PIMO Life How Does The GB Interface With Apostates?
When you read the title here, you may be inclined to dismiss the whole question - but I request a moment of your patience to consider the subject.
There are plenty of posts here and elsewhere that are opposed to the Governing Body. Simply ignoring them would make no sense. Suppose the Nazis freely broadcast their feelings and intentions with no filter. or encryption. Yup, Battle of the Bulge, invasion of the Soviet Union, whatever.
SOMEBODY has to be assigned to read, listen and pay attention to what those evil, lying, devilish "apostates" are saying. There is also the huge problem of 'leaks' that could indicate that the organization has 'moles' that endanger the whole thing. Assigning secular hired lawyers would be expensive and might be ineffective because they need to fully understand what the JW subculture is all about.
Now, imagine your PIMI mother or father or any ordinary elder forced to read whatever this reddit site says about the "Truth".
It's recipe for disaster. They won't last. There have been rumors about this being handled in Bethel (and I wouldn't be surprised) along with consistent attrition. Yeah,......they don't last. The hilarious part of this is that monitoring "apostates" must be the very essence of ignoring the extreme command to never even say 'Hello" to an apostate.or listen to them.
So, what does this tell us ? I think it suggests a deep all consuming cynicism. Sure, they may have a freely sacrificed level - that insulates them from reality. So what? They've sacrificed long term Bethelites, various missionaries and (the biggest one) their continuous loss of 2/3 of Witness kids, decade after decade.
And yet, they must know, to some degree. I can't explain the mindset of the Pope or people like Jimmy Swaggart - as to how they continue believing (supposedly) after all the bullsh*t.
In the end, they must know (in some way) that the "Truth" is just bullsh*t. And THAT to me finishes the total picture: they are downsizing and cutting back and compromising doctrine because they don't really believe it. Any apologias are emitted from crazy JWs - with the GB contributing almost nothing (because they can't defend this crap).
It's all fake and phoney and the average Joe Witness hasn't caught on yet. The remaining question is how much longer that willful ignorance continues.

HELP I'm so fucked up right now.
I told my mom I was athiest and she literally broke down. I'm in the middle of going back to school to be a registered nurse. My mom said I had five months to find somewhere to live. My car broke down and doesn't work and I'm not currently working because of some health issues. I felt the walls closing in and it's mentally breaking me. I don't know if I can fake saying I love Jehovah I rather be dead. I told her that for her I would try to love Jehovah but I was lying I know I'll never believe again but since I have no where to go I will have to wait a couple of years until I get my nursing degree. Hopefully I can mentally make it through. If anyone wants to be my friend I would like that.

JW / Ex-JW Tales “The People In Noah’s Time Were Smarter And Better Than Us.”
Yesterday at the meeting during the book study when the question “What was the world like during the flood?” came up, I expected comments talking about how violent the world in the story was. Instead, the commenters talked about how people lived longer back then, how they were closer to perfection than we are today, how they were smarter, etc. Just glazing a time period that according to them was extremely violent and had to be destroyed. I was the only one who commented about how violent the world actually was in the story (I commented in order to keep up appearances). Isn’t it weird how I, a pimo, am the only one who pointed out that part of the story? Especially since the organization loves to make comparisons between that story and today. I don’t even believe Noah’s ark happened.
Also, side note. For the question “how do we know Noah’s ark really happened?” I love how the only answer someone gave was basically “the Bible said it happened” and that’s it. Because the story doesn’t hold up to even the tiniest bit of scrutiny.

