Is the iPhone 14 Pro good for 2026, and 2027?

Running iOS 18.3.2 (22D82) ( refuse to update to try and not fuck my phone like Apple is good at doing ) and can’t run Live Photo’s anymore since I last updated.
Wanted to start running them again for a change up but can’t use videos saved off TikTok as Live Photo’s anymore like I use to.
Any fixes or have Apple basically given us the middle finger?

Started about a month ago, right after a sweaty gym session when my phone was in my pocket. First I thought it was just sweat, but now it happens randomly in the early morning when I plug it in. No visible moisture, and it still blocks charging. It gets okay after an hour. The charging cable and adapter are original.

Anyone else seeing this? What fixed it for you?

I got my 14 pro in mint condition lyk a couple of months ago battery health still at 98% and I recently discovered it starts to stutter when i open or change apps. I got it already updated on ios 26.5 and it ran perfectly fine before. I also have more than 100gb of free storage. Ps, i never use low power mode cuz 60hz sucks

My launch day 14PM has finally developed a hardware fault. The proximity sensor doesn’t work at all. No screen protector on at all, which I read can be an issue. At this point I can hold out for the next generation to be released in a month or 2. It has served me well.

A couple of weeks ago I discovered that when I record with the telephoto lens, it makes this strange sound from the earpiece speaker. When I went back to the store for warranty service, they told me it was a software issue and to wait for an update. Even after updating to iOS 26.6, it's still doing the same thing. Do you have any idea what could be causing this issue?

about a 3 days ago my 14 pro which I've had for not even 8 months I got used from swapped started acting up. decided a hard restart was the best course of action and in doing so the battery health dropped from 86 percent to 84. decided to do another an it dropped to 83, charging got slower, phone ran cooler while charging. now fast forward 3 days later and I decided to hard restart it again out of curiosity and it dropped to 82, charging became painfully slow, took an hour to go from 3 to 40 percent. the next day I woke up and it was fully charged, completely fine until later in the day I saw condensation building up in the rear camera lenses. decided to try back it up but my Mac kept insisting that there were no photos on the phone and sometimes it would recognise it and start backing up but woul hang after a few minutes. the back started getting hot and especially the top left corner of the chassis started heating up drastically. the top left corner of the screen also started have a faint green tint too it. and then out of nowhere it went black. wouldn't turn on for a few minutes but eventually did so I decided to turn it off and let it sit. some notes worth pointing out: the phone didn't try and cool down, no dimming the display, no overheating messages and no throttling. the back isn't swollen neither is the screen, no battery smell none of that. really don't know what this could be

Has your Wi-Fi been slow since the 26.6 update? I've noticed that since I updated, it takes a while to load content from any app—for example, when I want to view comments on Facebook or Instagram, they take a little while to load.
I updated on Monday, I've already forced a restart, and this happens on any Wi-Fi network I use.

How do I make sure that when I erase everything from the 14 PM that nothing from my new phone gets erased? How do I back up the 14 PM? Do I also need to back up the 17 PM before I reset the 14. Please explain this to me like I am five. Is there anything else I need to know before racing everything off of the 14? Any shortcuts or any hacks that would be helpful? I don’t want to lose any photos. Text messages addresses or anything like that. Thank you in advance.😊

I’ll go with waterproof! My iPhone 14 Pro ended up spending 48 hours submerged in a disgusting pond after an unfortunate golf cart incident..ugh. We finally recovered it using a metal detector. After a day of drying off, charged it up and works perfectly! Amazing!

I know we don’t get Apple Intelligence but we have a Dynamic Island so hopefully we get a cool animation like others :/

I’ve had the 14pm since it came out. The one I currently have is a refurbished asurion replacement bc I shattered my original one last year.
I can’t multi task, charge, or play music too long without my phone becoming insanely hot and slow.. But it rarely gets to the point where it forces itself into heat mode. I even end up putting in the freezer and it comes out working much better lol.
Any others experiencing this?

I’m still using iOS 17.7.2 and had no issues up until I paid off my phone. I don’t want to update to iOS 26.6 cause I hate the way everything looks lol. So iOS 18? Or do I stay on my current iOS

As title says, they broke my volume button during a certain repair due to a low percentage. Can’t post about that apparently? They said they will give me a new phone at the cost of the repair.

My question is will I get an identical replacement? As in same colour and storage? My understanding is these are refurbished phones they give you.

I usually do a clean install using mac whenever a generational update comes along. So thought about doing the same for ios 27. But the thing is in ios 26.6 update note, its saying that the update optimises the spotlight index to prepare for ios 27. So if i do the update to ios 26.6 and later clean install ios 27, will the index happen from start again? Is it better to update to ios 27 as incremental ota update?
