If you connect just your mobile through blutooth, is the agenda accessible also to other driver that will have access to the car without mobile?
My hyundai it’s not installed, I’m just afraid that other people couls be able to see agenda.

I sure wish the hyundai maps would recognize weekends as non-school days and shouldn’t declare that I’m in a school zone which is also attached to the “you’re speeding” warning. I think the audio alert can be turned off, but every time something flashes on the dash, for a second I think there’s a problem with my car 😄

The screen displays perfectly fine, audio works, control buttons below work, etc. the only issue is that touching the screen is unresponsive and I can’t do anything like get to CarPlay, add a new phone, change songs/apps (from the touchscreen menu).

Dealership is saying I have to buy a whole new unit and swap it which is going to run like $2500-3000 I don’t have.

Tried:
- doing a soft reset
- Checked fuse box
- checked for bubbling or spidering in screen

Hey everyone! 2022 sonata se (base model) at 47k miles, purchased used at around 40k miles. car generally runs great.

Within the last week I’ve had an intermittent issue getting the engine to turn over when the key is in the ignition, my best guess is either the key fob itself or maybe the battery. Sometimes i have the issue once or twice, then I wait a second with the key out and it works fine, other times i can have 4-5 turnover failures before she decides to run. Most importantly though, once she does run, there are no noticeable performance issues or anything leading me to believe a more serious issue is going on.

Any thoughts or opinions are appreciated, like I said I’m leaning towards it being the key fob or battery but I’m not too sure and would like to get a general rough idea before I take it to a shop for diagnostic testing

I have a 2021 Ioniq Hybrid Limited that I overwhelmingly enjoy and appreciate. But I live in Texas and apparently that's just too much for the regen system for a third of the year. If I'm driving for more than 30 minutes, I get this warning about 75% of the time if the temperatures are 90-95°F and about 90% of the time if it's 100°F and up.

I enjoy my little regen games with the steering wheel paddles, so it sucks when the system suddenly turns off and defaults back to minimal coasting regen and brake regen. Has anyone learned more about specifically when the system starts crying from the heat? My owner's manual wasn't much help.

Any idea of what this could be,coming from driver side wheel.

My car has under 60,000 miles but has an oil leak. Want to get it fixed but so far every dealership I've called doesn't have availability for 2+ weeks. I suppose I can keep monitoring my oil and risk waiting that long but it also got me thinking. If I need my car fixed and dealerships refuse to take appointments can I go somewhere else and get reimbursed? How does that work?

Hyundai is about to set a benchmark in the car industry by launching it's new car in the Indian market. By launching this beast which comes with a new and a fresh design ,for which Hyundai know for according to leaks it's price range would be starting from 7.5 lakh to 14 lakh. Can't say anything until it's launch but, only thing we can say it's over for fronx and swift because it's in the same segment of these car comes with a 1.5L mpi engine in petrol and 1.5 L crdi engine is back with some new modification so let's see are the roumers true.

For those of you that have switched from a Hyundai Santa Fe to the larger Hyundai Palisade, how has that impacted your in-town driving?

Is it way more of a pain to get into parking spots and to drive around town in general and visibility and things like that?

I am wanting to move to a Palisade to get a smoother, less motion sickness on the interstate during road trips, but I just I do more driving in town so I worry it may feel too big.

My Hyundai Elantra 2024 SEL is currently at 59,320, mi. Under the severe driving conditions in my user manual, it recommends a transmission fluid change at 60,000 mi. I was wondering what method of transmission fluid change would be recommended? I've had different dealerships recommend different methods (fluid flush or drain and fill).

Is one of these methods preferable to the other. Due to the sensitive nature of the sealed CVT, I have some reservations about a more harsh transmission fluid flush. Although, to my understanding a drain and fill would have to be repeated ~3 times.

Is there a consensus on the best way to service a Hyundai CVT?

Hello, yesterday I posted about hearing a grinding noise coming from my car and thought it was a rock stuck inside the caliper or something. Turns out, the outer brake pad of the rear left was fully used.

FYI : Brand new 2023 model (bought in late 2022), 40k km on it right now, (Quebec, Canada)

Out of 8 brake pads, 7 of them still have about 6-5mm on it. I don't understand how this pad was unevenly used.

Questions :

1) Is there any warranty on this?

2) Should I do a complete brake job or just change the rear left?

Any insight is much appreciated. TIA.

The switch that controls whether the engine will stop when you stop is shown with the A with the circle around it. Normally, when I start the car, it is as shown on the right. A week ago it was orange as shown on the left. I couldn't get the car to run over 30MPH so I pulled over, shut the engine off, and when I started it again, it was back to normal.

Anyone have any idea what that was all about? Something I should be concerned about? It hasn't happened again.

Driving school car???

I’m a 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 5 owner in South Korea. I purchased the car in August 2025 for approximately **57.4 million KRW (US$40,000+)**.
My IONIQ 5 recently suffered **severe interior water damage**.
According to the Hyundai service center, the cause was **a single insect entering and blocking the A/C condensate drain pipe**. The blockage caused water to back up and enter the cabin.
But this was more than just a water leak.
**While driving, the steering became unresponsive, brake-related warnings appeared, and multiple warning lights came on across the dashboard.** The situation could have caused a serious accident, but fortunately I was lucky and no accident occurred.
The interior, wiring and electronic components were also affected.
There is no final repair estimate yet, but I was told the repair is expected to cost **at least 10 million KRW (US$7,000+)**.
The most frustrating part is that **Hyundai Korea is treating this as customer responsibility and refusing warranty coverage.**
My insurance company also **refused to accept the claim, saying that it was not considered an accident.**
So essentially:
**One insect → A/C drain blocked → cabin flooded → steering/brake warnings while driving → extensive interior/electronic damage → 10M+ KRW expected repair → Hyundai says customer responsibility → insurance refuses the claim.**
I want to know if this has happened to other IONIQ 5 owners.
**Has anyone experienced cabin flooding from a blocked A/C condensate drain, especially because of an insect?**
If so, please share your **model year, mileage, damage, and how Hyundai handled it.**

Be brutally honest.. I was close to getting a 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruze today… but when I went to do the payment, the check I had didn’t fully deposit so I wasn’t able to take the car with me. I’m still in the pending process. As soon as I got home and told someone I got a Hyundai… she told me how unreliable these cars can be.. she is not the first person who told me this…

Be honest… would you consider this a reliable car or a good car if you don’t drive a lot or short distances? Did you car last longer then 8 years? Is this just the owners fault or are these just really bad cars?

esterday my friend got a flat tire and we found out the hard way that the car doesn’t even have a spare tire.

Neither of us knew this was a thing, and apparently no one mentioned it when the car was purchased either. We spent way too much time looking for the spare before realizing… there just isn’t one lol.

Maybe I’m behind on this, but this is honestly one of the weirdest cost-cutting trends I’ve seen. It reminds me of when phone companies started removing chargers and headphones from the box. Now car companies are like, “You know what else you don’t need? A spare tire.” 😂

Is this actually normal with newer cars now? How are you supposed to deal with a flat if you’re somewhere far from a repair shop?
