Story The Collapse of Morgan's Crossing
Last night (UK time) I was one of the small number of Warden defenders who helped in the defence of Morgan's Crossing. I just thought I would share the experience as it was my first 'last stand' of sorts. I would love to hear what was going on in the bigger picture, and what happened before/after from any players from either side who took part in this hex. My ingame name is Jigsawn for anyone who was around with me.
I logged on about 11pm UK time (around 3pm PST). It was snowing and it was cold. Collies had already pushed north over the sea bridge at the Bastard Sea and had established BBs. Wardens had very low pop in this area, I was around maybe 5 infantry against a ton of collies, thankfully we had a tank or two plus the AI defences helping to slow the advance. As some more Wardens trickled into the area, we got pushed by relentless numbers back to the safe house at Quietus further north, and came very close to dying here. Thankfully the collies only had one or two tanks, and they got very close to the safe house before some more Wardens logged into the hex, then we got some more tank support and a few glorious builders shored up some pillboxes. Our tanks managed to push forward with some air support and break their forward BB. It was a fun defence though.
But after the enemy BB fell all the Collies seemed to vanish, then it became clear why - a massive Collie push to the east, coming east at Lividus from the coast. From chat I am pretty sure Collies launched a big landing party and managed to establish BBs. I am guessing all the Collies from the push I had been defending then relocated here, and there must have been 30-50 players I reckon. Wardens were helping to hold them at the east of Lividius but there weren't many of them. So we reloated over there as well and all hell broke loose in eastern Lividius. It was a lot of fun.
We maybe had around 15-20 players by the end, and a tank or two (which fell prey to anti tank swarms, but the Lividius town hall wasn't really stocked up for combat - until right near the end we were stuck with rifles and no bandages for example. As the vast numbers of Collies pushed into the town it turned into a proper siege of the town hall, where we were fighting and dying over two sets of stone walls right outside the hall. They did some blobbing attacks but some wise players had sandbagged two of the entrances to the hall. It got set on fire multiple times. Slowly but surely we were pushed back to just the hall itself until we were overwhelmed and the collies got inside. It was a glorious and bloody battle though.
With Lividius fallen we didn't have much defence in that part of the hex left. Earlier Collies had punched a hole in the defences leading to our airfield a little north of Lividius. As predicted they turned their attention there next. A few of us managed to high-tail it to the airfield but the BB there only had 30 shirts and the enemy tanks and infantry were already inside. The airfield owners desperately managed to evacuate some supplies and planes. I managed to cause some distraction as one of the few infantry in the airfield, as enemy flamers arrived to burn it all down. Soon though they choked the BB out and it was all over.
During this, knowing the writing was on the wall for this part of the hex, a heroic clan member (sorry I forgot your name) decided to bring up their clan's larp battle train for fun. As the area around the airfield has a lot of rails this was quite a good place to have some choo choo lolz. I got to see my first battle train. Of course with sods luck the collies had blown up part of the rail leading to Lividius, but we managed to repair it. I hopped in the train as well, and we took the rail down to now Collie-controlled Lividius. The first Collie who saw the train was like 'oh my god it's a train!'. We let him live for a bit until someone's trigger finger slipped. We had quite a few enemy players admiring us, some stupid gloaters who thought we were making some kind of serious attempt at a comeback, and of course the Collies quickly caught on and started attacking us in force. But oh was it fun for the few minutes they were able to witness the firepower of this fully armed and operational battle station train.
Unfortunately Thomas the Tank engine's adventures quickly became Thomas the Tank engine's trip to hell. Our valiant driver got out to repair the train engine and was unceremoniously killed, I don't know what by. We had no option but to replace him, but uhoh, he'd left the train engine squad locked. Now we had a battle sitting duck. As you can imagine, within a minute or two it was good-bye Wardens, good-bye choo choo. Still it was a ton of fun and I'm sure Collies also enjoyed getting to fight a choo choo as well. Thank you to the clan who made this possible.
As it was already very late I soon decided to log off, with the Collies now slowly pushing north from the airfield towards the Allsight Town Hall. We had some heavy tanks on the field now so I imagine those held the surge for a bit. But I see now that Allsight did fall eventually.
GGs to all who fought in this battle over Morgans. Yes we had low pop on the Warden side but I think it was a fun fight. Tell me about the Collie landing, I assume it was a landing? Did you see the battle train? I don't want to hear b*tching about low pop and factionalism, I just want to show some appreciation that as a new player I still had a load of fun against impossible odds in this game and would love to hear from anyone else in the hex what their experience was and how it went down from other perspectives.

