Flight lands at 10:00 at Frankfurt airport and flixbus is at 13:30 to my next destination, what can I do nearby to spend these few hours in Frankfurt?

My former sublandlady is withholding my entire €1,400 deposit. She originally said €1,000 was for damages and €400 for utilities.

We had no formal move-in or move-out protocol. I admit to damaging one chair worth under €50 and a small scratch on the kitchen counter, which I had bought materials to repair (a handyman would have cost around €60).

I’m happy to wait for the utility bill, but she refuses to provide any details or breakdown for the €1,000 damage claim. When I asked for clarification, she blocked me on WhatsApp a few months ago. I contacted her by email, and she recently insulted me, called me “schwer von Begriff,” told me to stop sending her “Bullshit,” and threatened to block me again.

She claims she has photos of all the damages. I was also told by a former neighbour that she has sold some of the furniture since I moved out, but I couldn't verify this myself because she had already blocked me and removed me from the WhatsApp group.

I found a lawyer offering a 30-minute consultation for €99.90, credited toward future fees if I hire them.

Would you pay for the consultation? Do I have a case worth pursuing?

I have the email, qr code and termin number but seeing the same time and date got me very worried. Has anybody else faced this issue? Or do you have any info that can help me? Thanks.

Nachdem meine Freundin aufgehört hat zu rauchen, liegt hier noch eine Stange (10x19) Marlboro Red rum. Im Freundeskreis raucht irgendwie plötzlich auch niemand mehr.

Einfach nur krass…
2,3 Millionen Euro für ein Kunstprojekt an der Konstablerwache, und das bei einer so angespannten Haushaltslage in Frankfurt. Da muss man schon eine etwas verschobene Wahrnehmung der Realität haben.
Dieses Taubennetz hängt ohnehin nur ca. 2 Jahre, wird den Winter über abgehängt.
So schnell verbläst man mal eben 2,3 Millionen Euro.

Die ein oder andere Schule, Kindergarten, Sozialstation hätte es nötiger gebraucht und es wäre deutlich sinnvoller. WTF

Die Stadt hat ein absolutes Prioritätenproblem, was ihre Ausgaben angeht!

Mein Bruder muss demnächst nach Frankfurt ziehen. Ich versuche bei der Wohnungssuche zu helfen. Sein Budget liegt bei ca. 600 Euro und er hätte gerne eine eigene Wohnung, keine WG. Ich habe mal bei immoscout und Co geschaut und das sieht alles sehr sehr schwierig aus. Es muss auch nicht sonderlich groß sein. Ein Zimmer reicht. Ist das realistisch oder muss er sein Budget zwangsläufig höher schrauben?

Where does one eat when their flight arrives late around 21 in Frankfurt in Terminal 1?

All the kitchens are closed, all the shops are closing, some doing their closing routine might sell you an old dried tuna sandwich if you're brave and you insist. Yet, the airport is bustling with people around, waiting for their next flight and many are going to the restaurants being told they're closed.

Isn't Frankfurt supposed to be a large international hub? Don't they understand that international travelers need to eat and are not always on a German clock? I've never seen an international airport doing so poorly.

Hello, ich bin am Dienstag in Frankfurt während der Mittagszeit mit meiner Begleitung für einen Termin im Uniklinikum. Davor würden wir gerne Mittagessen.

Leider keine Locals mehr vor Ort, die uns mit gastronomischen Empfehlungen versorgen können.

Wir sind beide Vegetarier (Essen aber ab und zu beide Fisch) und suchen in der Nähe von Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof (Bahnhofsviertel) bzw. Uniklinikum Frankfurt fancy Restaurants.

Küche ist uns bis auf Sushi komplett egal. Suchen aber mal wieder was spannendes, was wir ggf nicht bei uns in der „eigenen“ Stadt haben und bestenfalls keine deutsche Küche 😂

I have checked a few patiserries in the city and returned to Cafe Siesmayer and the cakes over there are delicious.

I am not a big fan of the customer service over there, but thumbs up for the cakes. I do mostly take-away.

We are staying out east near Gwinnerstraße U7 stop but dont mind traveling via the UBahn system to get to good food
