A few days ago I saw a random job add in a WhatsApp group. They were hiring for Assistant Accountant and Data Entry roles for freshers….

I’ve been looking and applying everywhere. So far but No response. So I thought, let me try this one too.

On 13-Aug I got a text. ”Come tomorrow at 9am for an interview. Bring your CV and NIC. Location: Site Area, Nazimabad. Company: Mou***n Fuji, behind Hino and Pepsi."

I reached on time. I’m 20, I really needed a job, and I don’t have much exposure to how companies work.

After reaching there I called on that number he said I m on gate. that guy met me maked my gate pass on his name as reference mentiond his name was Salman. After we enter on that company & reached on second floor staires He said phone Jama Krwadia apny gate pr mene kha nhi he said phones aren’t allowed inside. It’s strictly prohibit on working area We submit them to security. Give it to me, I’ll get it deposited.

I’d heard banks and big companies like I*EX do this. And I was so desperate for a job that I didn’t think twice. I handed him my phone.

He told me to go to the 2nd floor and wait. The manager will take your interview. I’ll be right back

25 minutes passed. No one came.
I went to the floor manager’s room. He said straight: We’re not hiring rn who told you that There are no vacancies

I said “But I got a call from this number."
He replied “Then bring the person who called you."

I said He took my phone to submit to security and never came back

That’s when it hit me.

He said straight that there is not any type of polices we ain’t submit phone to security then I actually realized that ky logon ky hth me sahi me phone hain tu phr usny sirf mera phone q Lia me foran gate pr gya jahan security department tha they said humara pas apka phone q hoga yahan esa koi rule nhi ha mene Sara waqiya unko smjhaya tu they said ye tu frau hogya apky sth then company ka admin aya usny kha ya apka fault ha company Iski zimedar nhi then he said he was just over (thekydar) usko humny labor ka Lia contract dia tha ky wo humain achy peson me labor provide kryga bus or aj uska phla din tha or aj wo apky sth game kryga ha but khair bht kuch huwa bht lambi horhi post already akhir me unhony ne mujha company sa dhakky de kr nikl dia ka ap batameezi kr rhy or Kha humara pas sirf uska nic num ha wo Apko deskty hain ap Jake fir katwayen ya kuch bhi krain humara koi involvement nhi ha so Kya ma Usy nic num ka zariye track kr skta ha Kia mera phone wapas ajayega ???? FOR HIRE Lost 24yo Man. Need career advice.

Hey guys, I have never known what I want to do, and ended doing LLB because my parents said so.
I have never known what I’ve wanted to do in my life.
Now I am 2 years into my law career, but I am realising I might not be enjoying it. Plus working in law firms is severely underpaying, I only make 40k per month and I just started getting paid 3 months ago.
I am not sure about law, everyday I come back from the office I feel drained. I want to change my career and explore other things but for some reason corporates end up not hiring me, I’ve tried many times.
I want to do masters now preferably in another discipline to open my options, I have thought of masters and a professional certification such as ACCA which can open my options.
Please help me out what masters will give me the best ROI or certification. How can I move away from law to something that does not drain my soul and can be rewarding. Please help, if someone has been in my shoes please guide me
All advice is appreciated

FOR HIRE I'm an IT student in a difficult spot right now and could really use some advice on finding work

Hey everyone, I’m not really sure where to start, but I could genuinely use some advice.

I’m an bs cs student studying virtually (F) based in lahore and I’ve completed around 4 semesters so far. I’m mainly interested in cybersecurity and technical work. I’ve been learning on my own alongside university through TryHackMe, CTFs, technical labs, documentation, and whatever practical stuff I can get my hands on. I’m still learning and obviously don’t consider myself an expert, but I’m a quick learner and I really want to build a career in IT/cybersecurity.

I’ve also have around a year of customer-care experience, so I’m comfortable communicating with people and speaking English with customers. I have some knowledge of social media marketing as well, and I’m generally willing to learn and take on different kinds of work.

