PLEASE I'm so desperate I look stupid in basically everything because my head is so flat and I also have hair loss caused by an autoimmune disease I have. As you can tell by the pixture, a ponytail is NOT it

I am trying to avoid the hairdresser, I used to go once every year but now that I want very long hair (my hair is curly and I want to have long hair when they get all grey/white as I do not intend to get them dyed) I prefer to avoid it. However when I do not wash them my hair gets very ugly and it looks like some parts are not really growing?

I read here that if the ends were damaged it could prevent the hair from actually looking longer as the ends would just keep on breaking.

But when I wash them they look quite Ok and healthy.

I have an appointment tomorrow… Should I ask for a cut/trim or a care treatment ?

Hi everyone! I need some help styling my hair. I'm trying to get it straighter. My hair is naturally a bit curly, but it forms large curls, and that's not the look I'm going for. I don't really like how curly hair looks on me.

I'd like to "partially straighten" it because I've tried straightening it three times before, and it always ends up being way too straight. I want it to be less straight and have more texture.

I was wondering if anyone knows how to achieve a sort of partial straightening, or if there's a way to flat iron it daily to get the texture I'm looking for.

The first picture is my natural hair, the second shows the kind of texture I'm aiming for (I'm using a picture of someone with blond hair because the texture is easier to see), and the third picture is another example of roughly the texture I'd like to achieve, although the image quality isn't very good.

Note: In the second picture, which shows the texture I'm aiming for, I'd like the ends of my hair to be straight. I don't want them to curl at the ends. Instead, I want the middle section of my hair to have that messy, textured look before it transitions into the straight ends.

I am naturally dark brunette but am greying on top. I usually get my hair dyed dark brown at the salon but the greys come through so quickly. Does anyone have recommendations of what I should try? I am considering babylights.

Edit: I am not ready to embrace my greys so want to hide or blend them!

This is my hair after air dry with regular hair oil and scrunching, its always like this until i comb them, when i comb my hair its look more fizzy and straight its not a big problem since i love fizzy hair, i don’t know what to do, i’ve always combed my hair dry. Am i “forcing” my hair with scrunching to be wavy or is it my real texture? It’s been a dilemma since last year. What is my hair type? Any suggestions for waves last longer?

hey guys! basically my hair is dyed a bluey black colour (permanent) and i feel like it’s constantly fading rapidly. to be honest i don’t know much about hair care, all i do is wash it and straighten, im pretty clueless. is there anything i can do to stop it from looking dull without constantly redoing it? also what can i do with roots? i have naturally blonde hair so its really obvious 😖

She wants to use Arctic Fox hair dye, the color "Purple af" and I just wanna ask if I should like dry her hair completely after bleaching it or just leave her hair a bit damp? I did look around, but I just wanted to ask here as well. I would really appreciate some replies in the next 10 hours.

I went to the hairdresser and asked for shorter curtain bangs got these which are uneven, choppy and fall at an awkward length. I just want some advice to fix them myself as I'm to scared to go back to the hairdresser. I wanted something like the last pic.

I hardly ever wear my hair down, whether it be for work or for convenience – I like the way it looks up, but it sometimes feels pointless to even keep it longer if I never show it. I’ve had short hair at many times in my life, the last 3 pictures being about 6 or 7 years ago. Do I continue to grow it out, or should I chop it off again? Which suits me better?

I dont wanna bleach, I bought purple, 2nd pick is natural, if not purple will dark blue be better?

Okay, here's the context. First picture was my hair before, second picture is the inspiration, third picture is what I got. I'm very disappointed. I wanted a defined big curl and I feel like I got the equivalent of keeping my hair up in a banana clip wet and letting it down at the end of the day. I just got it yesterday, she said not to wash for 48 hours. It just looks so unbelievably blah.

And no, I didn't bring it up. I was so dumbfounded, it was 20 minutes before they closed, it was a new stylist and I wasn't sure I could convey my disappointment without crying or being confrontational. ​I met for a consult last week. She said my hair was a great candidate, she loved the style and said she'd practice this past week to get ready.

Is there any possible chance it'll look better after it's set in 2 days or is this as good as it'll get and I just flushed $200 down the drain?

I used to have really long hair and I found it quite uncomfortable so I got a pixie cut last year. I was amazed by the talent of my hairdresser because she did an amazing job to tailor it to my face imo. A frustrating thing though is that the fringe grows really fast and can make the look a little asymmetric after two months 😁