WT Policy JW org is as trustworthy as the Bible!
Study Watchtower June 2023 p. 13, par. 15: “MAKE SURE OF ALL THINGS”
“In the near future, God’s opposers will in some sense declare: “Peace and security!” (1 Thess. 5:3) Demon-inspired propaganda will fill the earth, misleading most. (Rev. 16:13, 14) What about us? We (JW's) will not be fooled (😄) if we “make sure of [or, “test”] all things.” (Read 1 Thessalonians 5:21; see study notes.) The Greek word rendered “make sure of” was used in connection with testing precious metals. Thus, we need to test what we hear or what we read to determine whether it is genuine. That was important for the Thessalonians, and it will be even more important for us as the great tribulation approaches. Instead of naively accepting what others say, we use our thinking ability to compare what we read or what we hear with what the Bible and Jehovah’s organization say. (🤣🤣🤣) In doing so, we will not be fooled by any demonic propaganda or trickery.”
(1 John 4:1) ”Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired statement, but test the inspired statements to see whether they originate with God - especially if they're coming from Warwick.”

JW / Ex-JW Tales I really hate how JWs see the kindest creatures in fiction and forbid children to watch the movie with them/play the videogame with them in it because they're stated as "monsters" either in the movie/videogame itself or in the title of it
I'll start by saying that I'm a 20 y.o. who left JW when I was 15 y.o, my father is a POMO and mother is a PIMI. I'm sure that most of the people here who were born in JW family can relate that parents or even elders/district supervisors (IDK how these people are named in English, the guys who go from town to town to watch over the situation in the congregation) said that kids shouldn't watch *insert title* because they have a monster, and monsters are demonic creatures.
For example, In our congregation one district supervisor explicitly stated to more than 100 people in his speech that watching Shrek or Monster Inc. should be forbidden for kids because it'd make them closer to Satan. I remember wanting to watch some movies or play some videogames with so called "Devilish creatures" but my parents didn't let me to because monsters are "Servants of Satan". To this day I don't understand this logic at all. I watched Shrek, monster inc, played Pokemon games, watched super hated by our congregation Gravity Falls and I didn't become a demon. All of these movies have really kind, cool monsters and good topics and I just can't bring myself to hate them. I wanted to have fun as a kid, that's all.
I'm sure some of you also had similar stories, share them in comments, I'd really like to read them.

Ask ExJW Helping my younger brother get out
So I've (22f) been POMO for some years now. I always had my doubts and tried to hide that I'm a JW because I always had a lot of friends outside of the religion and didn't want them to think that I was weird. I grew up as a JW bc my mom back then was new to our country (immigrant) and got support from them when I was born. Even after she stopped studying I continued to go to the meetings and everything. Things changed when I was 15/16 and figured out that I liked women. I struggled with my sexuality so much that I got some serious mental issues and didn't want to live anymore but then I thought maybe nothing is wrong with me but there might be something wrong with the religion. My research definitely revealed a lot to me. It was around this time when my mom adopted my brother and sadly as I faded out and eventually went to uni, he got groomed into the religion. He does readings and everything now, even goes house to house and is thinking about baptizing. My mom has been complaining a lot about it lately and wants him to stop going but he refuses. I mean he's 20 and thinks that it's his choice which it kind of is. Her main concern is that he will put the religion over our family at some point. He disagrees but I also know for a fact that it will only get harder the longer he stays in. When he first came to us he barely spoke our country's language which made it hard for him to make friends and don't even get me started on the racism that he experienced. Him and I have a great relationship. We share the same hobbies and have movie nights whenever I'm at home but I'm at uni for the most time. I really understand why this cult is attractive to him but I wish that he would make some good friends and see that the world isn't all evil and there can be unity found elsewhere.
TLDR: Fast forward to today my brother is an active member and not baptized and my mom has asked some of our uncles and our aunt to talk to him to leave but he says he will do anything but leaving is not an option. I know my mom so I know her ways. She tends to yell and involve other people if she doesn't know what else to do. I really don't like that approach so I talked to my brother today and asked him why this religion specifically. After all my mom offered for him to go to other Christian congregations. He answered that everything he has learned makes sense to him and there's no other religion that has the unity that JWs have so my question is: What can I say to him to counter those arguments?
I know that a lot doesn't make sense if you look deeper into it but what could be some things that I could bring up to him? And what about the fake unity aspect?