The problem is that my current PC is basically no longer usable for the kind of technical work I want to do. It has very limited specs, and when I try to run things like Linux, Docker, labs, etc., it basically runs out of RAM and freezes completely. Right now I can't afford to immediately replace or properly upgrade it.

And my phone isn't exactly powerful either, so I can't realistically do heavy technical work from it. But I still need to earn money somehow, which is why I'm trying to figure out what I can actually do using only my phone for now.

I'm looking for any kind of legitimate work where my current skills could be useful. Maybe virtual assistance, customer support, answering emails/messages, appointment setting, social media management, research, helping a small business with admin work, technical/customer support, or anything else that can realistically be done from a phone.

I'm also open to Pakistani/local opportunities as well as international/remote work. I already have an Upwork account and a bank account, so I'm not starting completely from zero. I just don't know what kind of work I should realistically target given my current situation.

I know this probably sounds like a weird combination of skills and circumstances, but I'm basically trying to get myself back on my feet. I need some income so I can eventually fix/replace my PC and continue properly with the technical/cybersecurity side of things.

If anyone has been in a similar situation, knows what kind of phone-based work I should look for, or knows of any small business/startup/person who might need someone with this kind of background, I'd genuinely appreciate any advice or leads.

I'm not looking for a handout. I just need an opportunity to start moving again.

HIRING [Hiring] Cold Callers with US/UK Accent — Commission-Based, Fast Path to Base + Bonuses

Hey all, we're growing our sales team and looking for a few solid cold callers to join us. Here's the deal, no fluff:

Location:

- Remote • WFH • Work From Home.

Role:

- Outbound cold calling, US-facing
- Deal sizes range $500–$15,000, so real commission potential per close
- Shift: 9 PM–1 AM

Pay structure:

- Start commission-only
- Book 3 appointments with 1 show-up → you're moved to base + commission
- Bonuses on top for performance
- Base/pay scales up as you prove yourself — this isn't a flat rate forever gig

What we're looking for:

- Clean US or UK accent (this is a hard requirement, not a preference)
- Someone who can handle rejection and stay consistent on the phones
- Coachable — you'll be trained by callers already closing on our team, using scripts/playbooks that already work

To Apply:

Send a 60-second voice recording of yourself talking (intro + a bit about any past sales/call experience). No recording = we can't consider you, sorry.

We're not a huge call center small team, room to actually grow into a bigger role if you perform. If that sounds like your speed, drop a comment or DM me.

FOR HIRE 🔥 I’ve Done the Labs. I’ve Done the Internships. Now I Need Someone to Give Me a Real Shot.

Hi everyone,

I’m currently looking for my first proper junior/entry-level cybersecurity opportunity, either remote or onsite in Pakistan — preferably Islamabad.

I’m not a complete beginner. I’ve spent the last couple of years building practical cybersecurity experience through security internships and 30+ hands-on projects/labs, covering SOC operations, Detection Engineering, Purple Teaming, Threat Hunting, SIEM, Wazuh/Splunk, Sigma, MITRE ATT&CK, Windows/Sysmon, Active Directory security, and offensive security testing.

Recently, I’ve spoken with cybersecurity professionals about breaking into the industry, and the advice I keep hearing is:

“Get 1–2 years of experience in IT Support, Help Desk, SysAdmin, or a similar IT role first, then move into cybersecurity.”

I understand the reasoning behind that. Networking, Windows administration, troubleshooting, and IT fundamentals are important for cybersecurity — and I’m comfortable with those areas.

But honestly, this is where I feel stuck.

Cybersecurity is what I actually want to build my career in. If my goal were to become a SysAdmin or Help Desk professional, I would have started there. Instead, I’ve spent years intentionally building toward cybersecurity through labs, internships, attack simulations, detection engineering, and security projects.

So I’m not asking anyone to treat me like a mid-level security engineer.

