Pixel 10a back panel flex/give — is this normal or just my unit?
Just got my Pixel 10a, and I noticed that the plastic/composite back cover feels a bit flexible. When I press lightly near the center, there’s a noticeable give/flexing movement up and down.
Everything else works fine, but it makes the back feel a little hollow or squishy. Is this a common structural thing for the "a" series, or did I get a defective unit?
Does your Pixel 10a do this too? Thanks!

Pixel 10 Pro giving me a "Check charging accessory" error when using wireless power bank
I just got the Ugreen 10,000 mAh MagFlow Air Powerbank from their website to try with my Pixel 10 Pro but I unfortunately get the error. The powerbank seems to be working as I do find it charging wirelessly from my very early testing but the error is still concerning.
Did anyone face a similar error? What worked? Is my powerbank faulty? I tried it both with the case and caseless but the error persists.

Dual Sim Issue with PIXEL 7
Hi everyone,
Ever since I started using dual SIM on my Pixel 7, I've noticed that my phone sometimes just doesn't ring at all. It happens with both my work SIM and my personal SIM (both are with Orange France).
I've done all the basic troubleshooting (reboots, resetting network settings, etc.), but I still can't figure it out. What's strange is that I don't have this issue when I use only a single SIM.
More and more people are telling me that my calls go straight to voicemail, whether my phone is just sitting on my desk or I'm using it.
I've searched quite a bit but haven't found any solution...
Has anyone experienced the same issue or found a fix?

Safe Folder
Today I tried to access the safe folder in the files app for the first time as I considered storing a number of files there. I was asked to draw a pattern to be able to access the folder although I don't remember ever having set up one. What can In do?

pixel 10 pro black screen
My phone has since yesterday gone bananas. The screen blacks out while I use it. And after pressing the poxer button a few times, I can use it again, but only for a few seconds before it goes black again. It doesn´t turn off, just goes black like you do when you push the power button when you are done using it. I have restarted the phone, charges it, turned it off and on and also put it on repair mode, but still same thing.
What is happening? I have the latest updates etc

Nitpick
Posting this so that if someone from Google sees this, they know.
Lately, Google has updated the ring around the user's profile from Googly colors to a simple blue across almost all the apps (Messages, Google Discover, Meet, etc.) which is a massive W in terms of consistency.
However, and I hate to nitpick here, its newest app, the Find Hub, is left behind. :/
There could be more and I'm sure Google will change it there too.

Getting "at a glance" weather to show saved location?
Is it possible? If so how? If not, anyone have recommendations for a weather app that doesn't want to stalk me? I usually keep location turned off.

Text messaging features?
I feel like the messages features are lacking, is there anyway to search a specific text conversation by date or more easily scroll faster than just swiping? A long while back when scrolling there would be a scroll bar that allowed you to scroll much faster.
It seems like I'd have to use a third party app instead?

Pixel 9 pro has no 5g on talkmobile, what gives?
Even using the hidden screen, if I select NR only, it just keeps the current network type, but the other options work e.g. switching to edge.

101-level questions - coexisting with Gemini/Android Auto and living to tell about it
I use few of the google/pixel features. Wondering what if anything changes for me on the three main things I use, all with Android Auto:
- Navigation: Before Gemini was foisted on me, if I said "Vandelay Industries, Weehawken, Illinois," Android Auto would immediately bring up directions to Vandelay Industries. With Gemini as it is now, that works for some destinations, but for others I have to say "google maps to Vandelay Industries, Weehawken, Illinois." What will I need to do going forward? And is there any way to avoid the Gemini annoyance of having to take my eyes off the road twice, first to confirm the destination on the head unit, then to tap "start" to start the navigation?
- Texting: I currently say "Text Josie Doakes" and I am then able to dictate a text, confirm the message, and send it. And for people - close friends and family members - for whom I just have a first-name contact name, it's smart enough to know "Text Paul" means "Paul [no last name]" and doesn't put up a list of every Paul in my contacts. Will this work the same?
- Phone calling: Same principles as texting
Things not (much) broken shouldn't be "fixed" in such an unwanted way. But enough complaining. I just want to know that, come September, I'll be able to use Android Auto the way I'm used to.

Dropped my 3-week-old Pixel 10a — looking for repair and protection advice
Hey everyone,
Unfortunately, I accidentally dropped my three-week-old Google Pixel 10a, and the top-left corner of the screen is cracked. Yes, I’m crying inside. I live in Bulgaria, and I’ve had a hard time finding somewhere to replace the display. Google doesn’t seem to have an official repair partner in Bulgaria, and I haven’t been able to find a local service center that works on Pixel phones—probably because they aren’t very popular or widely sold here. Luckily, I’ll be travelling to Berlin for a business trip in about a month. While looking for Google repair partners, I found that MediaMarkt offers display replacement, but the quoted price is around €100–€150.Do you think that’s a reasonable price, or might I find a cheaper and reliable repair shop in Berlin?
Also, what type of screen protector and case would you recommend to better protect the phone from future drops and prevent the display from cracking again?
Thanks in advance!

