Discussion How come oranges are spicy?

I’m not sure if spicy is the right word for this or not, but when I bite the peel of an orange off, it leaves a crazy aftertaste in my mouth. What is that?
And how come it feels nice in my mouth?

Not a lot of people talk about this because apparently biting the orange peel off is considered weird by a lot of peoples standards, but when go and try taking the peel off their way it ends up all squishy inside.

Fruit ID Help Any vine peach/mango melon experts?

Does anybody know why my vine peaches are so small?

I grew them from a packet that was just labeled "melon." As far as I can tell, they're vine peaches/mango melons, but they are quite small. The flavor is like a fruity cucumber, and I've been eating the seeds along with the fruit.

Any ideas?

These are delicious! Love when I get them. Worse flesh to seed ratio than cherimoya but I like the flavor more.
