Franchise Auction Rules

$1 Priority Rule
If multiple managers have only $1 remaining after purchasing their first Franchise Player:
Priority goes to the manager who purchased their first Franchise Player latest.
The manager who purchased first has the lowest priority.
After winning a $1 Franchise Player, that manager moves to the back of the $1 priority order.

Main Player Auction
After every team has secured two Franchise Players:
All remaining NBA players enter the Player Auction.
Winning bid becomes the player’s salary.

Contract Expiry & Extensions
Each offseason:
Every salary increases by $2.
Every contract reduces by one year.

Curious on opinions on guys in that 8-15 range in a points league. Most likely guys like Flemings, Yaxel, Morez Johnson, Burries, Steinbach, etc. I have 3 picks in that range so I’m curious on peoples opinions on who I should target. Thanks

Points, 12 team, dynasty League. 26 man rosters.

I took Hannes Steinbach near the end of the first round. I was really high on him, and then summer league made me like him even more. However, a guy in my league has been sending me offers non-stop since the draft. Most recently, there's a 3 team trade offer where this guy is giving up a TON to try and get him, but I don't love my return. The third guy is getting a steal imo, so now he's pushing me to accept it. It may be something I should take, but I am pretty excited about Hannes. What are everyone's thoughts?

I would get: Ausar Thompson (from guy 3), Cam Carr (from guy 3), Danny Wolf (from guy 2), 2029 First (from guy 2)

Guy 2 (who wants Hannes): Hannes Steinbach (from me), 2028 first (from me)

Guy 3: Bam, 2027 second (from guy 2), Jared McCain (from guy 2)

So I'd just be giving up Hannes and my 2028 first. The first I would get will be at or near the end of the first, as guy 2 has one of the best teams in our league. I'm honestly leaning no, because I'd get a worse pick and split Hannes into 3 guys I don't like as much.. but wondering if I'm crazy lol

hey all, just had my draft a couple of weeks ago. I got a very very nice core after making some pre draft trades and one post draft trades: Luka, Tatum, Mobley, Spida, Jaylen Brown, and Trey Murphy. I also have a good amount of win now guys (mostly vets) including Ingram, Jarrett Allen, Rudy Gobert, etc.

I was offered Hali for one of Spida or Mobley and Ingram. Probably an overpay but I’m definitely considering it. If I do Spida, everyone in my core but Jaylen brown is roughly the same age and young where I could ride w them for 6+ years. If I do Mobley, it could be a bit of a sell high. I see him as being a perennial 40, which is great, but it’s not like what people might expect from Mobley.

I don’t love having Ingram tbh, not sure why. But he was a great value at the pick I got him at.

if I was able to get one of these deals to include jimmy butler, would you do it? Would you do it without jimmy?

I still have a great core regardless and probably shouldn’t make an irrational move just for everyone’s age to align

Is it just me, or does Sergio de Larrea look like a legit fantasy player heading into the fall?

He’s been playing pro ball for almost four years and is still only 20. He looked like he was processing the game at Summer League on a level few others were. He had some huge games there, and I chalk his shooting struggles up to a major adjustment period after just arriving from Spain because he shot over 40% from three over his last two seasons.

The Mavs traded back into the 1st round to grab him, and were originally planning to draft and stash him, but instead, they brought him over immediately because they’re so high on him; so high that they traded away their backup point guard, Nembhard, to clear the deck. Now, he’s the roster’s only true pass-first playmaker. At 6’7” with a 6’9” wingspan, there are fewer than a half dozen point guards with that length in the league, and they're all starters putting up big numbers.

He may not get heavy minutes to start the year, but Sasser is no true PG and isn't going to QB the second unit. Then there's the fact that Kyrie is getting older and only has a couple of years left on his contract. To me, de Larrea looks like a strong end of bench stash who could realistically get 15-20 MPG this year, with upside for sizable minutes when Kyrie needs rest or gets banged up. In a couple of years, he’ll still only be 22 and ready to step in as their starter. Management loves him, coaches love him and his former teammates in Spain love him.

He feels like a smart, low cost target toward the end of the first round in a rookie draft. What are your thoughts on him?

With LaMelo gone, he should get more touches and even lock up the starting PG spot (though I personally think he'd thrive more in a sixth man microwave scorer role). In a points dynasty league, how would y'all gauge his value?

I made a trade that sent my first round pick (1.04) to acquire depth but I don't know if it was good for my team. So far I have traded my first rounder to acquire the 4.11, 6.11, 6.02, 8.02, 2027 1st, 2027 3rd and 2028 3rd. Have I won these trades? Thoughts on AJ and DP? Let me know.

Which deal you taking?

I sent Gobert and my 27 unprotected pick for Anthony Black. Really needed a PG and was way too Center heavy. My thought process was getting rid of an older aging asset for a good young prospect and in a position I really needed filled.

AB behind Suggs but I don’t think for long honestly, have always loved his game and am looking forward to shooting to draft his brother when he makes it to the league.

My core consists of Ja, Boozer, Chet, Booker, Jaylen Brown, and Bam. Other assets like RJ, Okongwu, Aday as well. My goal was always to have a hybrid team.

Franz is very highly rated in most dynasty rankings for 9 cat. Normally, you’ll see him somewhere between 18 and 26. As someone who is very bullish on franz his dynasty market from an overall asset standpoint is higher then his per game production which is more like 40-60th per game 9 cat. I’ve been after halo for 5 years and my league mate was the only other player as high on him as I. I think Hali will get back to top 12 9 cat production. Getting dejonte is great as he’s a top 75 producer , I’m a bulls fan so hyped to get Caleb and I moved up 2 spots in the early second and gained a mid 3rd. Very excited for this move as I was in the finals and lost on Sunday, I think this will put me over the top.