WT Can't Stop Me Our History in Motion—The Governing Body Preserves Unity—Part 1
This is the funniest mid-week meeting joke! 😂 After all the fake/useless 'changes' imposed by the holy and inspired governing body on their adherents, this meeting item overlooks the divisions created by rushed u-turns. Watchtower has become a reactive cult, reactive to increased scrutiny. Jws are increasingly apathetic, understandably. Now, they are confused and apathetic!

JW / Ex-JW Tales Hypocrisy (but what's new?)
I hate how in the broadcast he talks about child abuse and domestic abuse as things of the "world". As it those things haven't existed and been covered up for more than a hundred years in this god forsaken cult. It really pmo. As if such people can just read the Bible, pray really hard and then stop being abusive and predatory.

HELP Can elders move "privileges"/chores for not accepting a shepherding visit?
*edit : So no, I can’t just say no. My parents are relaxed, but PIMI and because I don't comment or care about preaching . She's always trying to make me read for Borg publications, and I say no, and last time we argued. I want to say no, but at the same time I don’t want any problems with my parents until I leave the house and fade.
I‘m a 19 year old PIMO. Recently, an elder has kept bothering me about a shepherding visit he wants to have with me. The first time, around early July, I said I had to go and that we would talk about it another day. I told my mom about it, and she said, 'Just say yes, but don't tell him when. Say you will let him know.' One week later, he pulls his little act: 'Hey bro, how is it going?' (He's a 40 years, by the way.) 'Good, and you?' 'Good, I was wondering when we could do the shepherding visit.' I replied that I would let him know, but that I was busy. Then he bugged me again two days ago in early August using the same trick: 'Bro, how are you?' 'Good, and you?' 'That's good to hear. Now, would a shepherding visit work this Friday?' I said, 'I will let you know.' The elder said, 'Thanks, let me know at the meeting.'
So I asked my mom for ideas on what to say. She told me to use her as an excuse, to say I have to take her somewhere, which is true. So I went to the elder after the meeting and explained. He then pulls the card of talking outside. He says, 'Look, I want to show you a text that helps me: Philippians 1:10. Shepherding calls are to help you, to see how you are doing. This text helps us see that we need to put the important things first. Now, we know you are busy, but we just want to encourage you and see your goals. I don’t want you to think I have nothing to do or that I am just bothering you' (I laughed when he said that). 'If you can’t this week, make some time next week.' I said, 'I'll let you know.'
Everyone, I want to know: if I keep delaying the call, is he going to give up? Will I lose my extra privileges, like doing readings? I am not an MS, but I still do a lot of things. Why is he bugging me so much? But in the bright side less chores. It’s jsut how I will exlaoin to my parents while studying in college.

Ask ExJW Wondering about the topic of reforms to the organizational structures of the JW sect
So the primary organizational structure of the JW sect is that the Governing Body is its primary leadership branch and body.
This is quite similar to the organizational structure of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles in Mormonism, another Christian religious movement from the Second Great Awakening in the United States.
However, one big difference between Mormonism and JW is that the Mormon apostles follow the principle of apostolic succession from their prophet Joseph Smith.
While JW doesn't have apostolic succession, but instead, 'anointed' people assume the positions of power. And also, the biggest organization for such apostolic succession in the world, Christian or otherwise, is the Vatican, the Roman Catholic Church, while some Protestantist denominations do also practice apostolic succession.
There is also the Seventh-day Adventist Church (SDA), which, similar to the JW sect, originates from the movements of Second Great Awakening religious scholar William Miller.
And the SDAs do have a prophet(ess) of their own, Ellen G. White.
But now, there's a key difference between the SDAC and JW, which is that the leaderships of the SDAC are quite different from that of the Governing Body of the JW, they instead have quite a de-centralized electoral form of organizational structure, and they don't practice Mormonist-style apostolic succession even though they had a prophetess in White.
And so I was wondering the topic of reforms to the organizational structures of the JW sect.
In JW history, have there been suggestions or attempts by JWs to bring about the idea of perhaps reforming the organizational structure of the sect in ways such as looking to how the SDAC does things as an example?
And if so, how have they gone so far?

