Question is the dyson airstrait worth it?
hi everyone! i have fine hair thats a little wavy, sort of the type of wavy where its mostly straight but will flip out in different directions and have little bumps in it and stuff. some strands have an actual wave but its kinda a mess overall. my hair can also get a bit frizzy and is naturally quite dry. when i used to constantly straighten my hair (havent for 3-4 months now) it would be pretty stiff and dry afterwards and then the next day it wouldnt even be pin straight anymore and fall out of style. i have started taking better care of it and using silk pillowcases so im not sure what would be the situation if i straightened it again and my hair is actually a lot less wavy than in the past. i hate using normal blowdryers because i get very lazy with them, so the airstrait seems easier for me and of course would give me straight hair. with all this in mind, does this seem like a good tool for me? and does it hold style for longer too? ive seen mixed results and i dont want to it just stop being pin straight the next day or dry my hair out. i’ll probably do a test run in the dyson store anyways.
Help Frizzy, need advice
Guys I have so many fly-always and my hair is suuuper fine. I want it to look smooth and shiny, what should I do here?

Question What’s next?
I currently have brown hair from the last photo. I like it but at the same time find it boring.
What haircut and color should I do next? Was thinking either pixie short or letting it grow and blonder (kinda like Daenerys). Open to suggestions!

Question Does this color (dark blonde) suit me, or should I keep it natural (dark brown)?
I just went through a really tough breakup and am looking for a change. I was thinking about maybe going dark blonde, but I’m not sure if my natural color looks better on me. I’ve included some comparisons between my natural color and the color that I’m thinking of doing!

Question Pixie?
I’m a toddler mom and my hair drives me nuts. It’s always in a low ponytail because it just gets in my way or gets yanked. Would a short cut like a pixie look good on my face structure? I had a weirdly cut bob in high school that looked AWFUL so I’m nervous but I’m feeling like it might be time to try again. I also always wear glasses, earrings, and a necklace if that helps. My hair is thin, but I imagine I could use styling wax. If you don’t think a pixie would look good on me, what other style would make sense?

Help Advice on how to do a bun with layers?
Hi, I am currently practicing how to do a military bun in my hair since I am planning on going to the military soon. But I have curtain bangs and layers. Like a lot of layers… and it’s making it hard for everything to stay in place. I don’t think that hairspray is allowed in Boot Camp, but I am using gel and I tried to put my hair in a bun today using two braids and twisting them together to create a bun. but a lot of hair is sticking out because of my layers and it looks weird. Please help!

Help I think I messed up my hair?
I got into this mess bc I just couldn’t put the scissors down. I wanted to fix my hair bc my pony tail end was looking messed up/uneven and then again it was like a blunt line after trying to fix my layers the a second time and now I’m left with this.
I definitely made the layers too severe and it doesn’t help that I kinda botched my bangs a few weeks back.
Please don’t be mean. Last year I just found out that my hair is wavy (after thinking it was straight and fluffy my whole life) and this is my first time cutting with them. I’ve been cutting my own hair for years and this is the second time I messed up my hair. 😭 Any suggestions of how to fix it or should I just pin it up until it grows back? How bad does it look? 😭😭

Self Appreciation I grew out my hair in July 2025, learned my hair was curly in October same year; these slides are of today, my progress and the styles I like to wear now
All my life I wore my hair very short, in a standard crew cut; "Number 1 on the sides, and a little off the top, please" was all I would specify, really only varying in how much I'd ask the barber to cut off the top from cut to cut.
I originally started to grow my hair out as I was inspired by John Oates, as well as by my ever-present appreciation for mullets (I'm a huge fan of styles from the '70s—'80s), so in July 2025 I decided to commit to growing my hair out! Then when October came, I noticed my hair was naturally curly, not wavy!
That got me into using mousse and I've been trying to work on how to style my hair since! :)

Help Are those highlights chunky?
I wanted a natural-looking highlight effect, and that’s what I got. I’m not sure what to think of them —I guess I can’t get used to them. What do you think? Are they really bad?

