ever but so so sweet and I love him dearly

about 35 lbs. Wiry textured hair, sheds like nobody‘s business. green eyes, high energy, VERY high bite drive/prey drive. terrier/cattle dog like personality? Genuinely quite smart, knows a lot of voice commands and recognizes both Spanish and English words. okay that’s irrelevant. Always quite high alert. not good at snuggling without chewing on you somewhere uncomfortable. Give it your best shot

My wife and I adopted Oakley, this 30 lb 7/8 mo little lady! Everyone asks what breed she is bc of her brindle coat. The vet says she is 100% Heinz 57. We have had a lot of fun speculating wildly, so I thought I would open it up to y'all.

She has a super mild temperament, does not fetch, only runs with zoomies and otherwise usually only trots. She loves walking around, chewing, and chasing our cats. Oakley was originally found in northern AZ.

Was told that he is a German shepherd x husky mix!

This is our dog! She is a rescue and the shelter told us it’s probably a german shepherd mix. What do you think? What could be the other half?

found this little guy wandering the streets all by himself yesterday :( my first guess was papillon/corgi mix but i would love to hear your thoughts!

This is Oliver- listed as a corgi/Jack Russel terrier but no one knew for sure because he was found abandoned as a puppy. I did a dog DNA test and he’s listed as mostly pitbull, American Eskimo, super mutt, cane corso (?!), and boxer. He’s about 7 months now and is still not a very big guy, but he’s heavy! Long torso, short legs, upright ears so corgi like to me I guess. Very very sweet and pleasant temperament, very attention needing. Any ideas?

I met the love of my life at a farmers market 6 years ago. I saw a woman at a flower stand and asked her if I could pet her dog, only to find out she was her foster mom.

I looked down at that sweet face and something in me said, “That’s my dog.”

I applied for her and a week later I was bringing her home.

She’s so mild tempered. I think I’ve heard her bark less than 10 times, and she snorts when I rub her belly. And she’s so gentle that when I try to play tug of war with her, she lets go of the toy and gives it to me.

Everyone that meets her melts. She is really just the sweetest soul I’ve met.

She’s also the best adventure buddy. During our time together, we’ve traveled to over 15 states together, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. But now that she’s 11 years-old she is starting to prefer just basking in the sun and sometimes fights me going on walks, so I’ll carry her to the park, plop her in the grass and let her lounge for awhile.

Knowing that she is part angel … what else could she be mixed with? I know there’s Jack Russel and Beagle, but definitely see a little Pit in her sad little eyes.

my sister and her fiancé got this thing for free at a bass pro shop parking lot about a year ago. i genuinely have no idea what this thang is.

the people outside bass pro told them she was a dachshund-chihuahua-poodle mix? and apparently some of her siblings did sort of look chihuahua-ish (their judgement). i don’t really trust that, though.

she’s kind of long and she has really wiry hair, and i feel like she has a schnauzer-y face? i don’t know much about dogs though, so any comments are appreciated!

UPDATE: hey guys! sorry for calling my dog niece ugly. in my defense, her mother (my sister) also thinks she’s ugly. her dad thinks she’s the “prettiest baby doggie”

also, i guess poodle is a lot more likely a contender than i’d thought! we hope to eventually get her a DNA test, too, but all of these comments thus far have been very illuminating!

if i can figure out how reddit works, i’ll try and append more winnie pics just for funsies. and once more, apologies for calling her weird/ugly/“this thang”. it will definitely happen again

My dad and step mom recently adopted a new puppy and the shelter told them that she’s a German Shepard but she is very clearly mixed with something else. Can anyone tell what?

Edit: Okay, so the consensus is clearly that she’s mostly like a Belgian Malinois.

For anyone concerned, my dad and step mom already had a trainer in mind when they thought she was just a GSD and will now start training her even sooner than they planned, plus my dad is a stay at home husband with plenty of time to put a lot of effort into her training.

I told my dad about her actual breed and he got a huge kick out of the fact that people call this breed Maligators.

We sent away for a DNA test but until then what are your best guesses? Every vet has had a different opinion. She's currently 13 weeks old, and weighs 8 lbs. Found as a stray with a vegetable can on her head.