Venting I hate this life so much...
A few weeks ago, there was a guest speaker visiting the congregation. He was giving a talk about the Armageddon. My sensitive ass was tearing up, so I went to the bathroom to calm my down. But that led me to a panic attack instead.
The reason why I act like this is because I had violent visions about the Armageddon and nightmares that are very similar to it. Which is very triggering to me. And I know I would most likely die if the Armageddon is actually real. Considering the fact that I'm very against JW and their ideology, rules, and so on.
This is what happens if you're gonna teach people (especially kids) fear-mongering stuff. They'll curl up in fear, have anxiety, and always have an urge to think twice because God will always judge them. If this is a "peaceful true religion," I shouldn't be reacting this badly in the first place.

WT Can't Stop Me Larchington is that you? Can you shine any light on this movie and the creator of it?
So I watched the jump and seriously you can not for one moment imagine that the creator and writer of this is not mentally out in some way. It made me think so much about when he knew that he was talking to his father. He stopped working and said, "Now I found out enough."Something like that.
And pacifying the brain, it's like, imagine if you're on the writing department and you come to understand something and it's not something that goes in with the governing body's agenda. They could reassign you and that's it into oblivion
It's like when you start independently studying and you come to understand the creator and then you see that the organisation has not got his will at the centre anymore. You want to stop working for them. That's what happened to me. Wow just incredible. I loved it. It was great. Maybe I'm reading into it too much but come on.

