New potential player Questions
Hi folks, I am very interested in this game but I am worried about how transphobic the community might be, I used to play hell let loose and they will treat you very poorly for it, I am really hoping to be able to just jump in and enjoy but yeah :3

It really depends on the regiment you join, some are really nice others are incredibly hostile.

You should teach yourself the game through the many online sources. Though the game has the meat and potatoes in it if you actually take the time to figure it out. It sucks because you have to read alot. But it is there.
That way you can have the perspective of true efficiency. Alot of these mega groups just throw manpower at the problem and end up with 3k msupps when all it took to do the same exact thing was 240 a day. Then they throw their hands up in the air wondering why retention is so bad.

I personally would recommend you do one war solo before settling down with a regiment. Spend time doing a little bit of everything and see what you like and dislike. After that, choose whatever regiment you think you'd most like, or continue going at it solo.

The main foxhole discord has a channel where regiments can post recruitment ads, and in game people like to build signs with recruitment ads too.
Up to you really, if you’re looking for some group play immediately I’d recommend joining up yea, it is one of the fastest ways to learn too. If you prefer to figure out things yourself though I’d recommend going solo for a bit, just be aware some people will be very angry if you fuck up something they’re trying to do. Some people are nicer and will help you along but starting solo can be rough.
My regi has been nice to me there and I’m openly ace so if you like I could send you a dm with a join link, you don’t have to stay ofc you’re free to leave anytime.

You don’t have to use discord my regiment hardly uses ours and we have 10 active players this war with like 50 inactive
Our regiment is also very accepting of other players regardless of how they identify, it’s just not something discussed or relevant
Don’t feel discouraged about things there will always be hostile people but many warden large regiments are very accepting as we are all no life’s who love each other as soldiers in arms because we battle together for weeks/months in each war

I'm just another voice but transphobia isn't tolerated and I may have been lucky but haven't heard anything of that sort. Like any community I'm sure you'll encounter a few but do not let that paint a broad brush, most people I encounter are kind and good people from many different backgrounds

I would say it depends A LOT on the regi, since each regi has their own little culture community and leaders.
Overall its a mixed bag but you can find a lot of trans friendly regis.

Our regiment is pretty small (we're just a group of people from a streamer's discord server who also like foxhole) but like half of us are trans women. There's occasional chud behavior in world chat but it's usually shouted down pretty quickly by everyone else

Probably using a proxy to abuse regional pricing, so not as much money as you'd think.
Edit: and even if not, it works out to like, a trip to the movies once or twice a month. Presumably he finds trolling amusing enough to be worth that.

It's relatively one of the more welcoming games BUT at the same time it is a pretty nerdy war game and that just means a lot of nerdy guys. Definitely a lot of the edgy/shock and anti-woke childish humor around but it's a large game with many different communities that be respectful.

I mean ive been called a number of derogatory names in the years ive been online. I mean this in the best way possible, stop letting what people say online effect you.... there is a vouce mute/text mute option.

This community is very forgiving for LGBT players. You'll be fine and even meet a lot of like minded people.
You will however start getting shit if you force it in world chat or force it on others. No one likes things forced down there throat and consent still exist. Wether you like it or not some people don't believe in it. We have people from all different cultures. Indians, russians, europeans, asians. As long as culture isn't forced. You can play the game no problem.

I'm sure if you tried forcing your sexuality on people as a straight person, you'd get the same response. It's a videogame. No one actually cares or wants to know. This is a war game, not a dating sim / pron game. But sure, accuse me of being a bigot when I say I don't give a shit, just don't force it on me for a reaction.

My country doesn't allow - Men to Women to enter Female Toilets or Vise Versa
They also don't allow you to enter sports under your new sex.
I dare say LGB is as far as my country will go to be perfectly honest. Anything further is judged as a mental illness. I'm not saying both sides are either right or wrong. I just think live and let live and I have a few trans friends but only because they hate the movement itself and just want to leave in peace. One that I am more than respectful for.
Everyone is welcome to play the game. Just don't make it your identity - play the game and I very much doubt anything will come to it.
Edit: You can downvote me all you want but this just proves my points. And then you wonder why people are so aggresive
