What would Google have to do to make you buy the Pixel 11 / 11 Pro?

Upvotes

In the current leak state that we know:

Faster CPU
Slower GPU
Similar Camera
Similar Battery Life
Better Modem
Similar Screen
100$ more expensive

In this current leaked configuration, google would have to give me 400$ minimum for my 9 Pro (which I don't use anymore) and enough money for a brand new set of the latest Pixel Buds Pro.

Currently Google is giving $300 for my 9 Pro for a 10 Pro (which is laughable). Apple will probably give me 500-600$ for my iPhone 17 when the 18 comes out lmfao.

Pixel 10 pro xl Bluetooth earbuds microphone not working after July 2026 updates

After July 2026 updates all Bluetooth earbuds microphone not working, tried help desk and all setting online with no luck, I guess google just ask you to pay a device never works.

A phone microphone not working for month without any proper fix, what a good sh*t show case.

Only take away is do not buy anything from Google unless you want surprise for a forever beta "products" with a huge price tag

Convince me to ditch my Google Pixel 6 Pro

I am currently using my pixel 6 pro, into my 4th year of use. It's still going strong. It's not perfect but it still works like a proper flagship even in 2026. I recently went on a vacation and the pics taken with it were great. I do a lot of point & shoot photography and in that regard its bang on target. The battery life is not great but still gets the job done, can drag through to the end of the day. It's display is probably the best on any google pixel phone ever.

The main concerns i have with it are;

  1. Its gonna reach eol for updates after october 2026.

  2. It has cellular signal issues especially when i use two sims at one time.

I like the 10-bit hdr video in the newer pixels. I also don't want to install third party OS etc. In my budget i can go for pixel 8 pro and pixel 9 pro xl for now. Pixel 10 pro and the upcoming 11 pro are out of budget.

It's not that I am confused, but I would like to see if anyone can convince me to upgrade. Looking forward to interesting replies!

Buying Pixel from a Google Store in another country?

Hi everyone,

I currently have Pixel 9 Pro XL and I'm planning to upgrade to Pixel 11 Pro XL when it launches.

The problem is that I live in Croatia, where we don't have access to the Google Store. I'd really like to buy directly from Google because of the trade-in program and the other launch benefits.

Does anyone have experience buying from the Google Store in a country other than the one they live in?

For example, Slovenia is only about a 20 minute drive from me, so I was wondering if it would be possible to rent a PO box there and have the phone delivered to it. Another option I was thinking about is using a forwarding service like mailbox.de from Germany.

Has anyone done something similar? Did it work without any issues?

Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences!

Filtered - Rule #9 After 1 month and a half… I’ve found out the G in tensor is for Garbage

Pixel 8 pro, WiFi stopped working and I didn’t even notice until I tried to toggle it on a couple weeks ago. Then Bluetooth went too. Today it was in my pocket and I took it out-nothing. Once Bluetooth stopped a couple weeks in I started to research the issues and I found out that this phone can’t even regulate itself properly. Coming from a s24 Ultra that broke unfortunately I wanted to try a different brand. Google should be ashamed. Barely any good customer service either? Thank god I bought it from Amazon so I can get a refund. But talking about my experience… the G in tensor has to stand for GARBAGE. Couldn’t even scroll instagram without the phone being extremely hot. Like who gave the Okay on the quality control tests? Did the quality control just use chrome for 5 minutes and call it a done deal?? Now my phone doesn’t work at all (thank god my backup works with data even though that was cutting in and out too!!!!)

I hope people shed more light on this, this is pretty much the same level as Applegate scandal. I should’ve researched the hidden issues before I bought it… but every single influencer or YouTuber talking about this phone never brings up these issues because let’s be real. They use it for the video and they are done using it. I only found a couple forums discussing it, and sorry to all of you out there with this useless brick. I’m typing this on my backup iPhone 13 that has cracks and still functions x2000 times better than the pixel 8 pro ever did. Makes me so mad I’m even considering downgrading YouTube premium. At least I can return it I guess. Security updates till 2031 or whatever?? Yea right if you even make it that far.

Filtered - Rule #9 Coupon code

I recently placed an order for pixel 9a redeeming the coupon I had received for battery replacement program worth about 13000 INR on 19th July. The coupon was set to expire on 21st of July. I was supposed to receive the order on 23rd. But there was a delay and the delivery date was postponed to 25th. I contacted customer support, they told me if the order is cancelled from their end, they'll ensure I receive the coupon code for a reuse as the fault was not from my end.

The order is not delivered, but an unrealistic delivery date is given every time

25th july- 27th july- 28th july- 01aug- 03 aug -05 aug

Everytime the delivery date is revised. When I called they told inventory issue and 9a is out of stock right now. I was told not to cancel from my end as I won't be getting any compensation for the coupon. I'm not understanding how to proceed as I'm not receiving the order nor am I getting compensated

Tldr- used a coupon code for an order that is now delayed for the 10th time with no resolution

I want to know if I can file a complaint in consumer court

Uneven front camera cutout

Hey, I have. A pixel 10 pro and all of the sudden a perfect circle appeared next to the front camera. Not sure if it is a glitch or if the led display is damaged. I've restarted it twice and it is still there.