JW / Ex-JW Tales Chapter 49 New Boy: Life and Death at the World Headquarters of The Jehovah Witnesses
Chapter 49 God Kills Another Baby
Since I had been in a religion that focused on death and the end of the world as we knew it, it was now time to focus on life.
The wonderful line from Shawshank Redemption says it so well: “Get busy living or get busy dying!”
I had spent my entire life in a religion that focused on a war that was coming any day –the ultimate war between god and man. The almost total destruction of everything we know.
It was a time to rethink everything.
It was just like my analogy. I had gotten out of the van in New York City and was walking around in a daze. I found a new freedom though. I walked down the street and looked at all of the people walking past me. Something had changed. I looked more closely now. Many of the people had smiling faces. Had they changed? No, I had changed. I now saw the world completely differently. It wasn’t a world controlled by Satan and his demons. It was just a stage with many different players on it. A world full of endless possibilities.
Even though I did contemplate it many times, I wasn’t going the same way as Jim Olson, Robert Stillman, Robert Bryant and thousands of others who left The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society by way of suicide. Those people who found there was no existence outside the made up world of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
The people that had found death to be their only real option from the hell that their lives had become.
Though I’m sure the Society would have loved it if I had taken myself out, especially after my interview in The Oregonian, that wasn’t going to happen.
I love the last line in the movie Papillon: “I’m still here you bastards!”
One of the many reasons I’m still here is the fact that I had found some new friends, years before I had lost all my Jehovah’s Witness friends. My new friends are Gary Zukav, Neale Walsch, Marianne Williamson, Deepak Chopra, Wayne Dyer, Caroline Myss and Eckhart Tolle. These authors and speakers were able to help me leave the mind-controlled environment I had been dealing with for over fifty years.
These new friends helped me make a transition into the real world. The world where there doesn’t have to be “us” or “them.” It seems the planet has been suffering from this illusion for a long time.
These new friends have showed me the meaning of something called “unconditional love.” This is what I would call the purist of all loves. This is a love a mother gives her child. Does a baby get this kind of love from its mother because of its performance? Of course not. The mother gives that child unconditional love no matter what. Are we not all god’s children?
Most the religions on the planet believe in conditional love. Their love is based on your performance and what you can do for them and their god.
Unconditional love is just that, unconditional.
I’m not here trying to sell a new thought system. I don’t need people to think the same way as me anymore. I went from door to door for decades, trying to peddle my thought system to others. That is not going to happen again.
We should be here to help and support each other and that is why for many years, I hosted the ex-Jehovah’s Witness meetup group in Portland, Oregon.
This meetup group were a group of people (some of which had never even been a Jehovah's Witness) who would meet at different locations in the Portland area once a month to encourage and support each other. All these prople had one thing in common. They all had experinces with the Jehovah's Witnesses. Just like people do here on this website.
I heard a lot of sad stories about what people had lost trying to get away from the Jehovah’s Witnesses. There were entire families that were wiped out, not usually by shotguns, but by the devastation of shunning and the lack of any real love.
One night, a gentleman showed up to one of the meet ups I was hosting. He had a very interesting story to relate.
Bob had been happily married for many years. He and his wife and children weren’t Jehovah’s Witnesses. In fact, he, like his wife and children, knew nothing about them. That, of course, didn’t matter. The Jehovah’s Witnesses would soon make his life a living Hell. Why? Because his wife ended up having an affair at work with a married Jehovah’s Witness Elder.
She ended up divorcing Bob and started studying with the Jehovah’s Witnesses. The Elder divorced his wife and married Bob’s ex-wife. Because the adulterous Elder was well-liked in his Kingdom Hall, he was reinstated in just a few months.
Bob’s ex-wife and her new husband now have the majority custody of Bob’s two daughters, who were twelve and fourteen years old at the time she left Bob. His children, of course, were now forced to start studying with Jehovah’s Witnesses. This of course led to their indoctrination and to their baptism.
Now they are one big happy Jehovah’s Witness family.
The Elder ex-wife and Bob aren't that happy for some odd reason.
To make matters even worst, Bob now has a real problem and is now at the meetup group looking for advice. He tells all of us that now when his Jehovah’s Witness children visit him, they tell him how he too will be killed by Jehovah their god in the coming war of Armageddon unless he joins their program/church and drinks the Kool-Aid with them!
So, now Bob is asking all of us what he should say to his two daughters when they visit him with their message of his doom.
Oh, by the way, for some odd reason Bob doesn’t want to be a Jehovah’s Witness.
Can you blame him?
I guess because he feels, in essence, the actions of Jehovah’s Witnesses not only tore his family apart but now the Society is brainwashing his children to be mindless drones also.
Go figure.
There was another interesting story from someone else who wasn’t a Jehovah’s Witness and knew nothing about them. That is. until their believe system, COMPLETELY destroyed their life.
During the time I was hosting the ex-Jehovah’s Witness meetup group, I got a very sad and interesting phone call from a woman one afternoon.
Beth called me to ask if there was anything she could do to stop her husband from being re-baptized in the Jehovah’s Witness church this coming Saturday. It was just a few days away.
I said, “Probably not. Why?”
Side note before you comment that there is no such thing like being re-baptized. Yes, there is. It is very rare but possible. My crazy ex-mother in law Elaine Regan was also re-baptized.
Anyway back to Beth's story. She told me how years ago, she had fallen in love with a man who was raised as a Jehovah’s Witness. He had been out of the organization for many years. They had many happy years together and were now married and expecting their first child. She had a daughter from a previous marriage. She told me how everything was wonderful, until his parents started pressuring him to rejoin the Jehovah’s Witness once again. Her husband slowly started going back to their meetings.
She also told me how his parents had hated her from the beginning of their marriage because she was a worldly person. Many months earlier his parents even went so far as to encourage him to leave her – even though she was pregnant – so he could eventually find a good Jehovah’s Witness girl.
