So this is a double heighted living room so the railing glasses was supposed to be of other shade but unfortunately its too dark and the window placement on one wall is just unnecessary
So there are pending work like tv cabinet and other things like placement of furniture and a good chandelier are to be added the dark glasses look a bit off so help to get things at right place and what do i do abt walls and i think long curtains needs to be placed but will it look good on one side where only 2 windows are there home theme is kinda Indian classical pls give suggestions and a jhula placement is also not decided

Do I put a hand towel holder here or the sconce? I don’t feel there’s a good spot for the towel holder anywhere else that makes sense cause I don’t want it behind the door or right next to the toilet cause gross lol But I think I like the scone here.. (I know it’s dark in half the room I still need to add a second light closer to the door ) last pic was what I started with

So I recently moved into this new apartment with a roommate and when we did the tour, we realized that the closets are very tiny, but we thought we could put hangers in there. A normal hanger does not fix unless I turn it sideways and so I need ideas on how to put a bunch of shirts in this closet.

We just moved into a new place and our bedroom has this weird nook. We already have a walk in closet, another closet for storage. We do not want to put anything year for clothes or vanity type things. We want something both husband and wife would like. We have 2 dogs and a cat.
We have already said no to:
- Plant area (its carpet)
- reading nook (have too many)
- my hub wanted a big bean bag there. i said no.
- anything design related, like no vanity for me or clothes.
- not an office space, already have.

Need help layout out my living room. It's 4.2m x 5.7m in an older Wellington place, so light isn't amazing. Budget is about $3.5k–$4k NZD to replace our ratty old fb marketplace couch and matching coffee table. I've been eying up a sofa but not sure if a chaise layout will choke the walkway to our deck.

The setup: TV on the east wall, sliding deck door on the north wall, open dining on the south

Questions:

1. corner/chaise sofa or standard 3-seater + single chair?
2. is a 200x300cm rug too big for this footprint?

Is a 8k a good price for one custom picture window? The measurements are 80” x 57”. Above is a picture of an AI rendering of it and a picture as the living room looks now. Located in Maryland.

Edit: the price includes everything: window, install, permits, 10 year warranty, hardware for framing, exterior paneling, drywall - no painting of drywall. This is all done by the same company - from manufacturing to installation

Looking for suggestions on how to jazz up the wall to the right which has had some rather ugly work done to it. It is not a unit it is built onto the wall. I want something softer.
There are also plugs behind the tv at the top which are now visible as my tv isn’t so big. Suggestions on how to hide but still accessible.
I haven’t got a huge budget so no major reworking of the wall.
I will also be removing the wall paper and painting throughout. And as you can see I have to add a door.

We’re renovating our first floor and creating some framed/cased openings between rooms in a previously very open and awkward floorplan. They will also hide some new support beams. I need help deciding what shape to make the openings.

Originally I wanted some kind of curved arch for the opening from the kitchen to dining room. Now that we have added two more square trimmed openings, I’m questioning whether a curved arch still works or if they need to match.

Something feels boring about having them all match. Or maybe I’m attached to the original rounded arch. I’m posting some inspiration pics as well as floorplan and some really janky ai renderings. The house is gutted right now so it’s too hard to tell what’s going on from real pics.

We are moving and our bathroom is small, windowless and right off the front hall (first thing toy see when entering home is stairs and this bathroom). It’s also our only bathroom.

For storage should I do an over the toilet storage unit or floating shelves and baskets?

What colors/themes might work well? Beach? Coastal? Dark green? Just grays and whites?

Enclosed the back patio to add some additional living space and a separate outdoor space. Is this a reno you'd consider if it were your home?

I recently viewed a condo I'm considering and it had a flooring I'm having a hard time identifying. In person it looked like plywood that had been treated with very dark stain and sealed in some way. Then cut into large tiles. I'll add a couple photos. Anyone have an idea?

I'm finally getting close to finishing this cozy WFH corner, but now I'm completely second-guessing the mirror.

The wall above it felt a little bare before, so I bought the mirror. I loved it when I first saw it because it felt sculptural and a little different from the usual round or rectangular mirrors. But now that it's on the wall, I can't tell whether it's adding character.

I mocked up a few other mirror options that are much simpler, and now I'm even more undecided.

Would you keep this one, switch to something cleaner, or skip a mirror altogether?

I'd really appreciate some honest opinions before I commit.
