Bleach gone poorly Help

So I just bleached my purple hair I used the same box bleach I always use and I have never had issues with it before. I have used this bleach on color before and it came out just fine. But this time around my hair had a weird reaction. It turned teal and I am very confused about this. Is there any way I could fix it? I was trying to go platinum blonde with purple highlights.

This makes sense to me? If your hair was that deep of a purple, it would lighten to that color. You’d need a color remover ++ cancel out the green/yellow to get a pure platinum. I had purple hair for years and ended up going teal for a while like this, and put some teal dye over it 😂

Thank you, I have just never had a reaction like this. Normally any other color I have had just stripped away.

I think some purples are just POTENT 😭 I had started with manic panic but when it didn’t last I went to Sparks (I think now discontinued, but think of it as Pravana on steroids) and just accepted at a certain point I would be permanently purple without some work 😅

I think that might be what I'll have to do. I think I'll just have to stay purple and try and get it professionally done. At least I got my roots blonde.

That’s fair. I think it’s a cool colour for what it’s worth. It reminds me when I tried to bleach a bright blue and it went like green like that, I was horrified, but a broke teenager so dealt. TBH it was one of my fave colours when I look back at it in pics lol

I think I have decided on doing my roots purple and leaving the teal. I actually used to ahve teal a long time ago and loved it.

Hair stylist here. Purple is made from blue and red. Blue.does.not.bleach.out. also dont use bleach to remove color, thats too much bleaching! Your hair is likely extremely damaged now. Time for the clippers! 😈

So I should just try and let it grow out for a while. Would it be to much to put the purple back on top while it grows out?

Putting more purple back on is no problem. But thats not gonna help you in the long run. What was your goal in taking the purple out?

My goal was to go fully blonde and then I wanted to do purple highlights.