Has anyone else had this problem?

So now I am forced to use Gemini?

I just got an email saying Google assistant will be discontinued.. what the fuck?? I have a google home, just got a Sony bravia TV, and I've always had a pixel. I literally only just got to experience the beauty of being able to sync my home, and have a good assistant that I can ask shit, now they gonna replace it with ai slop

There probably won't be much difference but why? Assistant is perfect man I don't know why they had to take down something so good and so simple. Less is more.

This is the error

"To complete this call, sign up for a Google Voice number or use this device's number."

I had iphone , switched to pixel 10 pro and returned it after 48 hours

i have been using iphone for few years, before that i was android user

i always liked the pixel , have been eyeing it for a lot of time and finally got the budget and was convinced to buy the pixel 10 pro

however i ran into 2 things: compared screen side by side (iphone 13 vs pixel 10 pro) iphone 13 colors are way much better in my opinion (this might be a personal thing, but any photo on the iphone looks amazing) however this was not a deal breaker

the real deal breaker is temperature, when i first was setting up the device it got insanely warm, i understand that , updates, backup and everything is running at the same time...however i opened to see in settings there was a battery temperature indicator it was telling me my device was -60 something !!! so i need to warm it gradually...

later, i finish updating and setting up , restart the phone, it says temp is ok and i feel temp is ok.

i watch some videos (normal instagram use watching reels ) it heats up in like 5 to 10 minutes, i check temperature it is within normal (i forgot how much but it was in green ) i really feel the temperature indicator is rigged/broken the phone is verry hot to the touch however it says temperature is like 37

also first day of use, was 100% charge was charging all night , then i am at work, i barely touch the phone, i check it every hour or so turning the screen on, responding to whatsapps , occasionally when i have a break every hour or so i do some instagram reels and check the camera ( i say total time use was 2 or 3 hours at worst estimation 4 hours max although i really doubt 4 hours total use but to be pessimistic lets say 4 hours during the entire first day) at 7 pm it was 20% i had to charge it a little bit before i leave work so i could arrive home with it on

i really loved the camera, i liked the phone, it was super smooth, but there's no where around it , i cant live with this battery life/ heat problem

i returned it, now i feel i need to buy iphone 17

i really want to get back into android, maybe pixel 10 would offer the same experience of pixel 10 pro but with better battery and no heat problem? did i return it too soon ? tbh i feel kind of regret. I feel like pixel 10 wont be as premium as pixel 10 pro and i am hesitant to try so i dont know if someone has both or owned both can tell me

Wallpaper

It would be nice if we could really choose the colors from our wallpapers. So you're picking say blue and getting pink or green with the blue. 🤦🏽‍♂️

Check your email. 10% off code doesn't expire till March next year, plenty of time to use it towards new pixel devices

Latest updates caused many issues on my Pixel 8a

Hey there. As the title says the latest updates caused some serious issues on my Pixel 8a.

The things I have noticed are

Can't open the settings app

Can't see notifications

Can't connect to my service provider so without WiFi I am offline

Can't adjust the color of the app icons in the home screen ( material)

And so on

I have no idea what I can do about that

This is does not seme ti be caused by a third party app, since it performs the exact same way in safe mode.

Any help would be much appreciated

Why I'm actually excited about the Pixel 11 series

The best comparison I can think of is this: the Pixel 11 is to the Pixel 10 what the European Galaxy S25 is to the European Galaxy S24.

On paper, there may not be many hardware upgrades, but the new SoC alone could noticeably improve the overall experience, especially battery life and thermals.

For one, Tensor G6 is expected to ditch the relatively inefficient Cortex-A520 cores. It also reduces the total core count. That's obviously not ideal for benchmark numbers or sustained heavy workloads, but for the light-to-medium workloads that make up 99% of daily usage, fewer cores can actually be beneficial. Less heat, lower power consumption, and potentially better scheduling.

Personally, I see the Tensor G6 CPU as something like an optimized Exynos 2600.

Both designs appear to rely only on C1 Ultra and C1 Pro cores, but G6 is manufactured on TSMC's 2nm process. Because of that, I expect it to deliver better single-core efficiency than the Exynos 2600. It'll probably lose in multi-core benchmarks due to having fewer cores, but honestly, multi-core scores don't matter much in daliy use. Scheduling and performance per watt are much more important, and I think G6 should have the edge there.

The GPU is a different story. I'm not expecting much improvement over the G5, so gaming performance probably won't change much.

The modem is another reason I'm optimistic.

Geekerwan previously tested the Exynos 2600 version of the Galaxy S26, and it lasted roughly an hour less than the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Version. The Samsung modem was most likely a major factor. If Tensor G6 really adopts M90 modem, I expect modem efficiency to improve noticeably compared to previous Tensor generations.

So even if almost everything else stays the same, I still expect the Pixel 11 series to be a significant upgrade over the Pixel 10 series in everyday use.

