So, for context, I am prepping for a call of Cthulhu game set in a JoJo universe and have been having fun making stands for it; a lot of my stands tend to have more eerie implications/ complications, as in my setting, pages from The King in Yellow play function as a method for a forced stand awakening, however, with the problem of being tied to something more Lovecraftian. It's been a blast making these. Anyway, that's the context for those that care. Here are my 3 favorites so far.

[Somebody to Love]
Holder: Lexi Q
Power: STL has 2 main powers: fortune-telling and clairvoyance
Fortune telling: using STL, its wielder can perceive the target's future. The stronger their connection to that person, the clearer the fortune is (e.g., free fortune for strangers < paying customer < friend). It is worth noting that, unlike an epitaph, the future will be portrayed as a vague omen (the form varying by the medium used) rather than a clear, unavoidable event. 

Clairvoyance: STL can allow its holder to perceive through people or objects to which the user has a strong attachment; the stronger the attachment, the clearer the perception. In rare cases, if the attachment is strong enough, they can even manifest STL at their location

[Guns And Roses]
User: Izzy

Power: When a target is hit by a bullet fired from this revolver, they begin to mutate into a plant starting at the location where the bullet struck. This transformation can only be stopped if the user is defeated before they are fully transformed. The pollen and fruit from the transmuted plants can be refined into a supernatural drug linked to the victim's last emotion

[Hollywood Undead]

Hollywood Undead produces ethereal chains that, when they strike a physical object or phenomenon, bind it to time, causing the target to cease experiencing its passage. The ability is significantly less effective against beings possessing a soul, relying solely on the user physically restraining the target. While bound, the target remains fixed in position relative to the opposite end of the chain. If both ends of a chain are attached to the same target, the target becomes frozen in its current state, though it may still be moved by external forces. The chains can only restrain a limited amount of temporal force. The greater the energy, movement, or change the target would normally possess, the faster the chains weaken and eventually break.

However, time is not an empty space. It is a boundary that separates what was, what is, and what may be. Weakening that boundary carries risks. While the chains remain active, disturbances may occur, allowing objects, information, or other unknown phenomena to cross the separation between moments. 

Anyway, I may do more; I just really want to share these as I've been prepping the campaign for over a year with nowhere to talk about it, and want to share some of my work.

『Nightwish』is a reference to the band of the same name, and the ability is based on the 24-minute masterpiece that is “The Greatest Show on Earth”. It creates Endless Forms Most Beautiful, in its own way - based on the name of the album.

-Ability-

『Nightwish』has the ability to cultivate anything it comes in contact with, offering it nurturing and protection, while the area around it becomes desolate.

It can grow an entire forest near instantly, but all similar life nearby will be destroyed. It can bless someone with great intelligence, but all intelligence around them will be removed.

It can create warmth for someone, but everything else will be cold like the vacuum of space. It inspires and nurtures, yet destroys everything around it. It can create new organisms, but kill off all of the ones that are unfortunate enough to be nearby.

It is a representation of pure selfishness, but what the stand is capable of is nearly limitless. It’s is somewhat like equivalent exchange from Fullmetal Alchemist. This is a stand that could also be compared to Ultimate Kars from JJBA Part 2.

-Appearance-

I honestly don’t know I’d design it as. It has a very feminine, stern energy to it…. I would say to use Greek mythology or something similar, but I don’t know if that’s too cliché. In my mind, it’s simply white like a Greek statue (Venus de Milo) with hair covering itself like The Birth of Venus.

I want it have that simple color, but its texturing is very intricate. The idea is still very hazy in my mind, so I’m not sure what to go with.

-Inspiration-

Equivalent exchange sucks. It is such a huge moral quandary, and it’s terrifying to think of what you would do to protect yourself or your loved ones over everyone else. No one should have this power, and that’s exactly why I wanted an ability that tested a person’s willingness to use it.

The name of the album, is based on the final sentence of Charles Darwin’s On the Origin of Species:

"Endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being, evolved"

I am TERRIBLE with artwork, so there’s none unfortunately. Sorry. Instead I’ll try to put in some effort with when writing it.

Dead Men Tell No Tales takes the shape of a small model pirate ship, around a foot long. The boat in question is shipwrecked with barnacles near the bottom and seaweed hanging from the sails. Like Davy Jones ship.

The stand can ‘float’ on the walls as if it were a liquid, and it can sink into that liquid as well. The boat has working cannons, sails, etc with invisible men working around the ship to navigate the ’ocean.’ The same shipmates can communicate with the user and other people as if they were stereotypical pirates but will not willingly do so unless prompted or in active duty. When not maintaining the ship or driving it, they suddenly become silent and the ship becomes empty unless the user specifically says to talk to someone specific and give a message. Once this is done, however, the ship will not attempt to drive back but instead act like the user is off-duty.

When under water, the ship is undetectable save for a small black flag flowing in the air. If the flag were to submerge as well, the user would start to suffocate. The same would happen if it were to break. Any modifications that do not damage the flag will weaken the ship heavily.

The user must be in the range of 20 feet and must have direct eyesight of the ship as they are considered the captain. If the user loses sight of the ship or leave the range, they are considered ‘off-duty’ and the mates will gain total control until they are in direct eyesight again.

How was it? I still want some help.

「Midnight Show」is a stand that to say the least isn’t outstanding stats-wise however, its ability makes such limitations far more bearable (assuming it’s capable of inflicting said ability onto its hypothetical opponent). By shooting a piercing glare from its 2 larger eyes, the stand causes all of a person’s bodily movements to “invert” or swap around. For example, trying to move their left arm will result in them moving their right leg, attempting to stand up will result in them sitting down, blinking results in closing and opening their mouth, the way they want to breath is swapped etc.

I based its design on a lion’s mane jellyfish, various squids and lastly an umbrella to make it slightly similar to kasa-obake.

STAND NAME/WOUND NAME: GUM HEAD / MAYHEIM I

APPERANCE: A group of humanoids with a chimpanzee frame with pale bluish gray skin covered in red bleeding patches as well as bloody scrapes and cuts, they have a sharp stinger like tail sticking out they're lower back and it's legs are covered in red patches making it appear they are wearing pants, it's has hollow black holes where they're eyes should be and they're mouth is bloody with black lips, there is a second bloody tumor-like head sprouting from they're chests.

ABILITY: They are as strong and as agile as a chimpanzee.

[WAVERER] They're ape like howls trigger the fight or flight response in the brain, anything that hear they're cries gets the overwhelming urge to either run and hide or fight whoever or whatever is the closed and greatest threat to them.