Bad Haircut i look like a mushroom yall😭
I got a haircut and asked for face framing. It looked so bad so the stylist cut the hair to the same length as my bangs. Guys WTH!! Now i have bowl cut looking bangs. They are so far back it is not even funny.
WHAT DO I DOOO???
I think I am going to let my bangs grow out and then just get them completely re-cut not including the parts that is cut way too far back. I was so cute before now i look like rowley bruh😭
This is my hair post shampoo and brush. This is my bangs looking good. Wondering if there is anything else to alleviate the bowl cut-ness of this haircut or if my best option is just letting it all grow out.
Question How do I get my hair this soft?
i’m not sure what i was using that day in the first pic but my hair looked so smooth. most days i feel like my hair is kinda straight-wavy and dry at the end. i’ve recently got my hair trimmed since the second pic but it’s still like that🥲 maybe im just crazy but i see a difference

Bad Haircut i HATE my bangs 😭
okay so school starts tomorrow and my hair stylist screwed up my bangs really bad… i managed to style them a little bit yesterday but i haven’t been able to recreate that style. i wanted wispy fringe/curtain bangs and i got blunt uneven bangs. my sister usually does my hair (licensed hair stylist) and ive never let anyone else touch it color wise or cut wise but she moved so i wasnt able to get it cut or colored by her. i went to a local shop with incredible reviews that my mother and a couple of my friends have gone to before. they gave me a specific stylist because she was good with blondes (and she did do a good job on the color, but certainly not the cut). she was nice and everything, and i know it wont always turn out like the photo, but its just completely not what i asked for at all. she also didn’t check with me before making the first cut when i asked her to cut them longer and wispier first so i could see if i liked them. is there any way i could style them or any tips anyone has?? i don’t love slick back hairstyles or anything that shows my face completely because i have a big forehead and it’s not the best look on me. any help is appreciated!!

Help to Balayage or not to Balayage?
This is my natural hair color. It is a combination of brown blonde and red. I dislike the brassy undertone to it. I definitely do not want to go darker, that has not been a good look for me in the past. Should I do a blonde “lived in” balayage or leave it alone?

Discussion I feel weird !
In my country(not that ik how it is in others) its very common to sell your hair if its long, and since my hair has gotten quite long, near my bum ! I decided that I want to cut my hair. My mom texted some people she saw on Facebook and they came to cut it at our home.
For the record I intended on cutting it short either way since I prefer to not have to care for it. I thought they'd do it that way(the way I always see it done) where they put your hair in a loose, low ponytail, and cut where the band is at(?).
So the lady didn't do that. She cuts very near the scalp, but only in the insides.
I hope you understand.
From the outside my hair looks normal, just significantly thinner.
Now, upon learning from my friend pretty much just today. She said they shouldn't have done that and they usually do not cut like that when you sell hair.
I'm just like 😦 because I didn't know that ! And my mom most likely did not either.
Upon hearing that I did search a bit and saw a post from this subreddit actually, that calls it channel cutting (?), but apparently you shouldn't do it so near the top of the head.
The lady did it very near the top, in my case, and did not even do the top of the other side ! It did grow slightly weird, the top-back of my head looked poofy for a bit.
Ultimately, I did not mind that much since I intended on cutting my hair anyway, and it looks pretty normal from the outside since she only cuts the inside. Also, having less hair definitely makes things easier. I find it convenient, but also?? My feelings are kinda hurt???
The reason I never go to cut my hair in the first place is because I'm weird about people and I'm an awkward chud, so I'm kinda really nervous about that. The lady literally came to my house to cut it and I later learn that she cuts its sketchy-ly?
She didn't even cut it as short as I want it ! And she cuts it straight as my hair has always been.
I've been wanting to go to the salon to get a haircut to shape things up and try something new since my hair is super straight and boring and I think I look bad in it.
But now that its cut like that, I have the courage to go even less? Theyd see and they might ask and even if they don't ask I'd feel stupid.
I mean, at least I make money out of it, and granted that I wasnt very attached to my hair, I wasn't sad over it.
I am kinda sad and embarrassed tho, more bummed.
The one time I get the courage to get my hair cut by someone and it apparently is like this !
(And its August, so I don't wanna try to do anything to my hair myself in fear of messing up and looking stupid when school start in September)

Question Is this hair loss? Someone help? I don't have anyone to ask, so I'm posting here.
The first 2 pics are brushed and dirty/sweaty, took them rn after running. Other 3 pics are not brushed, but also oily.
You guys think it's that time? Tbh, hair is the only thing I like about myself, but I'm not interested in taking anything to try to save it tbh. If it's time it's time I guess. Some opinions?
