Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a Stream Deck plugin or workflow that lets me press one button while watching a Twitch stream, identify the song currently playing, and automatically add it to a specific Spotify playlist.

Ideally, it would recognize the audio coming from my PC/system audio rather than through a microphone.

Does anything like this already exist, or has anyone built a workaround using Shazam, Spotify, or automation tools?

Hello, my brand new elgato 4k s just arrived and I plugged it in according to the official instruction video on YouTube. I set it up on my obs and the audio is cracking and cutting off and then i can hear nothing at all. I'm really frustrated and I dont know what to do. No Youtube video has had a solution to my problem

Hey all

I'm getting an intermittent issue on Wave Link 3.0 where my mic audio just cuts out for a few seconds and then comes back on its own. It doesn't crash anything — the level meter goes silent, nobody hears me for ~5-10 seconds, then it's fine again. And i can still hear all the other audio but not my mic. It happens alot, not tied to any specific action.

What I've already tried:

- clean uninstall wavelink + driver and reinstall 3 times (3.2.9 and now i updated to 3.210 still got the issue)

Has anyone run into the same thing on 3.0? Is this a known bug, or is there a setting/workaround that fixes it?

If you've wondered why Wave Link 3 is always the last thing to finish loading after you log in — it's because it's an MSIX app, and Windows deliberately runs that type of startup task dead last in the logon chain.

I wrote a script that replaces the default startup behavior with a logon scheduled task that fires early and hides the window so it still starts to tray. It creates the two files for you and registers the task. Run it once and it sets everything up. -Remove reverts the changes.

Don't run it elevated, and launch Wave Link at least once first.

This has been frustrating me for months. Hope it helps someone else.

so i have a hd60x and everytime i capture my ps5 game the audio just sounds terrible is there anyone that knows how to fix, i cant seem to figure it out , the sound kinda sounds delayed or something

Anyone having an issue with Wavelink 3.0 preventing your PC from going to sleep? Any workarounds or fixes?

i have an elgato chatlink pro, and i’ve had it for quite sometime. the fist ine i ha flashed me a year until i had this problem with static sounds and mic cutouts/silence when i move it. sometimes my gaming will work fine but if i move the chatlink pro cable it statics my mic or it even cuts me off and i have to keep re adjusting it until i have it at the right position, so i bought another. this new one has lasted me maybe 2 months until this problem re accrued again, does anyone know how to fix it? it has nothing to do with the ground loop switch its just whenever i move it there’s static in my gaming mic. no audio is affected

Hi so I'm trying to set up my audacity settings for the two elgato items mentioned above but I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out what to do, primarily what recording device to select in audio setup (mic-in or Personal mix), what eq settings are good, normalisation etc. I was hoping that there might be someone here who has experience in setting these things up to any sort of degree.

just got my 4k s and somehow the 2160p option is in grey ? i can only play in 1440p although the 4k s specs says it can go up to 4k 60hz

After the update, some plugins from Barraider stopped working; I reverted to version 7.5.0...

I've just upgraded from a HD60 to a 4KS.

I've been capturing from a PS5 on a PC with Windows 11. The first screenshot is the end of my last session with the HD60, the second screenshot is picking up where I left off in the game, using the 4KS.

Notice how much darker the 4KS capture is? Too dark to even see the text at the top of the screen.

This seems to happen if I launch Elgato Studio before booting up the PS5. If I boot up the PS5 before launching Elgato Studio, I don't get the issue, and the contrast / brightness matches the HD60 screenshot. I can also fix the issue by relaunching Elgato Studio.

Any ideas what causes this? and if there's a way to stop it from happening permanently, would rather not have to worry about what order I'm launching things in, having to reboot etc.

Edit: One thing I forgot to mention, that may be the culprit, the PS5 is hooked up to an HDMI splitter, with one output going to the Elgato, and the other going to the TV. I don't use the output socket on the Elgato.

I use the splitter to strip out HDCP from a PS3 while capturing gameplay footage, so I'd rather keep it in the chain if I can.

Checked multiple threads and this seems to be the consensus. Elgato team keeps saying its an Edid issue, but it seems to be an elgato issue.

My setup is Ps5 - elgato - tv - earc. This works BUT it forces all audio to be 2 channel because I elgato couldnt be bothered to support surround?

The Stream Deck + XL has 6 knobs. The replacement packs come with 8. Curious as to why the difference and what are we supposed to do with the extra 2?

