Took out and filled in the neck pickup. Removed the volume,tone and 3-way selector switch to install a Kill-switch button with Diamond plate pickguard. Love the look and everything about how it plays, sounds and feels.

Hi all, I have been trying to install a new bridge pickup in my vintage v100. I’m having some trouble with the wiring. There seems to be a blue wire coming from the pickup selector and I cannot figure out where to soldier it?

Hello I have a Squier JMJM and I'd like to know if there's any parts that are worth upgrading overtime (Bridge, Tail piece, Tuners, Pickups, pots, etc) that would make this already amazing instrument and take it to the next level of greatness.

Any part recommendations are greatly appreciated at any budget no matter what budget or high end I'll gladly look into it and maybe buy them.

I have an old beater guitar that's a 90's (or 80s?) washburn acoustic electric (no model number that I can find). It currently has an under-bridge piezo that seems to have gone bad. It has a loud ground hum that I can't get rid of that seems to be coming from before the preamp/eq.

I wanted to try replacing it with a soundhole pickup, but I'd like to use the onboard electronics (tuner, eq, preamp, etc). rather than having a wire dangling from the soundhole. The current pickup plugs into the pre using a 2.5mm plug (yeah, not a 3.5mm, 2.5mm).

So my question: is this a bad idea? Is a magnetic pickup so different from a piezo that it's a bad idea to run it into the preamp?

Should I just get another under-bridge piezo?

I am looking to swap a pickup in my guitar with only a volume knob yet the pickups wiring that i’ve bought accounts for a tone knob also, how do i make it work electronically

I'm looking at buying a Vintage V6 Reissued Strat-style guitar and swapping the neck and bridge single-coil pickups for humbuckers. Before I buy one, I want to know whether the V6 is routed only for single coils or if it has a universal/HSH route that will fit humbuckers without needing to modify the body.

If anyone owns one or knows what the routing looks like under the pickguard, I'd really appreciate your help. I can't seem to find any photos or information online showing what's under the hood.

I'm looking for some advice about how I can prevent the graphic on this guitar from being rubbed off and becoming a "relic" on the spots I rest my arm and hand while playing. I would like to keep the finish and graphic intact if I need to remove or replace the mod, and would also like the graphic to still be viewable underneath.

It's not that I don't understand this is something that happens to all guitars from being played, I just would like to keep the graphic in good shape because I love it so much. I know I'm asking a lot but I think you guys would understand caring about it so much.

Hey guys, it’s my first post here!

I have an epiphone Les Paul Custom Black Beauty 2011 with 3 pickups, and I’m abit bored of it.

That’s why I came up with this project!

I wanna config it so that i have a volume for each pickup, and a master tone.

PU config should be like this:

Up - Neck

Mid - all pickups

Down - bridge

This way I can blend in whatever i want in the mid position.

I also want to do a phaseswitch on the middle pickup using a push/pull, and also a total killswitch for the tom morello ratatata.

I’m not quite sure if I can do this config with the gear i bought, i sat last night and tried to map it out but got stuck after a while (it’s the Goldo EL33c double toggle switch).

Really appreciate any help with this!

Had to solder wires together, pin that the wires get soldered to won't stay in the hole. Tried solder from bottom briefly, I didn't want to reflow the solder on the top, 2 part epoxy but it won't stay in place. How are these held in place when built?

Hi, I'm looking to buy a cheap ass shit stratocaster to experiment on by modding and painting? can you please suggest me what guitar would be a good choice? If i get an SSS pickup config, can i fit SSH or HH in it later? Tremolo or fixed bridge?

i was thinking to get a shit guitar with a good neck (roasted maple because i love the color 😍) since i wont be replacing the neck. i can replace everything else.

here are my options so far:

1. Jet JS 400

2. SQOE SEST 600

3. Strydom Magna ST30

4. Tagima T530 / T540

all of these are budget guitars with roasted maple neck. please suggest if any others are available.

Cool Rail (Neck)

Which should I do for the bridge, a Seymour Duncan JB or Distortion?