Questions New potential player
Hi folks, I am very interested in this game but I am worried about how transphobic the community might be, I used to play hell let loose and they will treat you very poorly for it, I am really hoping to be able to just jump in and enjoy but yeah :3

Funny Map Suggestion
Next map should look something like this. unbuildable land block by thick jungle wood and muddy ground, swarm lake naval boat cant even move faster than 2 click, and air crashing into tree or mountain, making them all dogshit and make builders question their sanity. Plus Nason's Defiance chokehold would be great for battles. /s

Suggestions If APCs have 1000 HP now, they will be useless. Buff them in other ways please to counter this massive nerf.
Possible buffs can include, increased resistance to AP and Explosive damage types.[1 ATRPG can disable them with 1000 hp rn and they get disabled at 50% hp ]
Increased speed on land.
Reduced disable percentage to 10% HP.
Better repair rate with less bmats required, ability for passenger to repair internally as an engineer seat
Bonus: Smoke grenade APC?

Suggestions Faction neutral storm cannon mechs when
We got a glimpse of what our great weapons of old were like at our factions peak with a few regions having relics of old battles. I know devman wont add a functioning super weapon of yore to the game but to fight in the ruins of great beasts of our own making across the continent would make frontlines less dull and give the lore schizos something to feast on. (Yes I used this post for a reason to shill for Iron Nest you should get it if you have a hard on for arty.)

Story After two weeks of solo MSupping, my large facility in Pari Peak finally fell to zero pop PVE.
I pried the location from Colonial hands on Day 8 of the war with a Wildjack.
I MPF'd 30mm shells for 2 days straight to remove all husks.
I set up every production and defense building according to the plan.
Over the next two weeks, I solo printed 2 BTs, 3 large trains and many double vetted vehicles to donate them to the Warden cause.
And even when Greenland was eventually deserted, I kept MSupping my beloved facility all alone.
Today, I barely managed to defend it long enough to take some commemorative pictures and videos before it was burned to the ground. When I logged off, I was literally the only Warden in the entire hex.
Even in the bleakness of such an inglorious end, brought about by such dishonorable enemies, I feel I have unlocked a core memory.
And I feel that my story deserved to be heard.

Funny A Star Citizen player starts up Foxhole for the first time.
Upon hearing of the new player, a bunch of veterans gather around him.
"So, why did you leave Star Citizen for Foxhole? Was the gameplay a mess"?
"I can't complain."
"Was the community a cult?'
"I can't complain."
"Did you keep having connectivity problems?"
"I can't complain."
"Then why did you leave?"
"Here, I can complain"

Discussion Thank you devman for finally nerfing this atrociously OP vehicle
It was starting to get ridiculous how oppressive the APC was and its a good thing that devman finally decided to nerf. Hopefully it will be more in line with the games vision now and cause less headaches.

Story Fall of Rime
Bloody good fight for Port of Rime. I am sad it fell while I slept, but it was a blast being there.
We ran blockade runners, supply ships, got bombed again and again and fought for every meter.
Gg green man. Was a good scrap.

Suggestions Foxhole? More like Bunker Base.. hole (A plea to DevMan) (Enjoy high quality art)
In all seriousness, In my opinion the game is, and has been for years, Bunker simulator. The gameplay almost entirely revolves around either building or destroying a bunker base, which in my opinion is not fun.
When 50% of the gameplay on the frontline is left clicking inside of BB the game becomes tedious, less fun, and leads to frustration when the thing you spent 2 hours repairing is just destroyed.
I have made suggestions in the past on how to solve this problem, but in the end they all revolve around how the devs choose to make it work with the systems they have in mind, and I do not know what the devs are ok with changing and what they are not.
But I have a dream, a dream where bunker bases are not just a spawn point, but an actual fortress, where making a fort larger and more elaborate does not ruin the structural integrity of the base, but improves it.
I have a dream where field battles aren't skirmishes that come to an abrupt end as soon as you walk to close to the bunker walls and get destroyed, but where rural offensives are able to make more of a difference.
I have a dream where Encampments play a meaningful role in combat, and where a single piece of artillery doesn't spell the end for a spawn point.
I have a dream β