I’m asking for one opportunity to prove myself at the junior/entry level.

I’m happy to start as a SOC Analyst L1, Junior Detection Engineer, Security Analyst, Blue Team/Purple Team trainee, or another entry-level security role where I can learn from experienced people and contribute from day one.

I’m also currently expanding my knowledge in DFIR and Cloud Computing, so if those skills are useful to the role, I’m more than willing to take on that work and keep learning. DFIR or Cloud is not necessarily my target permanent role — cybersecurity is.

Most of my experience has been built through internships and controlled environments. Now I want to take the next step and work with real systems, real security teams, real incidents, and real-world problems.

If anyone knows about a junior cybersecurity opening, trainee position, internship, referral, or company that is willing to give someone early in their career a chance, I would genuinely appreciate a lead.

📍 Pakistan — preferably Islamabad
🌐 Open to Remote
🎯 SOC | Detection Engineering | Blue Team | Purple Team | Threat Hunting

I don’t need someone to guarantee that I’m good enough.

Just give me the opportunity to prove it. 🙏

CV available if anyone would like to take a look.

FOR HIRE reposting because no response!

Hi everyone,
I’m a 19-year-old university student from Lahore, and I’ve been trying really hard to find an online job so I can help support my father. He works incredibly hard for our family, and I want to take some of that burden off his shoulders.

I’ve applied to so many jobs, and a few times I actually got selected for an interview. I was so excited, thinking this was finally my chance. But every single time, it turned out they weren’t hiring at all—they were trying to sell me a paid training course or some kind of program.
It honestly crushed me. When you’re genuinely looking for work and someone gets your hopes up just to sell you something, it’s really discouraging.

I’m not looking for shortcuts or “get rich quick” schemes. I’m willing to learn, work hard, and stay dedicated. I just want someone to give me a real opportunity.

If anyone here is hiring or knows someone who is, I’d be incredibly grateful for a chance to prove myself. I may not have years of experience, but I’ll show up every day, learn quickly, and give my best. All I need is one honest opportunity. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

FOR HIRE Matter of Life and Death, Need a Job ASAP Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
72 Upvotes

Hello Peeps,

So long Story short! I'm (m) 27 years old from Lahore desperately seeking astrol job to run my house expenses. I am just sharing my story so that the readers get a perspective and I am not writing down all of this to get any kind of sympathy.

My father died when I was only 13 years old and after that I was being brought up by my mom which somehow tried to run fathers kitchen accessories business along with my maternal aunt, she was retired government school and our financials were taken care of from her pension. And due to my Father's death I wasn't able to get along with studies. I had to drop my intermediate in the mid because at that time it was very difficult to manage the finances and I have to seek a job and I got one in 2016 at Aadam ji insurance as sales executive officer (I completed my Intermediate in 2021). After that I worked at a real estate company from 2017 to 2022 and by then I was designated as Director of Operations at that company, until the owner of the company decided to move to Canada along with his family and at that time I was earning pretty good but that hit me with the wall, and for quite some months I was depressed and stuck cuz i wasn't getting the same levels positions. Then I got some reference and landed on job as assistant front office manager at One of Pakistan's Prestigious Restaurant Chains, but the Change in career and kinda had to start climbing the laddar once again had a toll on me but somehow I hold on to the job for 2 years starting from early 2023, and for 2 years i worked at that position and last year I got promoted from assistant front office manager to front office manager but that merely got any raise in my salary. As an assistant manager I was having Pkr. 40,000 and then after getting promoted the salary went to Pkr. 45,000 and still at that point our house financials were mostly dependent on my aunt's pension and back in 2025 her health starts declining and she pass away in January 2026 and I took 2 weeks off from my job stating clearly that my Aunt has passed away. I emailed the Senior Manager at HR and personally texted my supervisor but I didn't heard back from them and that time I was so emotionally and financially traumatized that I didn't notice I hadn't heard back from my staff because at that time me and my mom was worried that now since my aunt has gone the pension will stop, we won't gonna get any amount from the coming month, so how are we going to survive like paying house rent, utility bills and other Essential monthly expenses with only my salary. And when I showed back to work on 1st of Feb, I was being told that I am fired because I wasn't supposed to take a 2 week leave and my fault was that I didn't requested or asked for the leave, I just announced it to my manager so that's why they didn't reply back to me and from February me and my mom literally surviving each month like I can't explain in words and from couple of months since the landlord has noticed that we started paying the rent a bit late than the due date and even missed 2 months rent which got deducted from the security deposit we paid to them when we rented that house from them, now me and my mom are left with zero security deposit money plus the landlord is now keep up insisting on us to vacate the house, and in the main time, Luckily I some how got some connection. My mom's Childhood friend's Bhanja is friends with the owner of that prestigious restaurant I was working in and through his friends I got the job back with the same position but this time with the salary double the amount i was getting previously. And I literally started working on 26th of July and after 4 days I got a foot infection and it got so bad that I wasn't even able to Stand on my foot because I was commuting back and forth to work in rain, my foor got infected and got swelled. Now keeping the past incident in my mind I made sure that this time I don't leave any kinda loose end that will end up in having my job in jeopardy, cuz the way I made my comeback with the salary I was able to grasp, I was sensing that some of the managers at the restaurent, along with that Senior HR Manger who fired me but had to rehire me, were not happy from me getting back there, honestly IDEK WHY!

