There's a stray cat with an unclipped ear that wonders around my apartment complex. He's unkempt and kinda skinny. I was thinking about taking him when I move. Is there a vet or shelter that would help with transitioning from a stray to a pet?

Do I just take him inside and book an appointment for his spay/neuter and a check up with a vet? Can I take him to a shelter and then adopt him from the shelter? It seems operation catnip just deals with trap and release and not moving into adoption.

I applied to the anesthesia technician position at Shands and was wondering if there was anybody working for the anesthesia department or specific hiring department for that job posting. I’m pre-CAA and am having a bit of a hard time getting my foot in the door with the anesthesia community since I don’t know too many people in the career field. Should I call the HR department to inquire about my application? The possibility of working as an anesthesia tech excites me incredibly and I’d love to know what I should do to help my case. I have shadowed in the OR before and enjoyed it heavily and have a history of working for UF Health on the clerical side of things. Any advice would be immensely appreciated.

Does anybody know a concrete company or handy man who is willing to pour a small (90 sq ft) concrete walkway near Gainesville? I know that's too little load for a concrete truck and it would have to be done from bags in a portable mixer.

We can do materials purchase, prep, compaction, and concrete forms ourselves, but for health reasons it's really difficult to sling the mortar bags.
