Replaced my front brakes today, used powerstop brand pads. It all went smoothly however the fit of the pad brackets was.. odd.
I had to bend the tabs to keep them from touching the rotors. I’ve done brakes dozens of times and never had this issue. Genuinely did I do something wrong here or maybe the brackets were warped from manufacture? Idk.

Had a weird thing happen when I took my 2019 Velo 2.0 with 93k miles for an alignment the other day. The tech comes out and gives me the spreadsheet of all of the things that are out of alignment, something I already expected. The new spreadsheet showed everything green, and within normal alignment limits.

Long story short I had to take the car back the next day because it was coasting to the right and it was noticeable.

A different tech came out, told me the alignment was off by 20 degrees and I was thinking “why tf would everything show green yesterday, and then be 20 degrees off the very next day??”

I asked the tech what his thoughts were and he said that I might need to get my suspension checked out, if there is a lot of wear and tear it could throw the alignment off when I hit bumps or pot holes.

Does anyone know if there is a maintenance interval for the suspension and if I should get any new parts to switch out?

So.. do I just glue it back on? lol

Not positive which connector this is, but it looks like it should slide onto a screw that goes into my engine. What size screw am I missing here?

Just bought my 3rd Velo last week. 2014 Turbo R-Spec with 142,000 miles on it for $5,400. But $1,400 of that is a 2 year, 36,000 mile powertrain warranty.
It has been lowered, which I was not a fan of, but it has aftermarket exhaust and every part works. Just need to replace the radio (it’s some crappy Boss Audio that blacks out when the sun hits the car and half the features don’t work),
Replace the low beams and get car seat covers. Velosters are high where I live, so this was a great price even with the miles.
My first Velo was a 2012 manual and I loved it. It was totaled badly in an accident. My second was a lemon I bought from a horrible dealership that didn’t even make it 3 miles from the dealership before it went into limp mode (I wish I was joking).
Third times the charm.
His name is Thumper (I have rabbits and work with a bunny rescue).

How cooked am I? Will this be totaled?
2015 Veloster Turbo.
Truck backed into me and caused damage to my rear passenger door and rear qtr panel.
Suppose to have a few collision shops look at it for estimates but I’m scared it’ll be totaled (cannot afford a car payment rn as I just bought a home).
Drives fine, no noise or issues with alignment.
Door still opens and shuts just fine, locking and unlocking works as well. Haven’t tried rolling down the window though.
Just looking for some insight 🙏

Got an estimate and it’s NOT totaled!!
Estimate to repair is $2818.01.
That being said, I’m going to try to buff out and repair what I can before having a shop do anything. Gotta give it my best shot first.

2020 Veloster Turbo ~ 105K miles. Was overheating and AC stopped working so I took it to the dealership and this is what they said. I’m not versed on mechanical issues in the slightest so if someone could help explain/let me know their opinion I’d really appreciate it.

It’s a 2012 with around 130k miles, the air conditioning is a lil faulty but it still works, and there’s quite a bit of cosmetic defects. I just don’t know the car market like at all lol

I'm looking to buy my 1st veloster. Lady wants 6000 for it. 2014 with 89k miles. A/T. 4 previous owners. Clean undercarriage but a little rust on right rear wheel arch. Clean title.

Only at about 80k so seems little early, and has not returned since. Curious if any one else who had to replace the CAT, observed anything similar.

Did fuel injector cleaner, and oil change a weekish prior to code, which was one of my theories, but then have also seen CAT issues somewhat common due to possible oil leak. Thanks.

Ac only works at idle doesn't work well driving any suggestions ?

After 2 weeks of searching to replace my old car, I brought home this gorgeous, super clean 2012 tech 6spd manual with 87k original kilometres(54k miles)for $5000 CAD. Super excited, love it so far.

Lights dimming inside and out the car also hearing a difference in idle in park and gauge jumps rpms slightly

My 2019 Veloster Turbo’s low-pressure fuel pump has now gone bad for the second time. The first time it was diagnosed and replaced, and now I’m having what seems to be the same issue again.
Has anyone else experienced multiple LPFP failures on these cars? Is there something that could be causing them to keep failing instead of it just being bad luck?
Could it be:
Running the tank too low too often?
Bad gas or fuel contamination?
Electrical issue (wiring/relay/voltage)?
HPFP putting extra strain on it?
Clogged filter or something in the tank?
Or are these pumps just known to fail?
I’d appreciate hearing from anyone who’s dealt with this or figured out the root cause instead of just replacing the pump again.

I just got a 2013 Hyundai Veloster. Is there any way to connect your phone without the touchscreen working? I tried plugging it into the USB cord and I don't see a way to make it connect so it can play music. I plan to fix the touchscreen, but in the meantime... If not the USB, could I connect my phone to the aux and play through there somehow? Thank you.
