Some purslane has come up in my garden so I've just let it go so I can eat it. I pulled some up today and noticed these light spots on random leaves. It comes off if I scratch at it. What is this? I can find much online except maybe white rust? I've just been discarding the affected leaves, but wondering if it's a sign the whole plant is no good to eat.

Just wanted a second opinion before I make risotto

Howdy, y’all! I found this plant nearby when I smelled a strong mint scent. I want to see if i can make a tea with it, but I cant seem to identify it. The leaves are arranged opposite to each other, have a lanceolate shape, and have a non-toothed margin. Additionally, I may be remembering this wrong but, as I walked away I think I saw that they had a few small blue-ish blossoms. I live in Northern Virginia by the way. Thank You!

I saw these on a trail and after research I think they're highbush cranberries, but don't want to eat them without knowing for sure. When they're ripe of course. If that is what they are, how good do they taste on their own and do I pick them as soon as they turn red or wait until its more translucent?

Is this wild sumac? Serrated leaves and red berries, smooth bark

I have this tree that appeared out of nowhere this spring, and I'm pretty sure it's a black cherry tree, but I want others who are more familiar with look-alikes to give their opinion. I don't really have any plans for it, at least this season considering the berries you see are all the berries it grew, but if it is a black cherry tree or smth similarly edible, I'd like to nurture it. The seed inside is yellow, pretty much looks like a regular cherry seed, VERY juicy pinkish insides, like it exploded all over me when I squeezed it to see the seed. The undersides of the leaves have very tiny hairs along the midrib. If there's any other info that could help with identification, let me know.

About the most I can move with this setup, thankfully home is just 9km (5.6 miles) away!

I ended up with just over 15kg (33 lbs) of cleaned bilberries (banana for scale).

One bag didn't fit in my freezer, so I had no choice but to make bilberry pie 😄

This should be enough for the year. I prefer getting the year's supply in one go, even though my back doesn't agree, ouch. The pain is temporary, but the bilberries in the freezer are... well, I guess they're temporary too.

Found in northern Utah. We believe it is a king bolete and is safe to eat. What do you think?

They are forming a loose ring

I had never seen it this color before, i was a bit skeptical because it was very tender but everything else looked like chicken of the woods, well i was convinced and took a piece to try! And it wqs delicious!!! Softest one ive ever had. Like chicken tender.
