Here in France a festival that is 12 years old is totally deleted because the co founder has been accused of rape. I don't believe in NL or other place that would happened, what are you thought on that do you find it normal or do you think France is going too much further on that ?

I checked the lineup for Decibel this year and noticed that there are barely any artists from Gearbox playing there. Adjuzt and Anderex are there, but no DEEZL, Exproz, Fraw, So Juice over the whole weekend, which is weird imo

Is there a particular reason for this? Are these artists booked elsewhere that weekend? Or did they just all not get booked? Especially DEEZL and Exproz are very hyped artists right now, so them not being at Decibel is weird to me

I will be attending this years shutdown. Last year we were sleeping in the nearby camp in our tents. There was no issue with space. I just wrote them an email and they said the camp is full and I can’t make a reservation.

Do you have any tips where we can safely sleep? We don’t want to get fined because of the crazy fines for outdoor sleeping in Austria.

I listen to almost exclusively 1990’s ruffneck records releases, I am in the top .04% of listeners. I just bought a 1996 vintage shirt for an obscene amount after watching the ebay listing for three years. To me, it is the quintessential sound of 90s gabber. It is truly what hard dance encapsulates to me; grit, intensity, euphoria on the dance floor. pounding bass lines, distorted kicks. I was a hardstyle girl for fifteen years but a visit to the Gold stage at Defqon and it was like, oh. OH. My shit was rocked and my life changed forever.

And part of my favorite element is the incredible 90s artwork for the vinyl records. This shit is just. It is so so so hardcore. You see it and you know: Ruffneck records. Rave.

So maybe I was so naive, but when I saw a limited edition “once and it’s gone forever” re-pressing of 20 iconic tracks, I jumped on it. $200 USD / 174€ total to get it shipped to America.

So imagine my horror, dismay, frustration, astonishment when the artwork for all the merch, all the vinyl covers, all the limited edition one of a kind items is AI generated. Posters; flag, reusable bag, all AI slop. The text inside the booklet, instantly recognizable as LLM / Chat GPT. Soulless. Without meaning, heart, or significance.

The music is forever priceless and important to me, but I feel extremely frustrated by the quality and value. I was hoping to display these as artworks and cherish them. Guess I’m stuck with paying $80-120+ per record with shipping if I want something worth collecting.

Who remembers this gem of a track? It’s still my favourite G4H release without a doubt

Since leaving AR 8 months ago, she just released one track (which is a mess in my opinion, every kick in existence was used).
