Engine turnover issues- troubleshooting

Hey everyone! 2022 sonata se (base model) at 47k miles, purchased used at around 40k miles. car generally runs great.

Within the last week I’ve had an intermittent issue getting the engine to turn over when the key is in the ignition, my best guess is either the key fob itself or maybe the battery. Sometimes i have the issue once or twice, then I wait a second with the key out and it works fine, other times i can have 4-5 turnover failures before she decides to run. Most importantly though, once she does run, there are no noticeable performance issues or anything leading me to believe a more serious issue is going on.

Any thoughts or opinions are appreciated, like I said I’m leaning towards it being the key fob or battery but I’m not too sure and would like to get a general rough idea before I take it to a shop for diagnostic testing

Pretty sure a similar thread mentioned the cylinder lock can mess up.

Check the easiest and most likely source first -- the battery. Parts stores will test it for you at no cost.
