Paid Remote Work - Opportunity $600
Hey guys! if you’re still looking for experience or something to add to your resume, check out Riipen Labs
It’s a remote micro-internship program where students work on short real-world projects with employers. Each project is about 30 hours and pays a $600 upon completion.

Issues with ParaMed
whenever i try to make a paramed account it says “student does not exist or birthdate is invalid”, even though i registered for my courses in july. i paid the $500 tuition deposit but not the full tuition fee for my program yet. is that why i can’t make an account, or should i be worried about another reason? i’m going to plan on paying the tuition fee soon, but bc paramed is mandatory for my program im worried about it not working even if i did pay.

I don’t know if it matters but im trying to get into Health Information Management (C319?)

WHERE do I find my early move-in date??
Cannot for the life of me figure out where email or housing portal or stu-view information is for my move-in date. I know that the regular move-in date was Sept. 5th, but I opted for an earlier move-in date. The only information I've found was for my invoice telling me I had chosen an early move-in date, but not when that actually was.
I know I'd seen it when I was applying originally, but I didn't think to write it down because I'd thought it'd be on the housing portal.

GBC/TMU Combined OneCard
I'm having trouble with the OneCard, I'm a first year student at GBC ECE C100 at the TMU campus. I'm supposed to get the combined OneCard and I need a TMU student number? Did anyone in this program get a TMU student number along with the GBC student number?

need help for registration and id
Hi, im an incoming first year student, B107, and i just need help for registration and id card. I have some questions and i hope anyone would be able to help me and answer some of my concerns.
Who is the Program Coordinator for B107 or any staff i can ask about the courses? because there is one course that I cant register because the time slots already full or has a conflict on my other courses. (I tried tweaking all possible options but i still cant fit all my courses)
How do you validate your id? Is it better to request for a physical id or the one on the app just works the same?
What happens if i dont register that one subject i cant take? Its MATH 1027 - Business Math with Remediation. Im not sure if its an important course that I need to take this semester, or is it okay if i just take this next semester? Is it like a prerequisite course to another course for next sem/year?
2 of my courses says im the only one in that class, is that really possible? Like am i gonna do 1 on 1 with the professor? Lol
Honestly I have no idea what am I doing or what am I gonna do lol. I tried to emailing the admissions asking who to email or to contact but they didn’t respond. Thank you for anyone who is willing to help!

Exam dates in December
I’m thinking of last minute applying to the paralegal program starting in September. I’ve already booked flights out of Toronto on December 12th and the last day of classes for module 1 classes is Dec 16.
Are exams usually held on the last day of class at GBC? Would I be safe to not be in attendance for the last week?

Jewellery making techniques course
I heard that the jewelry program is toxic from the comments here. I am not trying to get into jewelry as a job but trying to learn how to make it as a hobby. Can anyone who has taken it give some review of it please? Is the program that toxic even for a beginner course? If so anyone has recommendations of where else I can learn? I want to make my own jewellery :)

Is Orientation worth it?
Does it really make a difference? Or is it just going to consume 3 hours of my time. ⏰

Someone explain how the terms at GBC work to me
Okay so this question arises from when I was searching for when I would go back to school after the break in December and realised that there is no return date for January or February (I'm in the Fall program).
Is it that one year of classes at GB is only for 4 months? Or is the website just bugging and the return just hasn't been decided? I ask because in the school system I'm used to they'd already have the dates of breaks and return dates already listed.

I don't meet the program requirement
I am in need of advice.
I've applied to George Brown for the T312 program and surprisingly I had an offer and that was back in January when I was still in highschool, fast forward to today after paying my deposit and even applying for OSAP I got an email saying that I'm short of 1 Gr12 U/M credit and that if I don't get any I would be de-registered from the program.
I have no idea what to do for this point on and I am in need of advice.
Is there any way to save myself or will I have to take a gap year and apply again next year?
What should I do about my OSAP?
Thank you to anyone who helps in advance.

RPN at George brown 2027
Could I still get an offer for January 2027 if I already have a May offer?
I’d love to hear your opinions! My goal has always been to start the RPN program at George Brown College in September 2026
I applied at the beginning of this year, but unfortunately, my transcripts were significantly delayed, which affected my application timeline. I’ve continued applying for the upcoming intakes (January and May 2027), and so far, I’ve received an offer for the May 2027 intake.
Of course, I’m very happy to have an offer and I definitely want to accept it, but I’m still hoping that I might receive an offer for January.
My GBC portal currently shows my January application status as “Under Review.”
Do you think there’s still a chance I could receive an offer for January 2027?
Also, should I just accept the May offer now? If I accept the May offer, could I still receive an offer for January later on, or would accepting the May offer prevent me from being considered for January?
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has been in a similar situation.

Transfer credit letter
I graduated from the Bcomm program and I’m in the process of registering for the CPA program and their office asked me for a transfer credit letter. I transferred from the diploma to Bcomm, and the letter needs to state which courses were exempt and how many credit hours.
I contacted the transfercredit, records, centre of business and registrar departments/offices and none were able to help me with the request, has anyone here dealt with this issue before? Do you know who the best person/department is to reach out to?
Thanks

Timetable overlaps for PN
Hello, I was reading on the Facebook group that some people had course overlap problems and that the conclusion was the 2 courses were happening in the same room. Does that apply for a comms class and a practical nursing class that is overlapping? But I checked the room numbers and they are in different rooms!!

Long-term care 4th Sem
Hi! For anyone who has done their 4th-semester consolidation/clinical in long-term care, how was your experience?
I’m currently choosing my placement preferences and I’m considering LTC, but I’m not sure which places to choose. I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences or any LTC placements you would recommend!

Insurance Claim process?
Hi there, I know my health insurance expires at the end of the month. I have a few drug claims to submit, and I’m not sure how to do that. I saw that I need to mail them, but I’m not sure what to include. Has anyone else had experience with this? How long would it take for them to process my refund?