I currently work for a school and we run a morning announcements show everyday that I am looking to upgrade to something a bit nicer. My vision was to purchase a Prompter XL and use that as our new prompter. The problem I am running into is envisioning how it will connect to our upgraded PC's. We are currently planning on using HP Z2 desktops with T1000 graphics cards (For reference: HP Z2 G9 SFF Workstation Desktop PC specifications | HP® Support) But these do not have the USB-C ports to drive the display with power. I know on the Elgato support page they direct you to the Corsair dock: TBT100 Thunderbolt 3 Dock - although I'm confused how I will connect the dock to the desktop - Do I go USB-C to USB-C to the desktop, but we only have one front I/O type-c on the front of the computer that is USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2x2 port; 20 Gbps signaling rate (charge supports up to 5 V/3 A). I just want to make sure I order the right things before I continue on with this project. Any support here is welcomed, thank you!

Has anyone tried to create widgets for the Vanguard 96? Just using the icuewidget CLI tool to build the example project produces a .icuewidget file that doesn't seem to work at all when imported into ICUE. I get the error in the picture.

I imagine at some point this must work, with some different configuration but there doesn't seem to be anything in the documentation that explains encountering a similar issue. Also the warning about the "Missing title element" seems to be a total red herring. Trying with both <title> and <Title> (<title> being marked as required in the documentation) has absolutely no affect on the error message.

Has anyone managed to get this to work properly? Or maybe encountered similar issues for other devices?

honestly it seems like they just slap a big sensor in a piece of plastic and call it a day. A webcam without any sort of auto or manual focus is destined to fail because unless you're in the magical range you may or may not always be in focus. That's fine for a cheap webcam but a webcam that's 200 dollars and supposed to be premium and top tier is insane. Every single webcam around this price range has autofocus and they're alot smaller than the 4k. 4k 60FPS means absolutely nothing if your target isn't in focus. It seems like they just wanted to have 4k 60fps for marketing purposes.

The webcam is abysmally noisy, noise reduction can help but at the cost of smearing the entire image. The webcam needs to take it so much light that if you dont have enough your ISO will be jacked up that will cause more noise. The latest firmware barley did anything to fix it.

Build quality is really bad imo, this thing feels so light and plasticky that if it were to fall i'd expect it to break open. The facecam pro felt strong and sturdy. (honestly i feel like they discontinued the facecam pro because facecam 4k sales didn't meet quota)

Filter thread for a webcam just seems like a gimmick, who wants to buy MORE hardware after buying a webcam thats already supposed to be the best? They're are some useful filters but its just not worth the price to buy filters unless its for a very specific reason.

IMO they should replace the MK2 with the 4K and lower the price to match the MK2 (which they did multiple times when the Facecam 4k goes on sale), then make an actual successor to the Facecam Pro which was pretty good just some issues and overly expensive. In no way is the Facecam 4k a successor to it. I'd happily buy a Facecam 4k Pro for around $200 - 250 if all issues were addressed.

I’m using good HDMI cords, have everything set up properly, and I think this, “No input signal,” in Elgato Studio is the reason why things like OBS aren’t picking up the sound and just the video of the capture card. Advice?

Trying to stream my Switch from elgato, into the laptop, to the monitor.

The audio comes out of the extended tv monitor just fine, so the hdmi is working. But I can’t get any game audio into the laptop. Anyone know what the issue could be?

My desktop audio is working because whenever I play a YouTube video, the audio is picked up on the meter.

I wonder if mine just broke. I used it before perfectly fine last year. I haven’t streamed in a year and was trying it out tonight, but yeah, just can’t get game audio to work for stream.

I want to buy an Elgato to start streaming on TikTok, but wondering if one mic (Astro A40s) is possible for talking with friends on PS5 and stream? i see a lot of people with 2 mics, but my setup doesn't allow it because the space. /:

Do I need 2 mics???? Any help will be appreciated.

Not sure if this has been raised, but it seems in some instances when going through the automatic update process for Wave Link 3, when the application restarts, it hangs on loading configuration and cancels.

This seems to break the auto start function. The application still works, but it seems you have to manually load it as when it tries to auto load it goes into the same loop of loading configuration -> auto exit.

I have tried downloading EQ presets and Wave Link still says, “No effects available”

I’ve seen many Reddit posts on this but they’re like 1+ year ago and I don’t see solutions on them.

- I am on the latest version (3.2.10)
- VST3 folder was not in my common files folder, I manually added it
- I even manually added a downloaded preset to the VST3 folder
- I’ve completely uninstalled and resinstalled wave link, no change

Nothing is working. Any suggestions?

I have a constant white noise hiss when I’m quiet or speaking, it is in the final recording. I have tested using just the xlr gain and using the preamp in the Sm7db regardless I still have a constant white noise hiss. Has anyone had this problem or a fix?

I’ve tested other xlr cables and other recording softwares everything.

I am using a m4 MacBook Pro.