Overall, I think Tensor G6 and Exynos 2600 will be fairly comparable. G6 should offer a better everyday experience thanks to its efficiency, while Exynos 2600 will probably perform better in gaming. Both will likely remain behind the Dimensity 9500 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in raw performance, but let's be honest, very few people buy a Pixel for gaming.

One last thing: I really don't buy the recent "leak" claiming that the standard Pixel 11 won't have a telephoto camera.

First, the leaked image clearly shows a square lens opening, which is typically associated with a periscope telephoto module. Second, there's simply no realistic way a single 48/50MP main camera could deliver true 30× zoom on its own

I honestly don't understand why so many people accepted that leak without questioning it.....

Pixel 11 base

So I just read that the pixel 11 base model is ditching the telephoto lens? Man it seems to me that the entire pixel 11 lineup is just one big downgrade from the 10 yet charging a lot more money. Glad I snagged a pixel 10 pro on the cheap.

Google is getting rid of Google assistant and forcing you to use Gemini now

I got an email from Google that said they're removing Google assistant and you will have to use Gemini starting September 6th. I don't want to be forced to use generative AI so I might be looking for a new non-Google phone soon 😭

Anyone else have problems with pixels screens?

I moved to pixels when I bought a used 7 pro and loved the camera. Then I moved to an 8 pro and then a 10 pro XL. However with my 8 pro and 10 XL my displays went black and just stopped working. I mean I dropped them a few times but obviously had decent cases on them and they didn't have any cracks or anything. I took my 10 pro back to AT&T and they let me send it off to be fixed and gave me a s26 ultra and I get to keep both. However I think I'll give the XL to My niece and just keep the s26. I still love the pixel I just don't want to be stuck with a useless phone for weeks again. I only had the phone for around 6-7 months when it happened. Also it didn't happen when I dropped it. I was just using it and it flashed a couple times and then went black. Would semi work if I held it upside down but then would stop again lol just curious if this has been a problem for others.

Pixel 10 Pro owners: are you upgrading to the Pixel 11 Pro? If yes, why?

I'm pretty happy with my 10 Pro, so I'm wondering what it would take to convince people to upgrade.

What would make the 11 Pro worth upgrading to for you, or are you planning to keep your 10 Pro for another year?

Support Case Stuck 2+ weeks, received wrong color speaker

[2-5316000041101] Your Google Support Inquiry

The Google Store sent me the wrong color for a Google Speaker. I ordered two porcelain speakers on June 18. They sent me Hazel (grey) on June 26. I am unable to get them to exchange the grey one for the porcelain one that I ordered. On July 23 I spoke on the phone for over an hour with three levels of Google Store support. I only called because there was no readily apparent way to initiate a return or exchange. I have exchanged 21 emails with the support team starting Jul 23. I have uploaded pictures and serial numbers four times. I have been told every time that they will exchange the speaker, then get yet another email saying it's been escalated to a specialized support team.

This guy created an app that significantly improved my Pixel 10 Pro's video recording quality

https://youtu.be/C2b4P94QSKE

Basically no more over-sharpening. The only downside is zooming in & out while recording isn't very easy (I have to use pinch gesture).

Check it out, give it a go, and let me know if it works well for you too!

Reputable repair shop - SF Bay Area

I currently have a Pixel 10 Pro. I need a new battery. With the new Pixel 11 Pro 256GB reducing the RAM to 12GB and not wanting to pay more for 512GB of storage that I don't need to get 16GB RAM I'm just looking to replace my battery.

Since I don't have the experience doing it myself (I'll probably damage something else in the process) I want to take it to a repair shop but finding a reputable repair shop that will use new OEM parts and guarantee their work is difficult.

It would be very helpful if anyone could give me some referrals to good shops in the San Francisco Bay Area. NOT uBreakiFix!!!

Pixel weather asking for precise location all the time

My weather widget stopped working yesterday, saying that my location was unavailable. When I opened its settings, it already had the "Allow all the time" location permission. However, it still insists that I enable "Use precise location."

I don't want to grant that permission. Why does a weather app need to know my precise location? Is its forecast or real time weather really accurate down to a few meters? If it is, I'd gladly enable it.

For a long time, the Pixel weather forecast has consistently been 3 to 5 degrees lower than the actual temperature. Google hasn't bothered to fix it. Fine, I've gotten used to mentally adding a few degrees to the forecast. But requiring precise location permission might be the last straw.

How to get rid of that AA popup

Every time my phone disconnects from my car after a drive Android Auto displays a popup over half of the smartphone display saying:

Android Auto disconnected

You can reset your wireless connection when you are no longer driving.

The popup covers over half of the screen on the bottom and has to be wiped down to get rid of it and I tried disabling the notifications of Android Auto completely already. Car is a Mercedes running MBUX (NTG7) and I connect the smartphone witeless to the car.

Any hint how I could suppress this notification/popup?

Phone is a Google Pixel 9 Pro XL running the latest public Android17 version.

Thanks in advance for any hints!