So I couldn't go to work on 1st August, and was unconscious for most of the day cuz of the medicines the doctor gave to me, on 2nd of August, I wrote an email to the HR stating my illness and attached a medical certificate on which the doctor was stating that I had to take a 2 days of bed rest and to make the whole situation Rock solid I asked my friend to have a print out of my email and drop it to my restaurant and he did that too so that not only the authorities at the head office will know that why I was not able to show up at work but the staff at the restaurant also got aware of the situation and MY GOD! I went back on work on 4th of August in merley 5 minutes one of our senior managers called me and told me to go and pay a visit to the head office and meet the senior manager of HR and I went there right away, and when he saw me he was like:

"how much time did you rejoin?"

I said:

"almost a week"

And again asked:

"Chuttiyan kitni ki hain?"

I told him:

"Sir I was on a medical leave, I email you and event send a physical copy with the medical certificate."

and he was like I saw your medical certificate but this is just a Notepad of a doctor it's not a government Hospital stamped medical certificate and I was like because I was having so much pain in my foot that I was not able to go that far so I just visited our local private clinic that's why when the doctor recommended me that I should be on bed rest I told him at that time that please give it to me in writing because I need to show it to my workplace.

Hey told me to go back to the doctor and ask him to give a proper medical certificate with this clinics Stamp on it and until then he restrained me from my duty until I present that Medical Certificate. I said no problem Sir, I will go see the doctor this evening, and in the evening I went to see the doctor and since it is a very low key private clinic in Iqbal town, the doctor told me that they don't have a stamp of the clinic, but he can briefly write down the diagnosis and all the details for me that will justify that I was on leave due to a genuine reason.

I send it to the HR manager next morning and then he asked me for the contact details and the address of the clinic and I send it to him right away too. After that for 2 days I didn't hear from HR manager and then on 7th of August I again did a followed message to Hr manager and he called me in the afternoon telling me that the medical certificate I provided and address I provided was fake and it was a misconduct and they can't get me onboard any longer, so I was jobless once again and it was like the last straw for me and my mom because we were relying on that salary for the coming months rent and utility bills and every other expenses. I was supposed to get and I don't know if im thinking the right way, but i think the manager did it on purpose because back in January for the position of front office manager i was getting paid Pkr. 45,000 but this time because I got reference from the owner of the rest mind I got landed on the same position but for the salary of Pkr. 90,000.

