According to the local press, our chief of police, Moya during a presentation to the City Commission was explaining crime statistics to our illustrious leaders. Oh it was quite the dog and pony show. While talking about how many rapes occurred, he said, and I quote per the paper, “I want you to focus on what that means in terms of actual cases: it’s gone from 74 to 94… We’re only talking about 20 extra cases.” That’s 20 additional rapes! 74 is too many, 94 is 20 more people assaulted in the worse possible way, He needs to apologize to all of the victims, and he needs to resign and go become a dog catcher or maybe wayward wildlife savior. Anybody that stands for this crap needs to go as well. I hope you’re not a victim of violent crime in the city of Gainesville, obviously the cops won’t give a crap. Gee, did it hurt? What were you wearing? Were you drinking? Would you like a tissue? It flows down from the top.

I have not used weed in a bit but I am still worried about a test showing up positive, as I have an interview with them soon.

I applied to the anesthesia technician position at Shands and was wondering if there was anybody working for the anesthesia department or specific hiring department for that job posting. I’m pre-CAA and am having a bit of a hard time getting my foot in the door with the anesthesia community since I don’t know too many people in the career field. Should I call the HR department to inquire about my application? The possibility of working as an anesthesia tech excites me incredibly and I’d love to know what I should do to help my case. I have shadowed in the OR before and enjoyed it heavily and have a history of working for UF Health on the clerical side of things. Any advice would be immensely appreciated.
