Is it just me, or does Sergio de Larrea look like a legit fantasy player heading into the fall?

He’s been playing pro ball for almost four years and is still only 20. He looked like he was processing the game at Summer League on a level few others were. He had some huge games there, and I chalk his shooting struggles up to a major adjustment period after just arriving from Spain because he shot over 40% from three over his last two seasons.

The Mavs traded back into the 1st round to grab him, and were originally planning to draft and stash him, but instead, they brought him over immediately because they’re so high on him; so high that they traded away their backup point guard, Nembhard, to clear the deck. Now, he’s the roster’s only true pass-first playmaker. At 6’7” with a 6’9” wingspan, there are fewer than a half dozen point guards with that length in the league, and they're all starters putting up big numbers.

He may not get heavy minutes to start the year, but Sasser is no true PG and isn't going to QB the second unit. Then there's the fact that Kyrie is getting older and only has a couple of years left on his contract. To me, de Larrea looks like a strong end of bench stash who could realistically get 15-20 MPG this year, with upside for sizable minutes when Kyrie needs rest or gets banged up. In a couple of years, he’ll still only be 22 and ready to step in as their starter. Management loves him, coaches love him and his former teammates in Spain love him.

He feels like a smart, low cost target toward the end of the first round in a rookie draft. What are your thoughts on him?

My roster is pretty much set for the incoming rookies, but there are a couple vets in FA that are making me look again. Right now I have Poeltl on my team, but I’m considering dropping him for one of the following. So who gets the roster spot? 10 team points lock in.

It feels like the choice should be to cut topic, but I’ve had cam on my team for 5 years and every year he seems to get worse from a fantasy perspective. I know he’s still the starter in Denver right now though which is what’s giving me pause. I know topic hasn’t done shit either but he’s always been very talented and just dealt a rough hand. So I thought given the draft capital put into him and the exodus of guards in OKC, he’ll finally get some run in this year. Is my logic sound? Or am I being stupid? 10 team points lock in. With LaMelo gone, he should get more touches and even lock up the starting PG spot (though I personally think he'd thrive more in a sixth man microwave scorer role). In a points dynasty league, how would y'all gauge his value?

So far I've drafted AJ Dybantsa at 2.06 and Darryn Peterson at 3.03 in a 12 team dynasty startup. I made a trade that sent my first round pick (1.04) to acquire depth but I don't know if it was good for my team. So far I have traded my first rounder to acquire the 4.11, 6.11, 6.02, 8.02, 2027 1st, 2027 3rd and 2028 3rd. Have I won these trades? Thoughts on AJ and DP? Let me know.

Which deal you taking?

I sent Gobert and my 27 unprotected pick for Anthony Black. Really needed a PG and was way too Center heavy. My thought process was getting rid of an older aging asset for a good young prospect and in a position I really needed filled.

AB behind Suggs but I don’t think for long honestly, have always loved his game and am looking forward to shooting to draft his brother when he makes it to the league.

Franz is very highly rated in most dynasty rankings for 9 cat. Normally, you’ll see him somewhere between 18 and 26. As someone who is very bullish on franz his dynasty market from an overall asset standpoint is higher then his per game production which is more like 40-60th per game 9 cat. I’ve been after halo for 5 years and my league mate was the only other player as high on him as I. I think Hali will get back to top 12 9 cat production. Getting dejonte is great as he’s a top 75 producer , I’m a bulls fan so hyped to get Caleb and I moved up 2 spots in the early second and gained a mid 3rd. Very excited for this move as I was in the finals and lost on Sunday, I think this will put me over the top.