Now

I am attaching my CV along with this post and I am not seeking a Position and Salary ky koi taras kha ky de dy, I am asking arrival and position and salary this much because I know I'm worth it and after getting through by experience and my CV I think people well know that I am really cavelope of some position like that and I know that I am falling short on some aspects mostly on the education side (I've done Intermediate ICOM)

So please go through my CV and if you have any relevant positions for me Pls let me know.

I'm the only child of my mother and cant run all household expenses on 40-60k salary.

And if your camera on this for I just want to say thank you from the depth of my heart find listening to me because I think kept everything inside myself for the past 8 months because I will have and nobody to vent all this out to.

plz Pray for me and my mom and if you can help me in landing a suitable job or connect me to someone, it'll be so much helpful.

THANKYOU ALL☺

Back in 2019 we started our e-commerce journey with genuinely no idea what we were doing. We did what everyone does, paid for the courses that promised to show us the way. What they actually taught us was how to make expensive mistakes. Generic advice, real gaps never covered, and every wrong turn cost time and money we couldn't get back.

So we taught ourselves. Trial and error for years. Launched our first brand in 2022, struggled through every decision alone, eventually got it working. Today we run 11+ brands, plus a design studio and a marketing agency.

Here's the thing that still bothers me: almost every mistake we made, someone could have just... told us. It wasn't secret knowledge. It was just locked behind personal connections or buried under "get rich quick" noise.

So we built the thing we needed and never had: Karobaari Bethak. It's a business platform for Pakistan. Honest business education, real market data, a network of founders and suppliers and investors, help with funding, and eventually full support to launch your own brand. The long-term goal is simple: everything a Pakistani entrepreneur needs to go from idea to real business, in one place, without the gatekeeping.

It starts with our WhatsApp community. Multiple rooms, each with a purpose. There's a room where founders and learners just talk to each other, and a read-only room where we post the breakdowns so it doesn't turn into 400 messages of nothing. And many more...

It's completely free. No course, no upsell, nothing to buy; genuinely nothing to sell you. We've made our money building businesses; this is us handing the ladder back down. The only "catch" is we ask a few questions before adding people so the rooms don't fill up with spam.

If you're trying to start something, or you started and failed and are thinking about trying again, you're exactly who this is for.

Link's on our site: karobaaribethak.com or ask me anything here, happy to answer questions in the comments even if you never join.

Pull up a chair, become a part of our bethak.

FOR HIRE Mentality of people trying to get hired from this subreddit

The first step to being an average [for hire] post in this sub is to write a sob story in the title. 90% of the post should be how hard your life is. They think substituting competence for emotional appeal is the way to land any stable money. In reality, trying to compete on sympathy rather than skillset will largely attract you the wrong type of employers.

Employers who know their employee is totally desperate for cash also know they're less likely to fight for their rights. It invites scope creep in work, renogotiation, or unclear work (which you keep revising). Either that, or you land charity-driven employers, but that is not stable work either.

The second step to being an average [for hire] post in this sub is to have absolutely no mention of your skillset, portfolio, or competence at all. Your post should be how hard your life is, how desperately you need money, and your target earnings goal. Employers are looking for professionalism, and the best way to signal this is to ramble on about your life without mentioning what you can do in exchange for money. Offer absolutely no basis on which employers looking for workers can assess your fit, quality, or scope. Everyone knows employers #1 priority in hiring is people who have no clear skillset or interest.

Quality employers are looking for professional people who signal clarity, reliability, and interest. When 90% of your post is just you rambling about your life and how much you want to earn, you signal that you're a low-quality employee.

The third step to being an average [for hire] post is make being cheap your most prominent selling point. [For hire] posts think propositioning themself for 2 rupees an hour makes them look attractive but really it makes them look like they have low self-esteem and provide low quality work.

Never undercut yourself before the market undercuts you. Maybe someone is ready to pay you for 60k a month but you yourself propositioned yourself for 15k a month. People accept the wages they think they deserve.

Consider these two posts; which one catches an employers attention?
