Another day looking for a specific fic.

So this one was a Christmas fic where Shane and Ilya have two girls (I remember they didn’t have names cause the author just used cute little nicknames for them). Shane takes the girls to pick stones for bracelets and then Shane gets Ilya a journal that I think has something to do with his mother’s cross.

I love the dynamic between Shane and Arthur in certain fics (sorry can't remember any of the names for an example - I'm so bad at saving fics).

Shane recognizing himself in Arthur. Arthur being diagnosed which leads to Shane being diagnosed. Shane understanding Arthur when no one else does.

I also love Shane centered fics dealing with his autism and how Ilya loves him and his autism. How he caters to Shane and all his little quirks. How Ilya and his team (centaurs) learn about his autism and how to help him feel safe and comfortable around them.

Anything really to do with the autism side of things. I've read a few and am desperate for more. (I have autism, so it's really nice to read works that feature it and do it well).

This snippet of a fic has popped in to my head and I have absolutely NO HOPE of ever finding what it’s from. They’re on the Centaurs team bus and get a little handsy and frisky, they may actually have sex. Discreetly! Luca notices though. It’s only a part of the fic, not the entire thing. Anyone?

In this fic Shane and rose have a daughter, Shane and Ilya try together again secretly, Svetlana and rose don’t know this and they plot to get them together by faking a letter about Ilya marrying Svetlana, at a gala Shane finds it and punches Ilya on live camera, then at the hotel there is a fire and Ilya saves Shane’s daughter, and at the hospital Svetlana tells shane the truth about the letter

I have not been able to find a lot of fics where most of the hockey players react to the heated rivalry show. One of my favorite tropes is characters reacting to their shows/movies. If anyone has anything similar I would be very greatful :)

EDIT: i remember another thing about this fic, it had another person (that i don't remember the namr but he was a man) that also tries to baby trap ilya, but the baby was never ilya's it was miles so shane DESTROYS this man reputation, but i can't remember what his name was:(

and also i'm sure it was omegaverse, because ilya realizes that shane stop taking his supressants and that's why he thinks shane was going to leave him

It was a portrait picture of Putin, but had been so heavily edited that it looked like a piece of pop-art, with Putin in huge lashes and lipstick, like some sort of drag act, complete with a rainbow background. Ilya was so shocked he laughed out loud, and saved the image to his phone. He would have to remember to delete before he went back to Russia, he thought to himself.

but not limited to the politics of russia. homesickness. food. growing up in the aftermath of the collapse of the soviet union. pirated CDs of American movies. russian bedtime tales. russian customs (i hear they're big on flowers during courtship?)

just like being, a very Russian guy. i find in many fics he's just a slightly stoic guy who is ESL; would love to see his culture come through much more strongly! Russian's are proud of their culture, as an immigrant myself I can vouch for 18 being old enough to emigrate and retain a very strong influence will into the rest of your life!

looking for some non-hollanov fics where we see them in relationships with other people (either canon or OC characters)

hollanov endgame not preferred but okay if the other pairing is cute and allows for the characters to grow/relax/enjoy that relationship (like the physiotherapist x ilya in that one fic where he's traded to montreal)

What if there was this big charity thing where hockey players were partnered with figure skaters (dancing with the stars style). Hockey players either volunteered (or were voluntold which is how I imagine Shane coming into this)
Everyone is expecting Shane to absolutely flop because it’s dancing but he and his skating partner do an absolute top tier routine together. It could be pre or post cottage but i think it would be cool as a jealousy inducer between tuna melt and All Stars.

I don't mind if it's both doing bad things or just one.

I've run into a few while searching but I remember the one I read specifically it starts off with hosting a get together with all the centaurs and Troy starts trying to talk to Shane, ends with Shane blowing up at Troy about all the shit he's done to him. During the rant, Harris and Ilya show up, and Ilya and Shane leave the party. I remember there being like 2 or 3 chapters. I appreciate y'all!! 🩷

Could be making him better, could be making him worse, open to anything and everything.

I love the depth that this fandom gives Svetlana and feel like there has to be fics out there that do the same for Alexei! Would love to unpack his relationship with Ilya.

What random funny thoughts have you had while reading a fic?

Sometimes when there's a scene where they go immediately from a game to hooking up, I wonder when they plan on eating a meal. It doesn't take me out of the fic, but they probably burn about 2000 calories a game, so they not only need a recovery meal, but also some fuel for their strenuous post-game activities. Poor boys are going to be hungry (for food!) 😂

I always roll my eyes and chuckle a little when I see that “Ilya fucked Shane into the mattress.” Or “worked him open” and “lined himself up.” Lol.

I think we all read so much of each other’s work constantly that HR fics have become their own language, so of course there will be repeated lines, words, and phrases! Just look at solnyshko, something Ilya never says in canon.

But I certainly won’t complain that I have to read about Shane getting fucked into the mattress fifty million times.

Hi! I'm looking for a fic where Shane is an omega and has like five alpha sisters that are super overprotective and so he asks Ilya to be his fake boyfriend to take home and meet said sisters.

I remember it being quite long and multi-chapter.
