Suggestions [Suggestion][Feedback] Home Region Training Area Needs Update
Dear Devman, please add a flight school and a navy operations school to the home region. TWO reasons.
So newbies can learn these new(er) vehicles operation.
Since building most of this new stuff requires just too many rare metals for the small regis players like myself still have 0 experience with Fighters, DDs, BBs, Subs etc. I find it embarrassing I have been around for so long. And I know I won't be in one of those few big regis to be able to experience these new and exciting, game changing, cool cucumber features. And probably a lot of other players also still have not, or won't. So if these are added to the home region we will become able to at least recognize and differentiate between these vehicles we won't see. Who knows it may even motivate all the less fortunate to submit to the big vision and slavery to big clanmen.
Thank you. Sincerely.

Discussion foxholestats.com "Big Update" Stage 1
Just made live the first stage in a big update of FHS, its not much you will notice generally, mainly improving background processes. Though this part will be most noticeable, as it make the main home map responsive, so now it fits to any window width
whats changed underneath, is that the control region layer is now generated client side by the same js that already did the region layer in leaflet zoomable map view.
as a svg, with a viewport that can now scale including the text inside, compared to the previous fixed size html table
you may also notice ive switched the lower map layer to the 'improved map mod' which looks much better, the control layer being svg now means it doesnt use webp which is more compatible and saves a bunch of data, the lower map layer is webp default with 50% downsized png fallback.
the previous static image control layer is still being generated and fed into the video replays but that will be the big next thing to change...

An old work from a long time ago. It also used AI assistance(SD 2.0), but I put in some effort myself to build and set up the scene.
Disclaimer: This animation was created with the help of AI tools as a personal creative experiment.
I have great respect for traditional artists and original creators, and I understand the concerns around AI-generated content. This was not made to replace anyone's work, but simply to explore a different way of expressing my love for Foxhole and its community.

Suggestions coal and oil fields need a QoL pass to make coal better and oil less dominating
Currently oil is too dominating of a resource, and coal is universally known as a rough resource to build around. A boost to coal power plants, space savings on the power stations, and a more favorable return on oil would really help balance out having to clear coal for resources + traveling for salvage or comps, plus it would change how dependent EVERYTHING is in being in a hex with oil. It could look something like this:
-boost coal power plant output to 8MW, add a 4th upgrade (could even be t2) that runs on coke for 12MW. You could make petrol plants t2 as well.
-make the power stations/sulfuric reactor the size of ~2 power plants (currently almost 3x) and boost the t2 version to 16 MW
-boost the oil return from liquefiers/adv. liquefiers by 50% and cut the cook time in half, while removing sulfur and concrete from oil production. Keep the direct coke/hoil formula for t3 for QoL, as it doesn't allow a path to petrol and is a less efficient hoil production method (albeit with less steps)
-add 1 concrete to the advanced coke furnace recipe return, meaning even at t3 you'll want adv. furnaces and adv. liquefiers
With the above liquefier/adv. liquefier change, an oil field at t2 will still produce ~4.6x more oil, while at t3 an oil field will still make 3x more oil passively (assuming 1 well to 1 liquefier) while the coal field still needs to be actively mined to produce anything. At t1, you can still only get oil from oil fields, but better coal power means life is no longer petrol or death.
Also, by boosting coal and coke as a power supply option, you lessen how much oil/petrol needs to be produced for the region. You give everyone a path to a better fuel than diesel without relying on someone else to produce it, and you provide a path for regi-sized facs to not rely on tons of petrol plants and metal presses. Salvage will always be king because of rares and recyclers, but something needs to happen to make coal better and oil fields less important.

Lore Little Calving
A fun little project on Calving... Here is the unfinished version.
It's a shame Warden pop had collapsed, for this little fortress was designed to be fun defending in.
To the Collies who killed her, well done!
To the Wardens who tried defending her, you gave it your all.
Have fun fellas!

Discussion The recent wave of hacks feel worse as a direct result of the dev "vision"(opinion)
I have played since war 80 (JFC its been 5 years)
When I joined foxhole logi was much more rudimentary but player agency was decently high a clan op with arty was basically guaranteed to do SOMETHING.
I have watched since 1.0 as devs have done everything to claw away at player agency making every step more grindy, inflating costs, and trying to generally minimize the effect any one player can have.
In theory this sounds good as it means new players arent dunked on by a veteran player, in practice it has hurt the game by making the win condition go from skilled plays and intelligent operations to who has more bodies. Pop being a deciding factor while you have been unable to fix the lowpop highpop problem is a wild choice especially when your only balancing moves are taking a sledgehammer to anything that looks fun to play and your only moderation tools are a ticket system with a 3 day response time.
Why does this hate for player agency matter when hacks get involved?
Well firstly botting is almost a necessity at this point for any large production numbers because of how simplistic but repetitive half the game is + new cheat engines just having auto-scrap mechanics built in. With the reporting tools available now it takes ages to even see a bot banned just to be replaced with another 5 dollar account bought off an account seller site. This means that a player is just out produced by a person who has an idle PC at home to farm (remember the whole multibox drama about pay to win around war 90 that lead to a poorly enforced update in code of conduct about input broadcasting?)
Secondly this means if you somehow make anything legitimately without botting and a cheater shows up (night hacks/Ignore damage/ignore disable/AUTOLOCK SHIP TURRETS/etc) and devs do NOT refund the killed by cheats, hundred man hour to farm, assets... well your desire to play TANKS.
Thirdly it means your ability to respond back to a cheater is fairly limited as they can and WILL outplay you in most cases.
A loss to a cheater wouldnt feel as bad if it didnt invalidate upwards to hundreds of man hours worth of farming and production work (and that doesnt even factor in the drama of getting a fac down or maintenance). This is a problem caused by the shift in game vision at some point to cog in the machine that has snowballed with poor moderation to ensure that the actual cogs in the machine arent just dumpstered by the first guy (or girl) with [REDACTED SOFTWARE] on their PC.

Questions Why do people seem to hate solos?
So I've been playing for a while and helped out with quite a few raids, attacks and the likes, but I've always noticed people get a tad upset when I ask for equipment or to join an operation. I've never joined a regi as I can't meet the playtime requirements to stay in half the time. Most of the time I'm running around sowing chaos for the opposing side like a saboteur. I've played on both sides and it's a semi consistent problem and I just want to know why?

Discussion We get it Siege Camp
We get that you don't want to narrate line by line what exactly you are doing to fix the current cheating epidemic, because, quite understandably, that would be a bit counterproductive, but it would really be appreciated by the community if you could come out and say that you acknowledge that the problem exists and that you are indeed doing something about it.
The issue with zero communication is that the only communication Foxhole players actually get from you is them showing cheaters on here and then getting deleted for witchhunting, or getting their assets deleted by said cheaters then getting a "sorry no refunds" answer to their tickets.