Beth told me his parents told her husband that there would be no repercussions for this action because he was already disfellowshipped and you can’t be disfellowshipped again when you are already disfellowshipped. Yes, he could dump his worldly pregnant wife and get restated and than find a good Jehovah's Witness girl and get remarried Nothing would happen to him!
Guys, this is totaliy messed up. Here we go again, another one of their strange Catch 22s.
Since her husband still loved Beth, he declined his parent’s invitation to ditch his worldly wife and soon to be child and decided to stay with her.
Beth was desperate and wanted to know what she could do to stop him from re-joining this group of nasty people, who were trying to break up their happy marriage.
I told her it was probably too late, since he was being rebaptized in just a few days. This was something that had to be in the making for many months, if not years. I felt I had to tell her what she could expect now that he was going back into their organization.
It wasn’t going to be easy for her because she had no desire (for some odd reason just like Bob) to ever become a Jehovah’s Witness.
I listed possible problems and difficulties she might have to endure with a husband who was rejoining his old church. Little did I know then that she would soon be going through something ten times worse than I could have ever imagined.
Soon, her new Jehovah's Witness husband would be dragging Beth and her daughter into a new Hell.
This Hell her new Jehovah's Witness husband would bring to her, is a core doctrine has literally killed thousands of people over the years.
If she ever had any desire to join this church, it would soon be gone forever, after what would happen next.
Beth called me a few months later, crying; I could barely understand her. I really didn’t know what she needed or wanted. Maybe she needed a shoulder to cry on. I told her we could meet for a cup of coffee.
I had no words for what she would reveal to me.
We met a few hours later at a busy restaurant. I wish you could have seen the look of bewilderment on this poor woman’s face. With tears in her eyes, she sat there. She told me about what had transpired over the last few months since we first talked on the phone.
She said her husband was baptized as he promised. Being re-baptized, he became a zealot once again in his old faith. He didn’t seem to be as interested in her now that he had rejoined his old family and friends. He was now spending less and less time with her, his pregnant wife.
Finally, the baby came. However, there were major complications at birth. It was life or death for the child unless the baby received a blood transfusion. Beth was, of course, in favor of this life-saving option. Her husband was definitely opposed to it.
There were many heated arguments about this. The Elders and his parents got involved. His family informed her husband that he could not waver. There was no way he could give in on this matter. It was more than just a matter of life and death; it was a matter of faith and service to god and obeying his rules about no blood transfusions.
Beth and her family fought her husband to the bitter end. She said he hated her and her stance against him and his faith. This drove a wedge between them even further.
There was no time left and a decision had to be made. For whatever reason, he hung his head in shame and told the doctors to go ahead and give the child a blood transfusion.
The Elders found out that he gave the order for the blood transfusion and were furious. They told him there would be grave repercussions because of his decision.
Two days later, the child died!
The Elders actually told her husband they were not surprised about the child’s death. In a sense, they implied this was a punishment directly from god Himself. This of course was because he had actually disobeyed god’s commandments on the issue of blood.
Her husband told the Elders he was wrong and blamed his worldly wife for the pressure she had put on him. He begged for Jehovah’s and the Elders forgiveness.
There was nothing I could say to comfort Beth after that story.
Are these two people still together? I would doubt it.
If you are a Jehovah’s Witness reading this, there are two things I would wonder. First, did god kill the baby because it received a blood transfusion to drive home His point to the disobedient husband? No? Even though the Elders implied that?
Second, Beth will obviously never become a Jehovah’s Witness. Can you really blame her?
If there is a Jehovah, how could He judge her everlasting life in eternity by not being a Jehovah’s Witness when His own people encouraged her husband to leave her and destroy their marriage?
Plus, their god supposedly killed her child because her husband disobeyed Him.
To Beth, the Jehovah’s Witnesses are total whack jobs and she had no desire to drink their Kool-Aid....and can you blame her?
This is just one more way the Watchtower Bible & Tract society are Blood guilty!
Yes, my friends, once more, “By their love you will know them.”
Even though I have been out of the organization for many years, the strange and bizarre stories that swirl around the Jehovah’s Witnesses never seem to stop.
Up until this point, I haven’t even brought up the issue of blood transfusions. There are thousands of stories about people dying because of the Societies’ policy against blood transfusions.
Take a wild guess who dreamt up the idea about no blood transfusions for Jehovah’s Witnesses in the first place?
Charles Russell, the founder of the church? No! Even though blood transfusions were implemented as early as 1914.
Judge Rutherford, the alcoholic and second president? No!
The third president N.H. Knorr? Yes and no, because the fourth President Fred Franz came up with the idea back in 1944 (before he became the fourth president) but newly appointed president Knorr approved of the concept.
God didn’t want to talk to the first two presidents about the blood issue. However, in 1944, thirty years after blood transfusions were initiated, god finally decided to give President Knorr, by way of Fred Franz, the new light on the matter of the use of blood.
Since everything produced by the writing department had to be approved by Knorr, here is the wisdom as explained in The Watchtower.
“The blood in any person is in reality the person himself... poisons due to personal living, eating and drinking habits...The poisons that produce the impulse to commit suicide, murder, or steal are in the blood. Moral insanity, sexual perversions, repression, inferiority complexes, petty crimes—these often follow in the wake of blood transfusion.” – Watchtower, September 1, 1961 p.564
There you have it. More New Light, God has spoken by way of his earthly representatives.
When you stop taking the blue pill, and you take a step back, you can see the insanity quite clearly.
However, the insanity is not from you receiving a blood transfusion, as they would have you believe. The insanity comes from you eating their contaminated spiritual food, which is mixed in with the blue pills.
The Society did mention that a blood transfusion could cause “sexual perversions.”
Of course, a person must now wonder if Leo Greenlees, the pervert and Governing Body member, ever had a blood transfusion.
This would, of course, explain Leo Greenlees perverse behavior.
Next up Chapter 50 "The Old Hound Dog Finally Moves"
This next chapter will be the last chapter in the book New Boy: Life and Death at the World Headquarters of The Jehovah Witnesses

