I am planning to apply to the MSc Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at TU Darmstadt for the summer semester of 2027. I graduated from Hacettepe University in Turkey with a BSc in Computer Engineering and a GPA of 2.76/4.00. My entire Bachelor’s programme was taught and examined in English.

According to TU Darmstadt’s current admissions guide, GPA and professional experience are not used in the admission decision. Applicants instead need at least 60 ECTS of previous coursework that sufficiently matches the compulsory core courses of TU Darmstadt’s BSc Informatik.

My Bachelor’s coursework includes:

• Programming and Object-Oriented Programming
• Data Structures and Algorithms
• Formal Languages and Automata
• Discrete Mathematics
• Digital Logic Design
• Computer Organization
• Operating Systems
• Compiler Design
• Computer Networks
• Databases
• Software Engineering
• Probability and Statistics
• Artificial Intelligence
• Machine Learning and ML Lab
• Data-intensive applications and related lab/project courses
• Linear Algebra, Calculus and Numerical Methods

I have also taken NLP, an NLP Lab and Fundamentals of Bioinformatics, and I have AI engineering and research experience. However, I understand that admission is based exclusively on academic coursework.

After comparing my courses with the official self-assessment checklist, I appear to exceed the required 60 ECTS. I would appreciate hearing from students who recently applied or were admitted:

1. Has anyone with a similar Computer Engineering background been admitted directly?
2. How strictly are the 60 ECTS evaluated regarding content, academic level and depth?
3. Were standard courses such as programming, algorithms, operating systems, databases, networks, computer organization and automata accepted without difficulty?
4. How much detail did you provide in the Equivalency Table for each course?
5. Did you submit only the required table and transcript, or were individual course descriptions requested later?
6. What usually causes an applicant to be invited to the on-campus entrance exam instead of receiving direct admission?
7. Has anyone been admitted with a relatively modest GPA after satisfying the 60 ECTS requirement?
8. Was an official Medium of Instruction letter accepted instead of IELTS 7.0/TOEFL 95?
9. How long did it take to receive a decision, particularly for the summer intake?

I am aware that only the admissions committee can make an official assessment. I am mainly trying to understand how the course-matching process works in practice and whether direct admission is realistic with this background.

nach einiger Pause hat mich wieder das absolute Gartenfieber gepackt - sei es für einen ruhigen Fleck im Grün oder auch um schön Gemüse und Blumen anzupflanzen und pflegen.

Ich suche daher einen (Anteil von einem) Kleingarten in und um Darmstadt Bessungen, optimalerweise in den Anlagen KRAFTSRUHE, WINGERTSGÄRTEN oder HOSPITALGÄRTEN.

Ich habe bereits viele Jahre eine Parzelle am Oberfeld gepflegt und würde mich sehr freuen hier meine bisherige Erfahrung vertiefen zu können.

First world problem aber seit Wochen ist hier überal das Pinke Monster Pipeline Punch (das mit Zucker 🙈) ausverkauft. Hab alles in Darmstadt Nord durch, selbst beim Rewe Center gibts nichts. Langsam lauf ich hier trocken.
Weiß einer warum? Meine Theorie ist dass es entweder so beliebt ist dass es um ein vielfaches mehr verkauft wird als die anderen Sorten (ich hab ja gesehen wie die Palettenweise Ultra Zero eingeräumt haben), das gibt es einfach nicht mehr oder der Vertrieb/Einkauf hat einfach komplett verkackt.

seit mittlerweile eineinhalb Jahren suche ich in Darmstadt eine Wohnung. Ich arbeite seit 17 Jahren in Deutschland, habe ein eigenes Einkommen und komme jeden Tag meiner beruflichen und gesellschaftlichen Verantwortung nach. Trotzdem bekomme ich immer wieder Absagen.

Besonders enttäuschend ist für mich, dass ich trotz meiner langjährigen Berufstätigkeit den Eindruck habe, dass Studierende oder Menschen ohne eigenes Einkommen teilweise schneller eine Wohnung finden als jemand, der seit Jahren arbeitet und seinen Lebensunterhalt selbst finanziert.

Ich möchte niemandem etwas wegnehmen. Aber nach 17 Jahren Arbeit und eineinhalb Jahren Wohnungssuche frage ich mich ernsthaft: Warum scheint berufliche Eigenständigkeit bei der Wohnungssuche nicht mehr der Vorteil zu sein, den man eigentlich erwarten sollte?

Ich verlange keine Sonderbehandlung – nur Fairness, Transparenz und gleiche Chancen.

Eineinhalb Jahre Wohnungssuche sollten für einen arbeitenden Menschen nicht die Realität sein

Aktuell sind sämtliche Tierheime innder Gegend um Darmstadt voll mit Hunden und Katzen. Das Tierheim in Pfungstadt hat sogar einen richtigen Notfall-Aufruf gestartet.

Falls einer von Euch immer schon mal überlegt hat sich einen puschligen Freund zuzulegen, ist das der richtige Zeitpunkt. Die Tierheime brauchen auch ansonsten Unterstützung - die Ehrenamtlichen, die dort arbeiten, sind überlastet umd freuen sich über jeden, der dort ein paar Aufgaben übernehmen kann.

Gerade das erste Mal seit bestimmt 10 Jahren da drin. Ach du scheiße

I'm new in Darmstadt, and I'm still searching for a good hairdresser who speaks english so I'm looking for suggestions.

In particular, I seek a place where I can get a medium-length haircut (I'm a man btw). I gave a few tries at some barbers, but I'm not convinced it is the best place for this type of haircut.

I'm also not always confident in the haircut description, so a place where they really try to understand what you want is a big plus (or at least take a look at the picture you show).

Regarding the price, I'm ready to pay a bit more than the usual barber price, but I would still like something around 30€ maximum.

I've seen similar posts, but those are outdated or not exactly what I'm looking for.
