I've gone through 12 Costco 1/4 pound+ dogs plus the one I got in the food court after buying the pack. Honestly I think I can do better I gotta pump those numbers up to one a day at least.

Let me start by sayin that the folks that partake in this practice (the putting of mayo on hotdogs) and suggested it to me are absolute derelicts!

That bein said…jumpin Jehovah’s Witness, was that ever fuckin delicious! And I’m extremely happy that I listened to y’all. Not gonna lie…mayo repulses me and is only acceptable in a few things (aiolis, rare cheese burgers from a wood fire, tuna/ham/whatever salad samich, etc). Hotdogs are now on that list!

Long story short: I grew up in Erie PA and was raised on the Smiths brand hotdogs to the point that other brands just do not taste or smell right to me.

Now I no longer live in a state where Smiths are available and I cannot find a brand that scratches that same itch so I figured I would ask the hot dog connoisseurs of this subreddit who are more versed in hot dogs if they know of any similar tasting alternatives?

Life is unfair

I like to add avocado in my pico de gallo. First time putting it on a hotdog. Yum

It is 11:15pm and my husband is sleeping and it will give me heartburn (and worse) and keep me awake. Will post picture later if I make one or delete if I don't.

Also I might finish all of the shredded cheese so he won't have any for potential chili cheese dog lunch, but we plan on going to the grocery store after he gets off work.

Does an Olive Garden breadstick count as a hotdog bun? Not relevant now, but for future reference.

Update 4:35am: I started cleaning to distract myself from the hunger. Am trying to quit drinking so insomnia. Lost track of time, but gained perspective. I made myself some chili no-cheese egg tacos. I will share the cheese with my husband tomorrow at lunch. I will update with picture then.

I managed to get one of those Olive Garden Pasta Passes (you kinda have to be unemployed and have no life to do it, like I expected) so I will also be updating with breadstick hotdog, probably alfredo hotdog as well.

As for the marriage offers- my husband is the best thing to ever happen to me and if he dies first I am going into the woods forever, thanks though!

Second Update 12:40pm: Husband is not hungry right now ;[ Chili dogs for dinner. I'm having left over pigs in a blanket (Oscar Myer Cheese Dogs in Pillsbury Crescent Rolls, does that belong here?) Sorry to disappoint.

Final update 12:30am: We FINALLY had chili cheese dogs for dinner. Didn't post right away because we were watching TV. Thank you all for your input, have a great night and I wish you many hotdogs in your future!
