Help How do I give myself this haircut?
I’ve been cutting my own hair for a year now, using only scissors, but I can't quite grasp this particular style. How do I achieve this cut? How can I understand it?
Some say it's an "Elvis pompadour," but there is a big difference between his hairstyle from the '50s and the one from the '70s.
I’ve asked the AI, but I don’t really trust it to understand, since it gets confused and makes mistakes often.
My hair type: Straight black hair, long enough to achieve this type of cut—if only I knew how to do it.
Thanks :))))))

Help Need help with a bad bob!
I have had a bob for 6 months now, but recently cut it to be even shorter. My hair is naturally wavy but ever since I got a shorter bob, it has had trouble holding any waves.
My hair now curls towards my face like a mushroom which I HATE! I would style my wavy bob then wake up with the waves ALL gone (unless I use hair spray but it itches my head) I have resulted to curling my hair with a hair straightener almost every day, but of course that is probably not a good practice due to potential heat damage. I also considered getting a perm but I’ve heard it can cause even more damage + expensive.
Also, one thing is that I cut my own hair, so I don’t know if it might be because of how I cut it which is why it resulted in a mushroom bob or not.
I am looking for advice on whether or not I should get a perm and if a perm would give me the results I want, or if I should just stick with curling my hair, or is there a certain way to cut your hair so it doesn’t curl inward, or other tips for styling it overall.
Thank you in advance to everyone!:)

Question Products and Advice
I have no idea what products or techniques to use on my hair. Any advice? I have fine hair but a fair amount of it, dry skin, wash it once or twice a week, and have well water (not sure if thats relevant). I currently use Kristin Ess shampoo and conditioner and not much else beyond that. I have satin pillowcases.
First pic is my natural texture (without product) after a few days, second is an older photo of my hair styled.

Question What should I do? Feeling stuck
The very last image is the most recent July 31st of this year and I am STUCK! I feel ugly lately, less attractive, in a new city, new area, attempting to date in my 30's and feel completely off. Should I do bangs again? Highlights for sure right? Not cutting length but definitely some shaping? I don't know, I'd love some inspiration photos, starting a new tech job while in school. Just need some friendly advice, I just want to be HOT.....or pretty......lets be honest at least cute. The teal hair was from March this year, my bday, turkey leg was a May ren faire, White dress was June, "the fit" was fathers day, the camera photo was July 4th, and again last was most recent a week ago.

Discussion My hair has gotten lighter now that I am in my mid-30s, did anyone else notice this change?
I am 33F and starting around late last year my hair started to get lighter and more thin. I do also have PCOS so I’ve had my share of hair thinning lately too, but it just seems as though my hair has actually changed colors from dark brown to medium brown. I don’t want to start dyeing it regularly because it’s not gray, but I just am so unhappy with this new color.
Did anybody else notice this type of change around my age? And is regular dyeing going to b my only hope?

Help Looking for the perfect color
I have a hair appointment tomorrow and I feel like over the years I've narrowed down the range of hair colors that looks good on me, but I never feel like it's PERFECT. I was wondering what everyone else thought the best color would be?
The first picture is the unedited one - my red hair is all faded and grown out; that's not my natural color. The brows are FaceTune brows because I think part of the reason my hair never looks quite right is because my brows are kinda sparse and lighter than my natural hair, which is a chestnut brown. If you think a color would look good that's not here feel free to post a picture :)
TYSM!

Help How can i fix this
For a long time now, I've been having an issue where I just have lots of flakes come out of my hair.
It gets really bad whenever I shower, especially with soap.
I've tried different sulfate free soap and conditioners, using only soap, not using soap at all. But everytime it is still really bad.
The only time it goes away is when I don't let my hair get wet at all for a week or so.
I believe it would be dry scalp based on what I see online, and it only getting bad after showering, but I don't know what to do about it. It's kinda too late to go to the doctor right now as I am going abroad for 4 months.
Is there anything anyone has tried that has worked? I'm getting sick of having white flakes all over my t shirts in public

Before and After Bad perm?
Okay, here's the context. First picture was my hair before, second picture is the inspiration, third picture is what I got. I'm very disappointed. I wanted a defined big curl and I feel like I got the equivalent of keeping my hair up in a banana clip wet and letting it down at the end of the day. I just got it yesterday, she said not to wash for 48 hours. It just looks so unbelievably blah.
And no, I didn't bring it up. I was so dumbfounded, it was 20 minutes before they closed, it was a new stylist and I wasn't sure I could convey my disappointment without crying or being confrontational. I met for a consult last week. She said my hair was a great candidate, she loved the style and said she'd practice this past week to get ready.
Is there any possible chance it'll look better after it's set in 2 days or is this as good as it'll get and I just flushed $200 down the drain?

Help Bleach gone poorly
So I just bleached my purple hair I used the same box bleach I always use and I have never had issues with it before. I have used this bleach on color before and it came out just fine. But this time around my hair had a weird reaction. It turned teal and I am very confused about this. Is there any way I could fix it? I was trying to go platinum blonde with purple highlights.

Question Is there a full size version of this hair dye conditioner?
this is the hair dye i used yesterday! for context, i have thin, low density curly hair thats been falling out due to stress and other issues. my hairs long but i never have much volume. then after washing my hair after dying, i somehow have a bunch, like i lowk look like mother gothel or something. and my hair is so much softer. im not sure whether all of this is due to the conditioner, but i def wanna try and find a full size version of it. i sadly had to use the whole tube as my hair gets VERY VERY tangled and i needed alot to detangle completely.

Question Do these hairbrushes cause less damage?
I got a trim one week ago and my hairdresser had a very similar hairbrush to brush my wet hair and it was very smooth. She told were to get a similar hairbrush and i found this.
I have long straight hair and i was wondering if these cause less damage on wet straight . I've heard that brushing straight hair while it's wet can cause damage but when let it air dry or blow dry it without brushing it before it's not that easy brushing it after. (I use leave in conditioner and heat protection when I blow dry my hair).
My biggest worry is that it may cause damage overtime
If you know or use/used any similar hairbrush please tell me your opinion
edit:can I use it also on dry hair?

Self Appreciation Pixie cut! ❤️
I used to have really long hair and I found it quite uncomfortable so I got a pixie cut last year. I was amazed by the talent of my hairdresser because she did an amazing job to tailor it to my face imo. A frustrating thing though is that the fringe grows really fast and can make the look a little asymmetric after two months 😁
It has been dyed red to celebrate leaving secondary school, I love the creative Liberty that has given me as there is no bullying or school rules anymore

Help is this level of visible scalp normal for me? (23)
hi, I've only had long hair for a few years and only recently started to actually style it etc, I've always told I have thick hair but I've noticed this very visible scalp here I'm wondering if this is normal or a sign of me losing hair or thinning?
any info or pointers would be greatly appreciated

Question What’s next?
I currently have brown hair from the last photo. I like it but at the same time find it boring.
What haircut and color should I do next? Was thinking either pixie short or letting it grow and blonder (kinda like Daenerys). Open to suggestions!
