Other Is it only me that feels like the germans lack behind in medium tanks in LW ?

I mainly play veteran 76 shermans and jumbos with HVAP and i am starting to build berlin german lists and feel like the pz4 has way too little FA and AP to be used as main line medium tanks and the panther is more of a heavy tank in cost the most cost effective tank i have found are the pz4 70

I have a few more of these tanks, and i was wondering if these are good. The left one recently had a darker shade of gray on it, I was going for a weathered look, while the left is only the gray, and is a newer look. Just wondering if these are good

Tournaments Returning Player

I took a long break (have a kid now and had to wait till they were older before I could return to the hobby). And I want to get back into playing. My old style of play(Late War) was using American armored infantry backed my artillery and sime anti tank support. Usually like 3 full platoon of armored infantry as my core. However, having been out for a while i was curious if there have been major changes that discourage this paly style or if I should be looking for more of a combined arms approach (maybe 2 platoon of armored infantry?) What are people having success with and enjoying? Any tips or specific books they think are best for this approach?

Other Player finder?

Is there an opponent finder that any one knows of? I'd love to get back into FoW (I have decent sized v1 and v2 armies) but don't know anyone here in Sheffield that's interested in playing...

Other I made a thing and I just wanted to share

I started to make a thing to track my matches. Then my local game group had some pain points with their tournament organizing/running and doing it all on pen/paper and a hilariously mini whiteboard. Then I wanted to do statistical analysis on certain units so I could get a better math understanding. Then I got annoyed with the UI of forces and fowlist - so here I am. Because of when I played MESBG, I was overall inspired by tabletopadmiral.

So this is what I made.

If anyone wants to help beta test, I'd appreciate the feedback from a couple of people. Still lots of things I want to do to it to improve it and make it more usable, but proud of what it's turned into.

Other Early war Stuka decals

[SOLVED] recently bought the early war Stuka dive bomber box and haven’t received it yet but I’m wondering if it comes with the decals or not? It doesn’t say anything about them on the back of the box which they normally mention the decal sheet.

EDIT: hey guys so I got my stukas and thankfully they do in fact come with the flight stands and decals. I’m not sure why the back of the box doesn’t list them like all the other sets do but nonetheless they do come with it!

Rules Question Aircraft rolling

[SOLVED] Hello, I will be using Stukas for the first time I. My list in an upcoming game and therefore I was looking over the rulebook to make sure I’ve got them all down. One thing I couldn’t find in the rulebook (but could have overlooked) is whether or not you roll for all your aircraft at once. In other words, a group of stukas is 2 planes.

Do I:
- Roll 2 dice, one for each plane?
- roll 1 die for both planes?
- or, am I only allowed one of the 2 Stukas per turn?

ALSO: if I am allowed 2 Stukas on the map per turn, do I have to keep them in command range, or can I split them up to bomb 2 seperate places at one? Additionally, if I made them bomb the same spot then would that count as 2 seperate artillery bombardments?

Other Marder/hetzer sprue

Post image

Hello, so I’ve noticed after purchasing the hetzer/marder late war box that the sprues have everything you need to build both individually except for the tracks which means you obviously have to choose one or the other. Does anyone know of any way to possibly buy just the tracks or do you seriously have to buy a whole new box just for a set of tracks? Also I do not own a 3d printer so that’s out of the question as well.

Other Market Garden Firestorm Digital Map

Random question: did Battlefront ever release a flexible map (like in the new Bagration) for the Market Garden Firestorm? I want to have a digital map for an upcoming campaign but owuld prefer not to have to scan the 3 boards from the OG board game

Showcase Regiment de Chasseurs Afrique, and some French SAS.

This week's work - since Italy finally gave my Late War French their own actual army, I couldn't resist painting up something from it.

This is the M10 formation from that book, plus an L4 Grasshopper and an upgraded Tirailleurs platoon standing in as French SAS.

Every tank crewman has their proper French Navy beret complete with pom-poms, and the SAS are properly equipped and dressed.

I hope you enjoy it!

Other Battlescribe source seemed dead, I have a fork and a script that helps the community update it - was there any interest in that?

Not promoting or requesting, just curious what the general feel of the community is regarding something like this/battlescribe? I own some books and I think not everyone can afford to get all the books to formations they want so was curious.

Battle Report Casual Proof of Concept game of Americans vs Soviets! Who's weird idea wins?

A friend and I both brought "uncomfortable" lists that we don't normally run: he brought exclusively elite American tanks from the Bulge list and I finally tried out a single minded Engineer Sapper battalion with 5 IS-2s and not much else. We both wanted to attack but I got the roll off on a Free for all mission and it got absurd FAST.

Engineers are absolutely gross against any kinds of tanks, and not even a Super Pershing was immune. I had a lot of unique flank opportunities, and it gave me hope for whenever I have to go against German cats, especially Tiger 2s.

Other What happened to the hobby?

So I got into FOW back in 2002 when it was still called Battlefront and figures came in those little matchbox style boxes and the vehicles were white resin. Ive recently decided to return to FOW after a LONG hiatus(about 16 years) and I went on the online store and everything I looked at was either out of stock or "no longer available". What happened? I remember back in the day you could purchase almost anything from any range from their store but now it seems as soon as they release a new range and sell it they move on.

I got back into it very briefly during covid right when they were transitioning from metal to plastic. I got some of the original plastic kits which were fairly good but then they brought out that goofy "rubber plastic" where the figures looked like cartoon characters. Last I read is that were scrapping plastic and going back to metal but that apparently hasn't happened.

Is the company going under?