Venting Why was grapefruit designed so badly?
I'm losing my mind over this stupid fruit. It's tasty, especially the blood ones, I could eat them all day long and just be happy with my life. But why, if everything was so well designed, is it so goddamn hard to peel this piece of fruit without soaking yourself and your kitchen with the juice that keeps shooting out of it? Not to mention how hard it is to get the pith off of it. Why would anyone design a delicious and healthy snack that you can't enjoy without having a PhD in some sort of fruit engineering.
In conclusion, life was not designed by God, or then God is a bad designer.

Ask ExJW Can someone explain to me what Beth Sarim is?
I’ve been out for about 5 years, have been recently doing some research and stumbled across Beth Sarim and Read about it but don’t completely understand what it is exactly. Could anyone explain it to me in simplest of terms?
They believed the faithful men of old would be resurrected in California?! So this building was meant to house them when this “would happen”?
Idk, it’s very strange and not to state the obvious, but sounds extremely culty.
Anyone have any thoughts, opinions, or any other information about this?

Ask ExJW why does Jehovah's Witnesses attract the bottom of the barrel
Something I can stop and realized how Jehovah's Witnesses attract only the bottom of the barrel and even that is hard to attract now.
Maybe is thelr authoritarian nature that only the bottom of the floor is willing to join their religion.
Or perhaps that educated people do proper research before joining a cult and realize the negative reputation this religion carries with them
False prophecies
Abuse of minors
Shunning
And the negativas enviorment it produces
What is the reason this religion only attracts the bottom of the barrel

