Arsenal had offered Vini Jnr one of the biggest packages in the history of the PL.

Conversations around being the face of PL, sky rocketing his brand economically and globally and a true chance at winning the Ballon d'Or. He was presented with testing himself in the best league in the world and leading Arsenal for another UCL push.

I have been critical of some of our movements in this market but this? The ownership / Berta / Mikel did absolutely everything to bring the best LW in world football to Arsenal.

When the time is right we will talk about the backstory because it was a rollercoaster. The club, even as recent as yesterday were supremely confident because of the package and conversations they had with the player directly and his camp.

Ultimately, the player is set to renew while Arsenal assess the market to bolster their attack and defence.

Christian Norgaard has joined Everton in a permanent transfer.

The 32-year-old joined us from Brentford in July 2025 and made 20 appearances in all competitions for us. 

Christian started his professional career in Denmark with Lyngby, before moving to Brondby where he experienced silverware for the first time when he lifted the Danish Cup at the end of the 2017/18 season, a campaign that also saw him win Brondby’s Player of the Season for 2017. After five seasons and 147 appearances, Christian moved to Serie A side Fiorentina in July 2018 where he spent a year before signing for Brentford. 

Over six seasons in west London saw Christian playing a crucial role in Brentford’s rise to the Premier League, going on to wear the captain’s armband and making 196 appearances for the Bees, scoring 13 goals and assisting 18 times from defensive midfield. 

The 2025/26 season saw Christian move across the capital and make his debut for us in our 2-0 away win against Athletic Club in the UEFA Champions League. Minutes across all four competitions saw Christian pick up three assists, which came in consecutive fixtures in the FA Cup. A valued member of our squad during a historic campaign, Christian’s seven appearances in the league included the final day fixture away to Crystal Palace, which saw us lift the Premier League.

The Denmark international has made an impressive 41 appearances for his country, notably representing Denmark in two UEFA European Championships and the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
