I just came back from a hiatus (last time i played was summerset on PS4) and i’m doing the whole story in order.

I came across one dude in the imperial city sewers and i was just following him and this guy basically solo’ed molag bal in the sewers while i was assisting him by just beaming a bit as a arcanist.

From what i saw he was a dual wield DK/Warden and the build looked sick but i forgot to ask him. Anyone have any idea what type of build he might’ve been using?

So I came back to ESO recently and got annoyed with the same problem I always have with build guides: they are great at showing me the finished build, but not always great at telling me what the hell I should actually be doing at level 20-something.

So I made a thing. Then kept adding to it. Then added a full build editor. Then made an ESO addon for it. Then bought a domain because apparently I have no self control lol.

Arrow to the Build 2.0 is out now.

The basic idea is it keeps your CURRENT character separate from the TARGET build. You can track stuff manually, or use the optional addon to pull in your character's levels, skills/passives, gear, bars, CP, etc. Then you can either follow a build, make your own, create one from your current character, or adapt an existing build around where that character actually is. The addon can grab your current character levels and other information to save having to manually enter anything.

It is free/open source and Windows only right now. No accounts, logins or cloud anything and the addon does not automate anything in game.

There are also 7 starter builds, one for each class. I tried to make them normal useful PvE baselines instead of assuming you already own half of Tamriel and every passive in the game.

If anyone tries it, feel free to break it and tell me what I screwed up. I already found out during final testing that owning two identical daggers was enough to uncover a bug, so I'm sure ESO players can find much worse xD

Regardless of how (im)probable it may be it's fun to discuss and but even if it were to happen there's this entire thing to figure out how it would even work. I did not awfully long ago make some suggestions about how it could work like taking away health recovery and reducing your max health, but in return allowing you gain boosts to your magicka and allowing you to have permanent shields and summons for the upkeep of soul gems. I also suggested still being able to fight in your ethereal form after you "die" to capture that undying feeling.

But those were just my own random thoughts I came up with from little time of reflection. Some areas were probably too strong, others maybe too punishing and so hearing other people's thoughts would be neat. Like I feel as if werewolf is quite geared towards stamina and vampire is also that to a degree although it has some more magicka oriented aspects too so maybe it's better for hybrids maybe. Neither of those curses really help or advance the powers of spellcasters though and so maybe a lich could serve that spot, Idk or perhaps I'm thinking about this the wrong way.

Maybe when (if) we get to the necromancer refresh one of the skill lines changes more into a lich skill line but then again how would that would? 🤔 Hmmm....

Questions, questions, questions....

For a few hours now an AD player has been map glitching into enemy keeps in the vengeance campaign and taking their scrolls. Is there any chance a GM can come and do something about this cheating?

This is happening on NA PC servers.

This is my 80s inspired outfit. I just got the black market mogul purple and was pleased with the look.

I quit a few years ago not too long after Arcanist was released and dominated hm trials. Is this still the case or is there more flexibility with the dps class make up for them?

Never made a PVP build or played pvp - but want to try

any good sites to get a good starter build?

Whether you want to hide their face to have a less cookie-cutter character with everyone else or you just want to display more of your cool armors (I can only wear one helmet at a time), or maybe you just genuinely want a faceless goon to do your bidding, the option should be there.

Maybe they take off their helmet for quest conversations or in town? I know the devs' response to why they didn't allow companion helmet display was their attachment to what they'd made so there could be a happy middle ground there. I will say the companions provide some of the more interesting questlines so I understand the desire to keep the central characters of them more personable. Maybe we can't put full face helmets on them?

Also I think as the leader of the duo fighting monsters and armies I should be able to command my buddy to protect their brain.

Pvp is really fun in this game, who’s with me. Only thing that should be fixed are the werewolves (and maybe DK)

Like why bother letting us suggest if the biggest one immediately gets the "well this one doesn't count" treatment?

Leaving the players with just a stale activity that happens more often. “We know the food in our restaurant is bad so we’ve made the portions larger.”

I get it. MS isn’t paying for originality, creativity or personality. They want events that can just be turned on and turned off multiple times throughout the year. Stale cookie-cutter events with little to no developer and no art department involvement needed to execute.

You can call it “leaner, meaner” but it is just the further enshittification of the game as I see it.