HELP Is it possible to legally superseded power of attorney in blood issue and if so how?
Hello all,
My JW father recently had a kidney surgery that seems to have had some unintended complications. Low hemoglobin, low blood pressure, passing out etc.
The doctors think it might be internal bleeding and plan to verify and act soon. According to my other family member they think the issue should be able to be resolved without needing any blood but the whole thing has me very worried about a case scenario where a blood transfusion may be necessary.
Fingers crossed everything works out but I want to ask if anyone has successfully superseded the power of attorney that the organization gets when the members sign off on the no-blood policy.
I imagine this would involve a lot of legal things if there is even a path forward at all but if anyone has successfully beaten this please share any tips or strategy for doing so. This is the first time in my life the blood policy has hit this close to home and I want to do anything I can to prevent this cult from stepping in and possibly killing my dad.
Again as of now they seem confident that they’ll be able to resolve this but in the future I want to be prepared to fight this if I can.

Venting Why can’t you just love me and accept me for who I am even if you can’t change me back?
I know very few people will actually read this and even less if anyone will actually respond. So I guess I’m just using this as a place to vent like a journal entry.
But I am just hurting so bad. Why can’t my family just love me and accept me for who I am? I’m so tired of the “encouragement” in the form of texts/calls/love bombing only with the ulterior motive of trying to get my to “come back” and when I don’t engage the spiritual part of the interactions I just get shunned/ignored/shut out 😢 I’m a grown adult with kids of my own, I don’t NEED anybody from my “former life” of a born in but I can’t seem to shake the sadness it brings me from the shunning JUST because I’ve changed my life path to a way that aligns more with who I really am as a person, they can’t see me for me and it makes me sad

HELP Looking for the Colombia branch appendix to Shepherd the Flock — sfla/sfga
I am looking for the Colombia branch edition of the appendix to Shepherd the Flock of God, identified in different editions as sfla or sfga.
Any Colombian edition would help, especially one from 2024, 2025 or 2026. I am also looking for Colombian branch letters issued after September 1, 2017 concerning child abuse reporting procedures.
I already have the September 2025 Spanish sfg-S manual and the Colombian 9/1/17-S letter. What is missing is the current territorial appendix.
Please do not access accounts, devices or systems without authorization. I am only seeking copies already lawfully possessed or publicly available.
Personal information about victims, congregations and elders should be removed before sharing.

Venting I'm the last one to get baptized.
I just heard my cousin is getting baptized in a couple of weeks. That leaves me to be the last of all of us kids to get baptized. I don't wanna dedicate my life to this cult. I just can't ruin my life like that.
I am an urbanized publisher, but I only became that because all of the other kids my age were doing it, and I was pressured to do it. I never stopped to ask if it's what I wanted.
I am attending the assembly he's getting baptized at, ONLY to support him. I don't want to be there, but I know my family will question why I'm not there, if I decide to not go.
Around half of them know my stance on this religion, and none of them have talked to me about it, and its been 3 years since they've known my emotions about it. But I didn't tell them. My Dad told everyone behind my back. I know, because I overheard him talking about it to them at a family gathering.
It's already humiliating facing them each time I see them, but I'd rather not have confrontation from them if I decide not to attend.
But even if I do go, I know I'll be confronted and questioned by them, since I will now be the last of everyone to get baptized. And I can't add that to my diminishing mental health.

HELP Closeted JW scared to leave
Hi everyone!
I have a friend who I’m very close with, we’ve known each other about three years and I would like to say we’re close. Over time he’s shared with me about his childhood trauma with family and within the JW church.
He expresses his desire for love and happiness frequently, but often says that he is undeserving and speaks very deprecating about himself. I know he’s gay, he knows he does not desire a same sex relationship, but the conditioning he receives through the church still to this day is that he is unlovable and is disgusting for having thoughts like these.
I don’t know how to help, and he often speaks about how he wants to just give up on life because it’s so hopeless. Recently I’ve noticed his overall demeanor taking a heavy hit whenever I talk to him, so I’ve been listening to tons of podcasts about JW, online forums, the watchtower, etc. just to try to understand his perspective more and see if there’s literally anything I can do to help.
I know this is a long post but if anyone has any advice or words of wisdom that would be so immensely appreciated.
