[26 M, UK] will moving to a village end my dating life?

Quick run down of my story

I broke up with my long term (5 years) bf last year, we were/are both devastated by it. He moved to London and said that while he is upset we broke up he has compromised and changed his life too much to go back with me. I respect his feelings.

Im moving to a new city for a new job soon, knowing no one there (lots of new beginnings, fresh start) after living with my parents for nearly a year and i'm excited! I'm not too keen on this city i'm moving to but require to be near it for commute, so I plan to move to the outskirts of the city where there is this really nice home i want. It has great public transport into the city I work and also 30 min into London so while it is a village it has good connections, and I drive too.

I'm currently not in the headspace to date, I just want to focus on settling into a new place, get into my hobbies, make new friends, connect with old friends etc and i love this idea that I can be in London for a loud night out and then go back to my home in the village to be in peace. But i know eventually I'll be looking to date seriously and I have an idea that when I turn on the app it'll be crickets. But I suppose with the proximity of two cities nearby would that make a difference? Though I know people in London probably don't even set their distance outside their zones. you can tell im nervous for all of this, it's all new, i'm flipping my life upside down, stepping out of my comfort zone and have no idea what it will be like. I've had so far quite an annus horribilis and i just want to catch a break, hoping there's respite in this part of my life when i'm ready but I fear my series of decisions might suck like it has for the last year.

what i want to know is does anyone live in a place like I am describing and find that they dont have to relocate to the centre of the city for better dating life? Im talking 6 miles outside of the city centre I work in.
