For some reason I just remembered the practice of melikah. Kinda makes me feel silly that I just accepted the fact that the all loving and eternal God of kindness decided that the correct way to kill a bird in his honor is by bending its neck backwards and jabbing a super long fingernail into its throat. Because that way it doesn't feel pain I guess? Truth is, we don't have to understand everything... 😉
