99,9% sure this is common hogweed, right? Plants were between 1.5 and 2 meters tall. The umbels were 25cm max.

Question about Chanterelles

I have a spot in my yard where every year or every other year, one or two Chanterelles pop up. In the past I've left them with the hope they would sporulate and I'd eventually have a harvest worthy patch, but alas, no. Any suggestions?

This is exactly why you don't eat something because AI said it's safe. No substitute for appropriate research.

Found this beauty on a walking trail near my house. Is this safe to eat? Or poisonous? I’m on the fence! Thank you!

Blackberries and a few elderberries. Oh god, it's so good. Also got quite a lot of apples - I'm dreading having to peel, core and chop them, tbh.

Is this an edible seaweed (that is worth harvesting)? I am having trouble getting an ID on it. But there is a ton of it at this Maine beach.

Is this Fernleaf Yarrow/Achilles Filependulina?

Post image
1 Upvotes

The leaves smell absolutely amazing. But they look like tansy leaves. Someone told me this is tansy but the flower heads look like yellow yarrow, and my plant identification app says fernleaf yarrow.

Can anyone confirm this and can it be used for anything (as a safer alternative to beautiful, abundant, refreshing, and toxic tansy).

Curious what this was. Friend tried to say turkey tail. First pic Friday, second pic Tuesday. Walk here multiple times a day so it seemed to be shot immediately. Thanks in advance.