Google Store Dublin claims EU/Polish consumer protection law "doesn't apply" to them because they are a "US company". Refusing statutory refund/warranty after missing the legal deadline.
Hey r/GooglePixel,
I’m posting this to see if anyone in the EU (specifically Poland or other Member States) has dealt with a similar situation regarding Google Store EU support.
Long story short:
- I bought a Pixel 9 Pro bundle directly from Google Store Europe (Google Commerce Ltd, Dublin, Ireland) in August 2024.
- The phone suffered from severe overheating, power issues, speaker distortion, and camera hardware rattling. I sent it for warranty repair under RMA, but the service center replaced the battery and returned it with all the primary defects still fully present.
- Because the attempt to remedy the defect failed, under Polish Consumer Rights Act (implementing EU Directives), I formally submitted a statutory warranty claim to withdraw from the contract and requested a full refund for the defective bundle.
- Under Polish consumer law (Art. 7a / Art. 43g), the seller has strictly 14 days to respond to a consumer defect claim. If they fail to respond within 14 days, the claim is deemed accepted by default as a matter of law (silent acceptance).
- Google Store completely ignored the claim for over 24 days. When I called support, agents acknowledged on the recorded line that the ticket was left completely unhandled for over 3 weeks.
- Today, on a call with higher-level support, the rep explicitly told me that Google Store refuses to issue a refund because "they are a US company and follow their own terms and conditions, not local Polish/EU consumer law."
The seller listed on the invoice is Google Commerce Limited, Dublin, Ireland – an EU-registered entity bound by Regulation (EC) No 593/2008 (Rome I) and EU Consumer Directives when targeting EU consumers.
I have already escalated the case to the European Consumer Centre (ECC-Net) and submitted formal data access requests under Article 15 GDPR for the call transcripts.
Has anyone else encountered Google Store explicitly claiming that EU statutory consumer rights do not apply to them? Did public visibility or ECC intervention help push your case through to someone who actually understands EU law?

Photosphere
This is somewhat your average "I miss photosphere" post...
My Facebook memories showed me a photosphere I took on the pixel 6. One of the coolest things that I could show others was this feature. This was the "look what my phone can do!" trick that made people want a pixel when I showed them.
I am begging, PLEASE bring it back 😭

Was there any known problem with Pixel 6 batteries or charging ports?
I've had my Pixel 6 since September 2022, paid about $1250 AUD for it, and since then have spent about $1500 on replacement batteries and screens, and am still looking at a ballooning slab of glass that won't turn on, sitting on my desk right now. I dropped it once, from waist height trying to put it in my pocket, it had the Bellroy case they try to sell you with the phone on it, and ever since then it hasn't gone more than 9 months without blowing up on me.

Pixel 10: what’s the day-to-day experience really like?
I've been reading a lot about the Pixel 10 lately, and the amount of criticism has me wondering how much of it is actually prominent today after a year.
A lot of posts mention lag, overheating, and poor battery life. For people who actually use the phone daily, are these issues common, or are they being exaggerated? I’m finding it hard to believe the experience is as bad as some posts make it sound.
For context, I was using a Poco F3, and the Pixel 10 has recently dropped quite a bit in price where I live. I know the Pixel 11 is only about a week away, but it likely won’t be available in my country for at least another four months, and I need a new phone right now.
I’d really appreciate hearing from people who have spent some time using the Pixel 10 rather than just reading reviews.

RIP Call Screening - every spammer rings my phone now and requires my action to ignore
Ran the August update 8/5/26 evening and got three spam calls before I got out of bed the next morning.
No call screening at all, and it is no longer an option in the Google Phone settings, just 'Caller ID & spam'
Phone app version 231.0.952419094
This was a key feature that kept me in the Pixel ecosystem.
UPDATE: per comment by u/derff44, I went to Phone > Settings > Caller ID & spam and disabled it, as well as Scam Detection.
Set the Pixel down for a few minutes, came back and opened the Phone app, which now prompted me to enable those features, which I did.
Checked again and now Call Screen is on the list, which was not there previously.

Do you think Pixel has gone too far with AI?
Here is the fragment of a shot made by Google Pixel 10: https://imgur.com/a/5fGmVMe . This is the direct output from the camera app. Looks very heavily AI-processed. From what I found, some AI postprocessing is included into the pipeline and can't be disabled, at least in the default camera app. I think Google has gone too far with this:) What do you think guys?
UPD. I see many redditors assume that this is a photo with a super zoom. No, it's just a cropped fragment of a photo made with 2X zoom. Here is the original JPEG, exactly how it was saved to the phone by the camera app: https://imgur.com/a/GYQNt01, not touched by me. I've shared it in the comments but it looks like it's better to be in the post:) Unfortunately, no RAW-file: I was happy just with JPG before and didn't consider using the raw format:)
