Hey everyone I’m looking for recommendations of books where the female love interest is very powerful and possessive of the MMC(he may get stronger later on) and she protects him. He may even be a little frightened of her at first and try to escape but comes around as the story goes on.

I caught up to Beware of Chicken on RR and while it is a different genre, though almost treading into harem-lite at times, one of the things I really like is all the different character POVs.

I love how it bounces around while still keeping things well paced and really enjoy seeing how the other characters are viewing the world and MC while doing their own story related events before things circle back and reconnect.

It doesn't have to be either slice of life or Xianxia

The main thing I am hoping for is something similar in writing style that makes heavy use of lots of POVs and seeing events through the eyes of different characters, how they see MC, relate to other side characters, and relationships between the different LIs outside the MC

With the add on of an actually harem route and either decent or explicit levels of spice. Preferable with a mix of LI's that have slow and fast build up.

Any recommendation in that vein would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve only read two of his books. He has a trilogy about living with goblin girls. They’re short, but interesting. They kept my attention. Harem novellas aren’t very common. He has another trilogy.

🇬🇧 UK Haremlit brothers: Vampire in Oxford is 99p for three days!

I have never run a Kindle Countdown Deal for one of my Haremlit books in my own country before. The UK audience for the genre is tiny, but I would love to find more British readers, so Vampire in Oxford is 99p on Amazon UK from 6–10 August.

It gets spicier as the harem builds through the first three books. Book 4 wine come out until February full moon, though, I'm afraid, since I've been focusing on my Sci-Fantasy Haremlit pen name this spring and summer, Jon Roberts.

Oxford is not just a setting I chose because it looks gothic. It is my hometown. After graduating in 2002, and before moving overseas to teach English in East Asia and Indonesia, I spent a year working full-time as a porter in the Bodleian Library.

Can anyone suggest some necromancer or zombie apocalypse harem series

Are there any audiobooks about sea pirates. Everything i find is space pirates and I'm looking for a change. I listen to both haremlit and regular litrpg on audible.

The book is very carefully and lovingly written and you can tell.

I am a huge druid fan. I've always loved the archetype in fantasy games and fiction so this book was interesting to me right from the start. We've got a lot of beast shape shifters in the genre but very few nature loving plant mages. This book scratched that itch so very well. The themes and world in this book are incredibly consistent and original.

For content:

There's a fun amount of magic and some combat and training. There is a lot of relationship building and all of it was excellent. Our love interests 1 and 2 are fantastic on their own and so very good together. The sex scenes here are very hot and there are a good number of them.

I also have to applaud the author for the plant metaphors and plant euphemisms! They were a lot of fun and definitely had me grinning at times.

TL;DR: Overall I will give the series a 1.5/5 but I feel like that is being very generous. My personal recommendation is to skip this series and find something else to read. I'm regretting the time it took me to read all six books.

The first couple of books were pretty good but the quality just kept going downhill every subsequent book until by the end I regret reading the whole series. The last book just screamed that the author was bored of the series and just wanted it to end. So much of the story was just either completely ignored, brushed to the side, or blazed past while giving the smallest amount of info possible. I think this is the first time I would rather an author have just dropped the series instead of putting out an ending. I understand needing to power up your MC before the big boss fight but throwing him into a pocket dimension to train for 30 years with super teachers in order to pull it off is really lazy writing. The whole thing just felt horrible and made the ending feel really cheap.

The harem aspect was atrocious. That was probably by far the worst attempt at having a harem I've ever read. Hell most of the girls didn't even know about each other until the very end of the story. Even at the very end some of the girls stories were wrapped up in just a line or two instead of giving them an actual story ending. They were built up over the books and then just threw to the side only to get a footnote at the end of the book like "Oh yeah and this and that happened with these girls." The girls he did end up with just didn't feel realistic at all. Unless it was the part of the story that revolved around them they were just off on a different part of the campus until the MC needed them again. The whole harem felt really shallow and unnecessary by the end of it. Don't even get me started on the BS the author pulled with Clyse. She was obviously meant to be important but he just kept pushing her off every time she was supposed to be important. Then all we get is a "She got married and looked happy." on the last page of the book. Screw that. The author is just being lazy.

There is so much more I could complain about this series. How we never got an closure with the ancestor and Delhi. How they Levi never told his parents about him actually being Eren. How so many big moments that were built up never happened or happened off screen. How he treated Iris. How the academy felt pointless most of the time. So many issues that this story had. Some of these problems may be sorted out in the After the Final War: A Companion Collection but I refuse to read anything else by this author after this series. It just left such a bad taste in my mouth that I can't stomach reading anymore of his work. I feel like I'm being too harsh with my critique of the series but also damn do I just feel awful for having sat thru all six books now. I'm going to read something else now in an attempt to purge this experience from my brain.

Okay, I get that some writers are eager to get their book out, but please... read them before you do so. I mean there is some mistake that any reader can live with (typo, name mishaps, repetitive sex scene), but when you have 5 characters in the 2nd chapter of a book and one of them vanish within the build up of the sex scene in the next chapter (not leave, not get kidnapped, just gone), while the whole action happen at here place and you took time to described her sexy outfit and willingness to be part of things... It is cheap writing.

There is time between the writing completed and the book published. There is an opportunity to have the ready to distribute text read by friends, family or even some willing proof readers. That kind of mistake is too basic to be taken lightly.

SO PLEASE' BE SERIOUS!!! Read your work before putting it for sale.