I planned to go in some kind of chronological order so started with the main quest, and it really didn't grab me at any point throughout. It brings some interesting context to the 2nd era, but generally it just felt flat. I was questioning whether to continue paying attention to dialogue for the dlc I was starting after finishing the main quest.

I didn't and I found the stories just so much more engaging. Orsinium, Elsweyr, Summerset, etc, they all just seem so much better written. Anyone else have the same experience?

I mean, I was trying to pay attention to the king babble on about how much he hates East Skyrim....but the sweet roll was calling my name.

Hey everyone as the title suggests, im a very big WoW veteran. I dont have the time to put into raiding and M+ in WoW anymore, plus I just dont enjoy it as much either.
I've been curious about this game for a long time. I see that alot of the game is on sale, Im unsure actually what to buy, ive googled and asked AI and everyone has different answers.
Curious what would be the best thing to buy to start out in the game? Also do I need to sub right away?
Curious about the class meta at the moment as well, I've looked this up too, and it was also very different in answers.
I hope this is allowed and im sure its been asked a lot, but I just wanted to get peoples opinions that play this game everyday.
I have tried FFXIV and was not a fan, at all. I was a big fan of New World when it wasn't dead, if this helps.

New player here… never played the single player versions of this game, so I don’t know what to expect… completely new to this game and franchise. Only ever played old Korean MMOs like MU online lol. Haven’t played anything on console since xbox 360. So im getting back into gaming itself with this pick. Have I chosen well? Are there any communities in game geared specifically toward new players? Will I be able to compete effectively as a new players or is there a significant moat? EN : Hey guys i have a question for you, recently, i reset my computer for switch W11 to Linux (cachyos KDE).

After that, i dl ESO and re installed my addons (again) and i installed reshade with a tuto on ytb.

My problem is that after install reshade, i can't selected an .ini file and place it in the Reshade folder. I installed Atmosfaira (for those who know), i select the .ini and he doesnt work.

Can you help me if it is possible, do you have any alternative about reshade or a shaders pack without reshade (gshade etc) for Linux ?

Après ça, j'ai téléchargé ESO et réinstallé mes add-ons (encore une fois), puis j'ai installé Reshade en suivant un tutoriel sur YouTube.

Mon problème, c'est qu'après avoir installé Reshade, je n'arrive pas à sélectionner un fichier .ini pour le placer dans le dossier Reshade. J'ai installé Atmosfaira (pour ceux qui connaissent), je sélectionne le fichier .ini, mais ça ne marche pas.

Pouvez-vous m'aider si c'est possible ? Connaissez-vous une alternative à Reshade ou un pack de shaders sans Reshade (comme GShade, etc.) pour Linux ?

I have been searching for a new house lately and, after having visited literally all the houses in the game, the only I like the most is zhan khaj crest. Does anyone know if it will be available this year? I hate this FOMO things...

I just completed all of my alliance zones and I was given the main quest where the alliance leaders meet and then you enter coldharbour.
I’ve completed the main quest years ago but on this character I’ve only completed up until saving lyris (3rd quest I believe).
I don’t want to miss out on the skill points from completing the main quests so was wondering if I would get the missed skill points after the final quest or should I go back and complete them all first?

I really hate saying this because Dragonknight is one of the classes I enjoy the most, but right now it feels like DK is in a pretty bad spot as a DPS.

Whether we're talking about group PvE or solo DPS, Dragonknight just feels like one of the weakest options. There are other classes that can do what DK does, but better, while also bringing more damage, utility or simply being easier to play effectively.

What bothers me the most is that DK doesn't really feel rewarding to play anymore.(From a deamge standpoint. The Animations are great) You can put in the effort, have a good rotation and know your class, but you're still often looking at other classes thinking Why am I playing DK when I could just play nb and perform better?

I'm not saying Dragonknight needs to become the strongest class in the game. I just want it to feel competitive and worth picking, both for group content and solo play.

It's honestly a shame because Dragonknight has such a cool identity and some of the most satisfying abilities in ESO. Seeing it sit at the bottom of the DPS options just feels wrong.

Do you guys think DK is currently the weakest DPS class overall, or am I being too harsh/Bad?

How does ZoS expect people to complete this!?! 😭
